Great thread @Blossomfirst. One can seldom find a Nigerian who loves to travel locally for fun. I've been to 13 states and I hope to make that number 36 in the next 3 years.
Do enjoy your travels and ignore those asking who bankrolls you... E concern dem? 8

Later, they'll come and claim women try to be seductive and baiting, when that's the last thing on her mind ever. How exactly is the OP seeking for their gaze with this thread now?

They won't think beyond sex, but all Nigerian girls have to offer is sex...

The message behind this kind of image passes traveling..

Guara Falls in Niger state..

It was a 1hr 45mins road trip to Gurara from Abuja with friends. It was pretty easy to find, just put it into Google map and follow the directions.

Getting there, we paid a gate fee of #1,000 and we got a tour guide.

The views, My God!!! Videos don’t even do it justice. You need to visit in person. But I tried to bring some views to you, Enjoy
Wow! Nice pics and I love your zeal

Wow!!! I haven't traveled past the south-west states in Nigeria. The pictures are lovely. It's gonna be difficult to travel to all the states in Nigeria due to the security issues facing the country, but I hope for peace across the land in 2021 and you are able to achieve your dream of reaching all the parts of the country.

Nice one, I love traveling too and intend exploring the middle east. I've only been to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, both in the UAE. I plan doing Israel, Saudi Arabia and Qatar very soon. It's always fun as you get to interact with the people, especially the food.

Egypt is one glorious land my legs must feel someday. Lol

A lot of discouraging news anyway but then again, you can't know the world while in your bedroom. Lol

Even things we see online most times are lies. OP's post got me salivating for more.

Lol.. Thanks for your concern dear. but I draw inspiration from various travellers such as Drew Binsky who has been to Afghanistan, Somalia, North Korea, Iraq, Iran etc. I believe I would be there one day when tensions calm down

That guy is an American citizen, if he gets kidnapped, his country can rescue him from those places you mentioned.

If you get kidnapped in Nigeria, you're on your own, let alone outside Nigeria.

BTW, your hair is not African!
African hair would be better than that thing you're hanging on your head.

Let's dress African!

Do you guys move in a group? I might be interested in joining your crew. Once in a while mehn, road trips makes so much sense. I've been docile for too long. Staying in a place tied down at work ain't good all year round.
Same here too...Haven't travelled or visited any other state in yearsssss

Hello Nairaland; I am Destine with my instagram handle as https://www.instagram.com/o.l.a.e.d.o_
I am in my 20s and I reside in Portharcourt, Nigeria though I studied in Enugu. I took it upon myself to travel to every single state in Nigeria; and though I am yet to achieve this dream, I am getting closer to achieving my dream. I have been to these states;

Lagos
Abuja
Niger
Bayelsa
Abia
Delta
Ebonyi
Edo
Nasarawa
Imo
Rivers (winks)
Kogi
Anambra.

I have been to Benin Republic too! I look forward to travel to the far north; plans are still underway grin grin

I detail my journeys on my various experiences travelling across the breadth and length of Nigeria and one thing I have discovered is that though we are from various tribes in Nigeria, we are all pretty much the same. I have learnt to respect the opinions, belief and culture of the people I meet. Trust me, you have no idea how fun this country can be!

Check out my pictures and enjoy the scenery of the country we call home!

For more travel stories and pictures check out my Instagram. Thanks

This is something I've always dreamt of doing. I shelved those plans due to insecurity but I'm encouraged by your experiences.

Do you travel by road? If yes, would you recommend?

Na wa for these thirsty Nairaland boys and jealous girls. The pictures are nice and the locations are amazing. One thing I’ve learned from traveling is people and locations don’t look as awesome when viewed personally. Many tourist locations have disappointed me so my new destinations are outside the country. Tourism is dead in Naija.

Yes, travel is good for mental health. It is the only activity which stops me running insane from my arduous job. If it gave an appreciation for the natives then colonization won’t happen in the first place.

Travelling is a soul renewal .you experience new things, feelings ,foods, lifestyle , languages, make new friends( for me,it's a No , I'll only be nice and accommodating but it doesn't go beyond that).

It's so much fun but make sure you're in safe hands, much better with people you love kiss

I don't believe you. No naija girl would spend her hard-earned money on tourism. They can spend on clothes, properties and cosmetics, but certainly not on tourism.

You must still be living in the dark ages..You can't just get it that woman can do stuff alone without the help of a man . Pls wake up Mr chauvinist .
