ECE evaluated my transcripts and it took one week. From 4.08/5.0 to 3.47/4.0... It’s true that they reduce gpa but it’s slightly better than WES. Wes takes more time because after receiving your transcripts, they’ll send another form to your school to complete and send back for confirmation. But ECE evaluates immediately they receive your official transcripts. If not for the cost, it’s better to send transcripts to both companies and choose the own that gives you a higher gpa

First of all, you need to calm down, and prepare well. The journey no be rush rush own oo.


Moving forward, I will advise you evaluate your transcript via WES, you might be lucky to get a boost in your GPA. In addition, Spring 2021 seems to be late considering you are new in the process and the level of preparation you need to put in.

After you have evaluated your transcript, then the GPA would determine the schools you would apply. This also depends on the program you want to apply to, I mean your field of study.

If I were you, I would convince the admission committee by taking GRE and acing it exceptionally. Will also advise you take TOEFL. You might want to argue that most schools are waiving GRE for Fall 2021 applicants, however, since you have a low GPA, you need to stand out in something, and GRE coul be the magical pointer to your profile.

Fall 2021 should be your target, and not Spring.

With all my story, what are the steps needed
1) Evaluate your result using WES. Google more on that or visit www.wes.org
2) take couple of months to prepare for GRE and TOEFL, and ace them very well
3) Then, begin to google for schools that align with your program, course of study and profile
4) Then mail GCs, not compulsory though, of your programs and ask specific questions that relate to the program and your profile.
5) You will need to keep some dollars to pay application fees. You might be lucky, some schools might have app fee waiver. So ask, and it shall be given.

The most important thing here is that NEVER RUSH.

I saw 160 dollars on their website however I total of 245$ was generated at the end of the application.

Yes it should be around that 245 plus, if you aren’t requesting courier service. But make sure you select course by course evaluation. That alone is $160. You’re on the right track.

Hello, Gurus in the house.......I am transfixed by this situation. I need your genuine advice even as I proceed to explain 'em all.
I went for my visa interview in November this year but it was delayed (painful sha). Although, I don't want to mention it because I felt I might be able to pursue two degrees at the same time (Forgive me if I sound selfish). I am currently an online student at Brigham Young University, Idaho. Currently, I am about to complete 13 credit hours and in the past during the pandemic, I have already completed 15 credit hours . I have been thinking of transferring to Idaho State University (ISU has granted me admission already), but, the main reason I decided not to mention it(To the school) was because of the issue of visa denials. I want to be on campus and feel the university experience and at the same time, if I am denied, I have something to fall back on (continuing my studies at BYU-Idaho). what if my visa is been denied again? won't I be stranded? Because when I transfer I won't be a student of BYU-I anymore (please help me confirm this). What are my chances if I should transfer all my credits to ISU? Will it be favorable?....... I am sorry guys for the long note.
***Note: Idaho State University gave me admission in my preferred major.
