So, we should blame everyone else apart from the muslim governors, the muslim leaders and the muslim boko haram for the terrorism in Northern Nigeria?

See how your fundamentalist version of islam has turned you into a lying propagandist?

The people to blame for terrorism and insecurity in the North are the muslim governors, the president and the imams who allowed people to be radicalized. The muslim governors not investing enough in empowerment and education. The Northern Nigeria has the highest amount of beggars (almajiri) and illiterates.

Keep trying to absolve muslims from the things they have done while they have done while claiming to be good muslims.

Before you argue with me, answer a simple question- who is responsible for this insecurity in the north?

Sharia is a total failure in Nigeria.

The sharia regions of Nigeria are home to the poorest and most illiterate areas of Nigeria.

Muslims fare better under secularism. See how Yoruba muslims live in peace with yoruba Christians in the south.

All religions under one roof equally represented. Secularism

I know you have serious problems with Islam and muslims. This is fact. What brought Nigeria to this mess is not Sharia but Nigerian 1999 constitution. Ask any politicians that have complained about Nigeria, they condemned 1999. You can ask Senator Adeyeye Fumes. He clearly said Nigerian constitution is Nigeria's problem.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D0trNUB-ME

Not only him, there are quite number of mainstream media like this also claimed Nigerian constitution is the problem.

"For me, Nigerian constitution is our problem. The 1999 constitution is the bane of our problem. Some even said Nigerian constitution is fraud" - Dele Adesina

You are part of the problem. Religious bigot like you is the reason for irrational hatred and you created religious tension and hide behind atheism. While in fact, you are Christian or sympathize with Christianity.

Nigerian constitution is a failure. Is Sharia law also responsible for stupidity in the Southwest?. Until you reason from your head instead of your anus, and get over ethnic and religious bias and bigotry, the country will never move forward.

The two things that relegated Nigeria to pathetic state of affairs is ethnic and religious bigotry.

Empiree,

Simple question-

Is it the constitution that is making southern Nigeria more literate and prosperous than the south?

Is it the constitution that is causing high rates illiteracy, child marriages and almajiris in the north?

Sharia has failed in Nigeria. Simple and short

You are still not truthful to yourself. The people in the videos I posted have spoken. Nigeria is listed as the 3rd capital poverty in the world. Entire citizens of nigeria are affected not only North. You are being deceitful for trying to single out Northern part of the country. By the way, it seems you don't know the meaning of Almajiri. It is Yoruba christians that deliberately messed up the pronunciation to undermine northern muslims. It is not "Almajiri'. It is called Al muhajirun i:e immigrants.

Once again, it is people like you that stare up religious and ethnic bigotry in the county. Nigeria constitution (secular democracy) is fraud and disgrace. It is what brought Nigeria to the pathetic situation. You guys are not peaceful. Did you even know that it was christians that convinced Yakubu Gowon during his administration to borrow money on interest from IMF instead of OIC (organisation of Islamic conference) in 1974?. That millions of dollars loan is still being paid till today. Your grandfather, your father, you, your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are still paying this loan. This is the genesis of Nigeria problem. OIC wanted to give interest free loan to Nigeria but greed, jealousy and hatred of christians for islam ad muslims is what led to this mess and you children of hate and bigotry continue to carry on this hate. smh

Guy, you are diverting away from the point-

Why is the North poorer and more illiterate than the south of Nigeria?

Sharia has failed in the North. simple and short.

Are there not muslims in the south? Do you know that I worked in a muslim town in the south? There are many towns like that in Oyo and Osun. They do not have problems with christians. I enjoyed myself in the muslim town. How man non-muslims can say that about the Northern muslims and their towns?

Sharia is directly responsible for the high numbers of illiteracy in the North and also child marriages. Prove me wrong

In the south, child marriages keep going down rapidly. Why is the north worse?
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Empiree: 12:32pm On Dec 02, 2020
If North is that bad, why are non-muslims still living there and making cool cash there?. Why not simply leave if it is that terrible?. Are there not non muslim Igbo and yoruba and other tribes in the North just as you said that you live or lived with muslims in the South?. I have said it before and will say it again, people like you are the ones that are causing religious tension in the country. Just yesterday i came across a device built in the west to aid Nigerian christians in the North to convert fulani muslims to christianity. The device is programmed in fulani language to instruct fulani to stop praying and leave islam. Why do you guys always cause trouble?. Why do you guys always feel insecure about your religion?. Yo are the ones who want to convert entire country to christianity with the aid of Western countries. Why do you guys always look for problems where there is none?. Aren't there illiterate in Southwest, South South, Southeast etc?. And besides, how you do define illiterates?. Let me hear your definition, please.

