The thing is: Where are the 'better bargains'?
If market looks like prices are falling, it quickly jumps back again.

FBNH for instance, went down to 6.80 based on ETI news but quickly reverses up to 7.10 in no time again.

We keep observing Mr. Market anyway......

Btw, where is FCMB Q3 result? Or I'm I the one that missed it?

Lol. Mr. Market must be confusing the chartists by now too. grin

Seems whosoever is waiting for bottom bargain will wait tire, especially in sound stocks.
See Zenith, went down low yesterday, up today again.
Bad bad news can't even have much hold on Mr. Market around this time.
One of the reasons why I told one guy asking when to buy Access/Zenith, to just close eye and buy some at current price, then averaging down or averaging up may follow thereafter.

Folks should calm down. ETI result presents huge opportunities, huge upsides. Smart investors are positioning. Note that it's an audited result for a reason. Watch out for the ride

I said it some Moon ago that some of my investment decision is based on what I see on the street. When was the last time you went to any eti branch, you will vow not to deal with them again. In most states they have closed many branches. The customer service is wacked, their IT innovation is zero compared to other Banks,no serious business man gives their account for business.Infact I went to a particular branch and they could not attend to me because of no phcn power.I stopped my boys somewhere in the north to stop using the business account as it was originally oceanic. It is so problematic to transfer from eti via mobile phone to other Banks..Once it steps to October of most yrs the network become a big problem to transact business. on.
It is just like I just shake my head anytime some are promoting Guinness. When did you go to any seat out, club, joints, hotel and see Guinness products on the table (beer) even thr malt drink
The worst off them all i are his insurance companies. When you go to some of thr office, you will be wondering why they are wasting money in renting some of the office space

Hold on for now.
The result is yet to circulate round. Panic dumpers are still coming.
Keep monitoring/watching out for the bottom.

If you must buy, you may start to position from Monday's day-low price .......

Remember this is strictly my opinion. DD advised.

**Updated**: Some entities/Bargainers are packing it at 5.35 like earlier observed.........but still keep eye on the price mvmt or you follow your mind.
I no wan hear say na Mcy made me to miss ETI at 5.35 oooo. Lol. grin

My bro I do Guinness too(stout).I do one max but when I sit and look around you will realize that Guinness beer sector is gone with what life,33,hero, champion is doing in the larger brand. Then dubic, grand malt and others have taken over the malt brand. Then star Ragnar is giving simenof ice run for thr money. The stout brand which i belong to are not for quantity consumers. The ony hope left in Guinness is the spirit sector. Then again the government import policy and the economy is not helping the likes of red label, blue and other expensive labels. The betters are now plenty from ghana

Sometimes these things don't work like that o......though it may be a pointer.

You'll have to ask:
If no one patronizes them, where do they make their money/profits from?
Why are they still in existence with staff members and can still afford to pay them monthly salaries ?
Where do banks makes their huge profits from? Are you telling me it's from customers' small small deposits?
How many customers keep plenty cash in their accounts again.....when we have various interest yielding instruments that pays better than bank interests?

It's more than just using physical sites to judge these things.
I won't want to give you example of one or 2 coys that you can hardly see the names or office anywhere self......but are making loads of cash in profit.

Anyway, that's my way of seeing things from my amateur's perspective.
Anybody may come with counter argument but don't attack me based on this post. grin

You are right some how,you may not have physical offices but your products/service are top and not in ghost mood.Let me give you a typical example during the 2008 crash. Each time I drive pass rojeny resort you will see that forest has taken over the place but when I go to nse,I still see people biding for thr shares.Another was standard alliance insurance. My wife did everything possible to make me pickup one of thr packages. And I refused because I knew it was matter of time, they will come crashing . Even when she was no longer thr, clients whr calling and threatening her for the company to have decieved them after expiration of the contribution for 3 yrs ,5 yrs and could not access thr money

I am not analyst but to be very sincere with you, something is fundamentally wrong with ETI, they swallowed a dead big animal that refused to digest. I used to operate a salary account with them. I started seeing some signs that all is not well with their services not long after they took over that Oceanic Bank but was hesitant in moving because of the bureaucracy in changing a salary account where I work. I had to summon courage last year ending to do because of incessant network unavailability, unreliability and general poor service delivery.

Around Abuja and its environs where I reside, several branches have been shut down. There used to be 2 branches in Gwarimpa, now 1 has been closed with the other offering epileptic services. Same thing with Kubwa, Garki Area 3 had 1 main Ecobank now closed. Garki area 7 and 8 have 1 branch each adjacent to each other. The one in Area 8 is so poor in service that sometimes operations is halted when there is no electricity from AEDC. Another one in shippers plaza, wuse zone 5 now closed. Madalla branch is also now closed(Though the closure of this is said to due to the planned expansion of road Abuja- Kaduna.

They may be others branches closed that I have not even observed. Most times their ATM machine will pay other bank customers but for their customers carrying their cards " Issuer will be inoperative". It is only easier to cash money from accounts with them through POS.

All these plus the fact that they do even not pay dividend these days make it seem very unappealing to me.
