This image was culled from Uk visit visa thread, it’s not for the student visa, student visa is PBS, just keep the money in the account needed for tuition and maintenance for 28days, you need not explain to anyone why your brother send you money

Good day,
I want to ask what will be the result if applicant is denied student visa and one has already paid tuition fee. Will she get the tuition fee back?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by caleb00(m): 11:34pm On Dec 04, 2020
Yes but they might ask you to provide evidence of visa refusal

I started counting the following day the amount dropped in my account.

What I want to know is if the day of the closing balance is included in the 28days

LagosismyHome:

Maybe add one or two day .... if you have time then print 29 or day 30th but the start date and end date on the account should be this time frame

Anyone can pay for you but can you trust 'a friend' with such amount of money? I paid my tuition deposit with Wema bank and I didn't have an account with them prior to the time. I went to a branch and opened an account. I waited a bit and the account was ready in like 1 hour or so (told the lady I needed to fund the account with #2m immediately. She worked on it sharp sharp). When the account was ready, I transfered funds to it and filled form A.

I think that's better than transferring such amount of money to someone. Except you trust this friend so much or the friend pays with his/her funds then you reimburse him/her.

Yes. As long as you get your 28 day count right and your money doesn't dip at anytime during the 28 day count, your closing balance is not an issue.
The closing balance will be for the day you print (if you submit within 30 days of printing) or your balance on your submission date (if your count ended immediately before your submission date or you print for the 28 days immediately preceding your online application after submitting).

You can try. During my time I did not go to their website. I just called and the lines were not going through.

Went to their office immediately. Got booked and I went to make payments to the back. Came back at the date I was booked. I don't even know their email address.
Thank you

Good morning everyone. Please those going to Teesside University and those who are there already, kindly help me with this question. Is it possible to meet up with deadline of submitting statement of account to school on the 4th or January if the money enter the account on the 7th of December? Hope it won't be too late? Someone with better idea should help out please.

You will need to open an account with them. Try Keystone bank. I used their Lekki branch, opened an account with them on Wednesday, funded it on Thursday and got deposited that same day and yesterday, they sent my telex. They are very fast.

You should start counting from Dec 8 if the money drops on Dec 7 and this means that your 28th day will be Jan 4.

You's a wikid mann grin the key point is 'from gbp to ngn'
biggiyke:
This argument about currency conversion is unnecessary and totally embarrassing.
The fact that this argument is between intending Master's degree students makes it all the more shocking. What a shame!! What a big shame!!
This is primary 5/6 Maths.
If you guys can't bury your heads in shame and stop populating this thread with such nonsense, well, some of us are embarrassed on your behalf.
You intend to study in the UK and you cannot convert your fees from GBP to NGN or otherwise.
My advice, no need converting your naira, take it and register for First School Leaving Certificate. Or better still, get a Primary 6 pupil to teach you that. Make sure you pay for the lessons.
When you can do your conversions yourself, come back here and tell us your answer, then we can discuss studying a Master's program.

This is an academic forum, If u don’t have any source for ur information then u better not comment rather than come here to fart with ur mouth.

If u can write things without references then I wonder how u can write ur thesis in the UK and succeed.

Cheers.

Not all Nigerians are this way bro, you should say Unreasonable Nigerians... Besides Biggiyke was 100% correct. Egocentricism blocks the mind. You have also made the same mistake of converting from naira to pounds instead of the other way round but no one has bashed you cos you seem to be conversing not arguing blindly... for the sake of future thread readers, converting from naira to pounds shows you already know the amount in naira. Since you already know the amount in naira, what's the point of the conversion.

A very simple logic that an open minded primary school guy will understand like biggiyke said :

Akpos take £9207, give it to Mr Oanda, let him change it to naira for you..

Chreze:
Here is what I have realized as a Nigerian who grew up in Nigerian did some study abroad and visited some other countries for vacation. (Make I buga small as Nigerian wey I be grin)

As Nigerians, we are all about being “Right” hence the reason why we can’t have conversations without argument, abuses and fights. We always want to be heard (I think this is because we have been oppressed for so many years by leaders, from the British to past and present Nigerian leaders). This has made everyone (almost) always wanting to show their level of education and intelligence even at the expense of sounding rude and abusive.

I have had conversations with people from other countries and what’s always important in their conversation is “Learning” and giving “Advice”. They speak more from experience and when it’s “hear say” they quote and make it know it’s “hear say” or “I read”. But for us Nigerians, it’s quite different, because we respect our uncle that told us that thing, we are ready to fight or abuse another with that information (forgetting that this elderly ones this days lie a lot). The whole UK tread has been arguing and fighting all week for things that I shud share my own experience or hear say and you share yours too. But we tend to insult people or trample on their personality just cos we think we are right. Being in UK for years doesn’t mean you know it all, and I know as human we sometimes feel little or small when someone who just joined seem to know more than us, but you don’t have to always respond to your feelings. In conversations just have an open mind to things. Give advice and that’s it, it’s up to the person to use the advice or let it go. You can’t force people to believe in things you believe in. Ask yourself why countries outside Nigerian live with gay, lesbians and trans, it’s not because everyone accepts it, it’s because you have to respect people’s decisions and not bash them. Yes your religion is against it, but your religion is not the only one in the world and you can’t force anyone to a religion.

That said, I plead that we Respect other people’s view in life, you may not agree with it, but just respect it and not run them down for it. This has lead to people not sharing new informations and updated information here because they fear one old papa will start to run them down and trash them. For me, I think it is more of English to me and not how other sites does theirs. “Currency I have” (maybe any currency, usd, pounds, euro or IRN, but in this case naira cos that is what I have) and “Currency I want“ ( could be anything, but in this case, pounds, cos that’s the money I want to get with the naira I have). Remember that this oanda site is used by every other part of the world and not just Nigerians. This has got nothing to do with living in UK, being a professor, an accountant, medical doctor, Maths teacher or even a first class graduate. And I understand why someone will be disappointed by masters applicant having this difficulty, and that is because we made it “Argument” instead of “Conversation”.

Please let’s learn to respect each other, that’s the only way we can share ideas and grow.

Blessed day to everyone.