Nigerian Politicians Are Destroying Our Young Girls -Dr Sam Amadi

By Njenje Media News - December 1, 2020

By SAM AMADI, Ph.D

Terrible things happen in Nigeria. We have lost the present and we want to lose the future. I just left Transcorp Hotel Abuja after my news analysis at Arise News TV. As I stepped to the lobby of the hotel, I saw a bevy of pretty young girls in their early 20s crowded in a corner. There were all skimpily dressed as if there were commercial sex workers. The time was 10.30pm.

One of them rushed to greet me. “Good evening sir”. She was one of my students. I recognized her clearly because she had a slight disability and I paid attention to make sure she followed the coursework. I was shocked. I recognized three of those hotly dressed pretty young girls as fresh graduates of my department.

What are they all coming to do at this kind of Hotel at this hour and dressed in this manner? Of course, I think I know what it is. A Nigerian politician or man of means have arranged them for his pleasure and those of his friends and acquaintances. Everyday, our girls are disoriented by these politicians who have neither shame nor conscience because they have access to power and money.

We pride ourselves that we have a large youth population and that is a huge asset. But the truth is that we have a large hardware. The software is highly corrupted. Why do we intend to organize these adolescents into the life of immorality?

This reminds me of the experience I had as a special adviser to senate president. Once we went to open a new government house built by a Governor in one of the southeast states. The Governor arranged a special reception for us. When we got to the venue of the so-called reception, I wa shocked. Tens of very young girls sourced from the nearby university – between 17-22 years- were already dancing with top government officials.

I screamed and accosted the majority leader of the State House of Assembly. He boldly answered “Man Sammy, these adolescents are our counterparts”. Wow. What? I requested to be taken back to the hotel. That was the end of the reception for me. I couldn’t believe that someone will arrange first year students for an entourage that has the Senate President and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education. We are finished.

These politicians have done more harms than you can imagine. They have destroyed the economy. They have destroyed infrastructure. They have also destroyed the morality and the viability of our human capital. How can such young girls who are debased that early rise up to be moral champions of tomorrow? How? Pretty difficult.’

So the guy that behead the French teacher because of Muhammad, street was named after him in his native land. He was called a lion of Islam.

This is what happens when Muhammad himself order his companions to kill because someone insult/harm him and Allah.

[
b]Narrated Al-Bara bin Azib:

Allah's Apostle sent some men from the Ansar to ((kill) Abu Rafi, the Jew, and appointed 'Abdullah bin Atik as their leader. Abu Rafi used to hurt Allah's Apostle and help his enemies against him. He lived in his castle in the land of Hijaz. When those men approached (the castle) after the sun had set and the people had brought back their livestock to their homes. Abdullah (bin Atik) said to his companions, "Sit down at your places. I am going, and I will try to play a trick on the gate-keeper so that I may enter (the castle)." So 'Abdullah proceeded towards the castle, and when he approached the gate, he covered himself with his clothes, pretending to answer the call of nature. The people had gone in, and the gate-keeper (considered 'Abdullah as one of the castle's servants) addressing him saying, "O Allah's Servant! Enter if you wish, for I want to close the gate." 'Abdullah added in his story, "So I went in (the castle) and hid myself. When the people got inside, the gate-keeper closed the gate and hung the keys on a fixed wooden peg. I got up and took the keys and opened the gate. Some people were staying late at night with Abu Rafi for a pleasant night chat in a room of his. When his companions of nightly entertainment went away, I ascended to him, and whenever I opened a door, I closed it from inside. I said to myself, 'Should these people discover my presence, they will not be able to catch me till I have killed him.' So I reached him and found him sleeping in a house amidst his family, I could not recognize his location in the house. So I shouted, 'O Abu Rafi!' Abu Rafi said, 'Who is it?' I proceeded towards the source of the voice and hit him with the sword, and because of my perplexity, I could not kill him. He cried loudly, and I came out of the house and waited for a while, and then went to him again and said, 'What is this voice, O Abu Rafi?' He said, 'Woe to your mother! A man in my house has hit me with a sword! I again hit him severely but I did not kill him. Then I drove the point of the sword into his belly (and pressed it through) till it touched his back, and I realized that I have killed him. I then opened the doors one by one till I reached the staircase, and thinking that I had reached the ground, I stepped out and fell down and got my leg broken in a moonlit night. I tied my leg with a turban and proceeded on till I sat at the gate, and said, 'I will not go out tonight till I know that I have killed him.' So, when (early in the morning) the cock crowed, the announcer of the casualty stood on the wall saying, 'I announce the death of Abu Rafi, the merchant of Hijaz. Thereupon I went to my companions and said, 'Let us save ourselves, for Allah has killed Abu Rafi,' So I (along with my companions proceeded and) went to the Prophet and described the whole story to him. "He said, 'Stretch out your (broken) leg. I stretched it out and he rubbed it and it became All right as if I had never had any ailment whatsoever."
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by IdisuleOurOwn(m): 10:59pm On Dec 09, 2020
The killings will never stop when you have Hadith like. Hadith are the saying and doings of prophet Muhammad.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

