Speak for yourself, I have spent time with the upper and middle class Nigerians in the UK who fled Nigeria in the 80s..

Their children have largely excelled and they all get along well..

Working class Nigerians have struggled more, institutional racism combined with starting from a lower base makes things harder...

Also Nigerians are capable of running successful institutions, I can think of two successful fund managers and another who owns a successful pharmaceutical company. Just because you don’t know them or haven’t seen them doesn’t mean they don’t exist...

The elitist attitude we're talking about.

What nonsense! I am a black man born in east london, i have been out with a lot of young white girls and even older ones, during my school days, I fuccked and dumped alot of white girls, I have picked up one night stands pretty young and old white women, so adon't know what you are on about.

Rubbish, Most black men in the UK don’t get with attractive white women. Most of them are low status women who aren’t that popular amongst their own people.

You maybe the exception but I have mostly seen black men with overweight and ugly women acting as if they have got the prize.. (UK and US)

Please don’t tell lies..

As for black women they have it even worse, white men generally are not interested in dating black women. Although to be fair black women’s preference is for black men.

The shame of black men especially West Indians and native African Americans is that their preference is foolishly for any other women other than black. Nigerian men in the west aren’t as bad but they are catching up with this nonsense.

This is the same for all ethnic groups..

Did the Agrian Sephardi Jews do as well as Ashkenazi Jews from Industrial Europe when they emigrated to Israel?

Did working class Hispanics do as well as well educated Cuban Hispanics who fled Fidel Castros Cuba to America?

Did Hmong Asian migrants fair as well as well educated Japanese immigrants when fleeing to America?

NO

Instead of trying to take offence, understand the point..

Nigerians and taking offence, especially when they aren’t well versed in economic history. Read some Thomas Sowell before responding

#1. The Silence is Deafening!
When I first arrived in the West, I was so taken aback by how quiet everywhere was. On the way out of the airport, I looked around in awe as the pristine clean roads were not littered with with hawkers, jampacked cars , numerous pedestrians and the blaring sounds of horns! - although, mega-cities like New York is an exception to the rule.

#2. Your Neighbours & The Police: You Can Co-exist with Neighbours for Years Without Ever Saying a Word to Each Other.
In the average neighbourhood, you can't make noise anyhow. Everyone minds their business. ... The most you will get out of your neighbors is an occasional nod and smile.
Although this doesn't deter them from watching your every move through their windows... they won't hesitate to call the cops/snitch on you at any slight opportunity. Make noise and fight with your spouse anyhow and you will find police knocking at your door.

#3 Raising kids in a Predominantly Black Neighbourhood Can Spell Doom.
Bullying is incessant in these communities. Gang culture, crime, violence  etc..

#4. Your Child(ren) can be Taken from You.
This almost happened to a close friend of mine whose nosy neighbour called  child services on her because she heard her baby crying for a lengthy period of time. And the police actually showed up to her house to carry out a thorough investigation on the living conditions of the baby.. Thank God nothing incriminating was found..
Moral of the story: be careful with how you care for/discipline your kids when living abroad.

#5. Nigerian Churches (most RCCG branches) are Epicenters for Drama & Toxicity.
Avoid! Just Avoid!

#6. Black (especially Nigerian women) are at the Bottom of the Food Chain; be it at the Workplace or on the Dating Scene.
Young black guys will rather date white or mixed race girls.. (may not be true for all) but my observation living in London.
...and at work, we have to work twice as hard to be respected and valued. The biggest oppressor of a black woman at work is a white woman (and in some cases, your fellow blacks).. but not a white man surprisingly.

#7. You will Happily Miss Home from Afar and be so Much More Invested in the Affairs of Nigeria than Those Living in Nigeria.

