Nigeria must surely get to its own "Canaan", and the current generation will be one to lead it there. The older generation (the political class and their supporters) feel that by standing in our way the will stop this movement, but many of them fail to understand that in the next 30 years they will either be alive, or weak and the movement will still be alive. |

Buhari says protest but don’t destroy property. The police says don’t don’t protest at all. The constitution says protest is an undeniable right. The protesters have not gone to court over these. Not one wrong doing or impunity has been challenged in court. Both the protesters and the protestees don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Tertiary institutions remain closed while politicians’ wards are graduating all over the world abroad. Minimum monthly wage cannot buy food for 1 person for a period of 1 month. Health facilities are grossly overwhelmed while medics are leaving for greener pastures in droves (recent stats show it’s at an all-time high. The Nigerian naira is teetering towards becoming less powerful than the CFA franc. Needless to say but poverty, impunity, insecurity, kidnappings and unwanton killings are at an unprecedented rate. This country na wa. |