Allah's Apostle ﷺ said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet ﷺ said, "You may say it." Then Muhammad bin Maslama went to Kab and said, "That man (i.e. Muhammad demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you." On that, Kab said, "By Allah, you will get tired of him!" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food." (Some difference between narrators about a camel load or two.) Kab said, "Yes, (I will lend you), but you should mortgage something to me." Muhammad bin Mas-lama and his companion said, "What do you want?" Ka'b replied, "Mortgage your women to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our women to you and you are the most handsome of the 'Arabs?" Ka'b said, "Then mortgage your sons to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our sons to you? Later they would be abused by the people's saying that so-and-so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you." Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion promised Kab that Muhammad would return to him. He came to Kab at night along with Kab's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. Kab invited them to come into his fort, and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, "Where are you going at this time?" Kab replied, "None but Muhammad bin Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na'ila have come." His wife said, "I hear a voice as if dropping blood is from him, Ka'b said. "They are none but my brother Muhammad bin Maslama and my foster brother Abu Naila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed." Muhammad bin Maslama went with two men. (Some narrators mention the men as 'Abu bin Jabr. Al Harith bin Aus and Abbad bin Bishr). So Muhammad bin Maslama went in together with two men, and sail to them, "When Ka'b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strip him. I will let you smell his head." Kab bin Al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said. " have never smelt a better scent than this. Ka'b replied. "I have got the best 'Arab women who know how to use the high class of perfume." Muhammad bin Maslama requested Ka'b "Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka'b said, "Yes." Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka'b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka'b said, "Yes." When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him. (Abu Rafi) was killed after Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf."

When you are promised paradise

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

On the day of the battle of Uhud, a man came to the Prophet and said, "Can you tell me where I will be if I should get martyred?" The Prophet replied, "In Paradise." The man threw away some dates he was carrying in his hand, and fought till he was martyred .

When those that are martyred will have superiority on the day of resurrection. You will have more people willing to kill.

Narrated Qatada:

We do not know of any tribe amongst the 'Arab tribes who lost more martyrs than Al-Ansar, and they will have superiority on the Day of Resurrection. Anas bin Malik told us that seventy from the Ansar were martyred on the day of Uhud, and seventy on the day (of the battle of) Bir Ma'una, and seventy on the day of Al-Yamama. Anas added, "The battle of Bir Ma'una took place during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle and the battle of Al-Yamama, during the caliphate of Abu Bakr, and it was the day when Musailamah Al-Kadhdhab was killed."

Ismaila Ashipa writes:

A church in London had rules that it would not employ anyone, without formal high school education. The old pastor was benign and not a stickler of rules. He allowed Alfred (who lacked formal education) as the caretaker to clean the pews, sweep the floor and keep the podium spick and span.

Alfred had put off taking his high school examination till it became too late.

Once the old pastor retired, he was replaced by a younger person who followed the rule book. As he came to know about the caretaker’s education, he issued a notice to him that either he should get a high school certificate in six months or he should resign.

Alfred knew that you could not teach an old dog new tricks and that he had no option but to resign.

He started out his afternoon stroll in deep thought and got into Bond Street. Suddenly, he felt an urge to smoke. He could not find a single tobacco shop on the entire street.

He walked further down into a side street where he could purchase his cigarette. He came back to the busy Bond Street. He realized that a small cigarette shop in the street would be a sound business proposition.

He resigned at the church and started a small shop on Bond Street which prospered way beyond his expectations. He noticed that many of his customers were coming from the other side of the street. He started another shop on that side of Bond Street.
The two shops multiplied to four and then sixteen In three years, Alfred Dunhill Co. was soon a leading tobacconist in England.

