How many women would wish to marry a man that earns #30 000 monthly?

This life no balance. Our government is wicked.

Marriages and economic growth are directly proportional, especially in Conservative African societies.
The more middle-class growth, the more marriages.
Low middle-class growth, less marriages.
This should be very simple.

The Middle-Class man, lets say a pilot, gets married and employs a Night-Guard to guard his house. The Night-Guard makes some money from that employment and then marries. More marriages means, more jobs for photographers, event planners, etc. These guys make money and then marries.... Everything stems from that middle-class population. Reduce it, as Buhari, Tinubu and APC has done and you will gradually affect marriages. That is why I pity women who think their problem is spiritual. Most times, it isnt. Again, follow the economics.

In Nigeria's North, more insecurity and instability means less marriage. The bachelor is thinking about surviving and staying alive than marriage. There are many research studies that links low marriage rate to the existence of civil unrest, wars, etc.

I'm very surprised that people were voting for Buhari's Change in 2015 and Next Level in 2019 and were not thinking that the economic recession he came with wont affect your chances of marriages. Africans can be very foolish.
The man you want to marry is thinking about surviving economically and not being a burden to a woman and her people.
Again, this is common sense.

....And you deserve an applause shocked
Never knew people with intelligent reasonings are still on this forum.

What we have in our society today are beautiful women without character and brains. They are likened to a cemented grave. Containers look good when the content is so bad.

“On the other hand, most young people are distracted by what they call ‘fun’ and craving materialism. It is more like what Oliver De Coque said in one of his songs: Let’s celebrate today, tomorrow will take care of itself. A child cannot marry a child. Many men are more obsessed with buying cars than they are with raising and building a family. Some of those that eventually get married turn their wives and children into punching bags. So, it is beyond unemployment and poverty. It is more of a lack of vision and focus. Some of us married when we had nothing.”

I wont advise any woman to marry a man who makes 30 grand though
Especially in Lagos

All I advise is for the ladies to have REALISTIC expectations

Everything stems from that middle-class population. Reduce it, as Buhari, Tinubu and APC has done and you will gradually affect marriages. Yet your clueless government pegged minimum wage at #30 000 which they are still fighting against it's implementation.

Let's face reality. How many men earn above #40 000 monthly in Nigeria?

My brother, the topic is not about people marrying every weekend or not. What has been the outcome of the marriage on the partners? Do you know how many men of marriageable age that doesn't want to venture into that ? And it will keep getting worse because of we have decline in morals, ethics and values.save this word, in twenty years time, ladies cum women will kill to have a husband because it won't be about social pressure then , rather , a way out of financial captivity.

Well, if we're looking at the African terrain, where women are brought up with the mindset of dreaming of a utopian future which it is solely a 'responsible man's' job to make true, while the ladies only have little expectation put on them, then the system was always destined to come to this point sometime.
Such a society runs on a formula that detonates a time bomb of economic collapse as each woman born is a simultaneous increase in responsibility/liability and a loss of assets i.e. the male whose place she has taken in birth, hence is both a loss of wealth creation and creation of wealth loss.
Do the math and then you can tell why not only will desirable males be scarce but a major reason why Africa is far behind economically.

It's just tiring.

Why won't tiring? since every woman wants to be head of family, the right that husband has must be equal to wife, and no single man ready to let go of headship.

Even in aircraft, co pilot must submissive and obey the main pilot before they can have smooth and safe trip.

Why marry a girl and carry all her lifelong problems when you can simply sleep with her, get satisfied and move onto the next girl with less need to cater for her problems.
I dated a girl, we got separated because she wanted a richer guy. Not long after she said no to me, her family relocated. After two years, they returned. You won't believe me if I told you that this girl has aborted 4 babies, given birth to twins and now she is correctly fighting high blood pressure due to several heartbreaks and bad treatment from guys and their families and the death of one of her twins.
She's literally broken in halves from inside. Now she wants to return to me.
I am responsible but not to the point of marrying such a girl.

That was back in the days of our forefathers. Men now have relegated the duty of providing for their families to their wives. So I don't know what they are afraid of.

If women will lower their expectation of who a husband is they would marry earlier.

The issue is that the hypergamous nature of a woman holds out for a better offer until it's too late. And they become undesirable.

Many of the Men women will like to marry dont want them , many of the men toasting women are deemed below thier standard.

90% of women are liability the 10% that are not liability want you to kiss there ass every second.

Marriage is a prison and death and divorce are the bail out.

Forget your mama and papa marriage. They preserve because of u the child/children

Nigerian women want to marry dangotes children or someone who don hammer. That’s y foreign women are snatching Nigerian guys because they understand you start small.

No Nigerian woman will agree to marry a man without a job/small business while foreign women will say keep looking you will find one soon or keep trying u will get there. I will take of both of us.

To buttress ur point, DJ cuppy with her rich background, still using her body to beg only rich and famous, first Victor Anichebe and now Anthony Joshua.

So many girls working in banks or big companies find it difficult to marry guys with lesser incomes, many of them only want abroad guys, when they pass their peak they will now be begging lesser guys, who would not look their side.

Una don come again to scare all our resident nairaland old cargoes like Zzor and co. with all these baseless fear about the scarcity of men.

The truth is that men are never scarce.

Just that the men who are ready to go all the way with these women when it comes to marriage are not that large in number to go around.

In other words, the number of men who are willing and ready to get married is not as much as the number of women who are willing and ready to get married.

This imbalance is what creates the false notion that men are scarce.

regardless of the outcome of previous marriages, people still tie the knot every weekend and will continue to do so even in twenty years time..
It has always been a way out of financial captivity for women and will always be,but like I said, people still get married regardless..