He started machine-rolling cigarettes and introduced his own brand of Dunhill cigarettes. In five years, he was a millionaire many times over.

To ensure a consistent supply of tobacco, he entered into an annual purchase agreement with a couple of American tobacco farmers and went across to America to meet them.

It was a big boost for the American tobacco farmers and the contract signing ceremony was converted into a media circus, with a Senator and Governor participating.

When the contracts were actually signed, Dunhill affixed his thumb impression because he had not learnt to sign his name.

The Governor was impressed and said, “Well Sir! This is awesome. Even without a formal education you have achieved so much. Just imagine what you would have done if you had a formal education!”

Dunhill’s characteristic, often repeated reply, was,

“If I knew how to read and write, I would still be sweeping the church!”

*What do you learn from this?*

Some people, faced with such a situation will fold up & die, or cry witch hunt or marginalisation, unaware that heaven is presenting them with a rare opportunity to break forth. Some would even go to their pastors & arrange for prayer warriors to pray down fire & brimstone on their relatives who are the perceived architects of their troubles, forgetting that it is God who created the blacksmith & ordered him to forge weapons of war, as well as the waster who uses them to wreak havoc. May God give us this day, the wisdom to discover the opportunities in our adversities.
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Empiree: 2:28pm On Dec 12, 2020
If Nigeria is a country that works for ordinary citizens, what we hear as Testimonies in Shiloh is a normal way of life for citizens in countries where the system works for citizens.

“ I just bought my personal house at 40! Join me to thank God” and the audience would clap while thanking the God of Oyedepo for the great and mighty thing he has done.

But in countries that work like Sweden or Norway, buying/building your personal house is not a big deal or something so big to be seen as a Shiloh testimony by citizens of those countries.

And this is why: Norway is a country that works for citizens and Norwegian government has made it very easy for citizens to own their personal house without fasting or praying about it.

“ I just got a US visa, I was rejected twice bu US embassy in Lagos but I got it the third time after praying in the name of Papa Oyedepo” praise God oooo and the audience clapped and hailed their Papa but a citizen of Japan can travel to 191 countries including United state of America and UK visa free, just with his/her Japanese passport without a visa and without praying in the name of Oyedepo for a visa simply because Japan is a country that works for her citizens.

Japan has the strongest passport in the world in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index because it is a country that works.

“ I just got a job after joining living faith church. I joined the 40 days fasting and after thr fasting has ended, I got a call from Shell to come for an interview and was employed subsequently. God of living faith is working” and the audience cheered.

But in Finland, a friend who recently relocated to that country did not join any living faith branch before landing the lucrative job that is paying his bills at the moment because Finland government provided a conducive investment environment for investors to invest and then create jobs for citizens and immigrants that include Obiora my friend.

Religion in this part of country is actually flourishing because our country Is not working for ordinary citizens , we have outsourced our problems to God because our government has failed us, this has made us to depend on God’s mercy and grace to survive and flourish in the absence of government.

If Nigeria is working at the moment, not many Nigerians will not pay attention to what is happening in Shiloh or even travel to Ota to be part of the annual religious rites.

Shiloh is booming because Nigerians are hopeless and they are going through a lot, they have no other person or place to turn to for solutions to their problem except God so Shiloh has come to offer a buffer and a source of hope against the many problems that Nigerians are going through but it is not normal.

Make no mistake about this; I don’t have anything against my friends who are currently attending Shiloh, it is their choice and personal liberty to do so but the point of this post is that we need to make Nigeria work and to see Nigeria work in our lifetime, if for anything, because of our kids.

Attributing to God’s grace and favour what appears to be a normal way of life for citizens in countries that work is a sign of a failed dysfunctional country.

This is worrying.

Farewell to a Yoruba, Muslim Princess

I will start with a footnote on the billionaire Bishop, David Bello Oyedepo. He was born a Muslim, named Hasan by his father Bello Oyedepo. His mother was a Christian who converted to Islam when she married Bello. Bello had three other wives. After his higher education, Hasan became David. He instantly became a strong, aggressive and successful Christian activist. With his stupendous wealth, he reverted his mother to Christianity; then his father and brothers; then all except his three stepmothers who stuck to their guns and died Muslims. The last of them—Aasiyat— is the subject matter of this piece.

I set out searching for her in late 2013 when I read about how Bishop Oyedepo allegedly prophesized that she will die a miserably poor woman unless she converts to Christianity, like most other members of his family. Muslims on social media were shocked by the Bishop’s utterances.

After reading about her, I set out to meet her in 2013. I visited the headquarters of the Living Faith Church in Iyana Apaja, Lagos. Someone in a nearby mosque told me that the native home of the Oyedepos is in Omuaran, Kwara State. I drove to Ilorin the following morning and arrived Omuaran during Juma’ah congregation. After the prayer, I met the leaders of the mosque, introduced myself and asked about “Bishop Oyedepo’s sister who refused to convert to Christianity.” They became sceptical and started to interrogate me. They even brought a Fulani herder to confirm that I was indeed Fulani.

Finally, I was handed over to one brother, Bello Saad Bamidele, with whom we drove a short distance before arriving at the Oyedepo family house. Behind the front block was a flat in which a woman in her sixties was living. Bello entered and announced our arrival. After she was ready, I was ushered into her parlour. She was shy, full of smiles, but few words. She spoke only Yoruba; so Bello was very handy at the time and on my subsequent visits to her.

I did not want to open fresh wounds especially giving her shy nature; so I avoided asking her about her relationship with David. Instead, we focussed on Islam. I told her that it saddens other Muslims to learn about the pressure on her to convert to Christianity and salute her resolve to remain Muslim. I expressed the solidarity of other Nigerian Muslims with her and recounted the testimony that God gave about her namesake, the wife of Pharaoh, who kept her faith in the face of difficulties and, before God, became a symbol of faith who prayed to Him for a house in Heaven and rescue from Pharaoh and oppression.

Before I left her that afternoon, I asked Aasiyat if she had a request before the Muslim Ummah. She smiled and dropped her head for a while. Finally, when she gathered the courage to open up, she giraffed and whispered into the ear of Bello, who, having heard her request, shouted Allahu akbar! “What did she say,” I enquired, impatiently. He said, “She will love to fulfil her lifetime ambition—a pilgrimage to Mecca.” Look! She did not ask for money. Not a house or anything material. But just a spiritual journey. I told her that it was a modest request and we will pray that God grants it..

Alhamdulillah. He did. By the time the Hajj season commenced in 2014, I got in touch with a great sister, Fatima Afolore Jimoh, the then Secretary of the Pilgrims Board in Ilorin. She assured me of a seat and helped a lot to see that things went well. I linked her up with Bello in Omuaran and all arrangement were completed. The scheme nearly got k-legged when Aasiyat’s sons and other family members discovered she would travel to Mecca. They started agitating against it but we were faster, alhamdulillah. We quickly ‘abducted’ Aasiyat from Omuaran, shipped her to Ilorin and hid her in a house until her day of departure to the Holy Land. Kudos to Fatima. What a great sister she is!

Aasiyat performed her hajj successfully without any hitch and returned from Mecca a very happy Muslim. She was all smiles when I visited her. She held a ceremony, thanking God for that. The Muslim community of Omuaran continued to support her especially when she fell sick lately. When we spoke last Monday, Saad told me she has recovered from a severe sickness. This morning, he told me that she relapsed and taken to a hospital in Ibadan, where she died last night. The most interesting part was that she was blessed with the Kalimah as her last word. Mashaallah!

And so was the end, here, for her. I salute her resolve to live by her conviction as I saluted the Boko Haram abducted girl—Liya Sharibu—who refused to convert to Islam as demanded by her captors. Aasiyat and the two cowives that died before her chose to remain Muslim. That is the power of conviction. She would have succumbed to the pressure from her two sons—surely the dearest to her heart—both of whom are now pastors, converted to Christianity by Bishop Oyedepo. No. She chose God over man and the Hereafter over the temporary glitters of this world. She died committed to her choice, a symbol of faith and conviction.

Sister Aasiyat Bello Oyedepo, the Princess of Islam, will be buried tomorrow afternoon in her native town of Omuaran. Our sincere condolences go to the Muslim community of Omuaran and Kwara State in general, to all those who anchored her in faith, including Bello and Sister Fatima. Our condolences also to the Oyedepos, including the Bishop David. May he soon revert to Hasan before he leaves the glitters of this world behind. Amin yaa Rabb! Nothing is beyond Him.

May the Princess of the Faithful, Aasiyat, meet in Heaven the symbols of faith—her namesake and Virgin Mary—where they will together dwell in the gardens and rivers which their Lord promised the righteous:

“Lo! The righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers.
Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King.” (54:54-55)

RIP. May she rest in power.

I dont believe in islam but I'm proud that she didn't convert to christianity because of money. Oyedepo pressured her but she didn't give in. Money is not everything. Prosperity preaching is a disgrace.