Need I say more? smiley

#8.You May Gain Weight.
Why??
Kebabs & Pizzas
Chicken and chips.
Cheap and irresistibly delicious chinese takeaways cheesy
Fish & chips
Burgers,
TGI Fridays & Nandos

Important Note: This is a light hearted post and just a snippet of my experience so far living abroad.. it isn't perfect here, but I'd choose this over and over again than my experiences living in Nigeria.

You started a speech with calling me foolish and you want me to pay attention to the rest. I called justwise's attention to that. Then, I checked a few of your previous messages because the ability to use a foul language on a stranger in a civil conversation says a lot about a person's personality, upbringing or culture, which, on one hand, could be a spontaneous reaction (which is forgivable), or a common trait in that person, which speaks to the person's personality. In your case, I didn't even go far before seeing similarly insulting words used against others. Two things I picked from that: 1. You're claiming there is no hostility among Nigerians using yourself as an example, whereas you're online calling people names. If that isn't an example of hostility, then, I don't know what is. 2. Your logic is that slowpoke wasn't addressed to me, so I should keep quiet, right? By that logic, was my original post which you replied to with an insulting opening line addressed to you?

The guy is a typical Nigerian, feels like a God because he allegedly runs a trading company. Lolz

Trust me, my iq points are high, confirmed by academic outcomes and tests.

You're the one with low comprehension skills, i didn't say educated people don't have better outcomes, i said different races have a better mindset of co operation and don't indulge in the petty mindsets that thrives in black communities like look at my car ..

True, elitism exists among Europeans especially the brits , but just make sure you can back it up with millions of pounds,as we all know there's little difference in the quality of life of someone earning 50k and others earning 30k , because the progressive tax equalises thing's.

So get the fck out of here with the bs.

So don’t tell lies. Especially when I was talking about the different socio economic outcomes of middle class and upper class Nigerians who migrated to the UK I’m the 80s.

If your point is different races have a better mindset of cooperation, again you don’t know what you are talking about.

Take Jewish people, I know them well as I do business with them often. Once you climb the socio economic you start to meet the other players and I will give it to this group they’re very shrewd.

But they are not as united as you think. Sephardic Jews who come from Arabian regions don’t always get along with Ashkenazi Jews who hail from Europe. They often go to separate Synagogues which they call Shuls, this occurs even in New York!!! How do I know this, my Jewish associated kindly told me.

Next Indians, as well know mercantilist group. Light skinned Indians from the North west of India from cities like Mumbai don’t like darker skined Tamils from the Southbwho are heavily involved in IT in cities like Chennai and Bangalore. They don’t even like to see another of their number succeed if they are no gaining. So much for unity... I know this because I started out a programmer in Java before building trading platforms..

Chinese are similarly divided Cantonese speakers from Hong Kong don’t like Mandarin speaking mainlanders..

so get your facts straights few groups are as united as you think..

I get tired of this silly mindset of always talking down Nigerians. You may have a lot of self hate but I don’t. Nigerians especially the Yoruba and Igbo have a lot to offer this world and I have seen it first hand..

Ok we are now on the same page and I agree, but comparatively the jews, Indians are more co operative than blacks/ Nigerians whichever way you look at it.

They have more racial self awareness despite those divisions.

Eg a dalit will rather co operate with a Brahmin abroad than to co operate with a Nigerian, unless there's an imbalance of power.

Imagine him telling me, a stranger he knows nothing about, that "I will deal with you." An example of bossy, condescending Nigerians who think they are above others. Who asked him what job he does before telling the whole world he runs a trading company in the UK? An example of Nigerians always willing to show off. And yet he claims that he and his fellow Nigerians aren't toxic, but he is on the internet being toxic against strangers, calling them offensive names. An example of Nigerians being hypocritical. Please, the major stupîd mentality I want you to stop is that BLACK BLACK BLACK RUBBISH!
COMMON! IT'S 21ST CENTURY!
AND WE CAN SEE BETTER NOW.

When will that demeaning and senseless slave tag and categorization stop?
Calling a brown person black and believing that a pale person is white?
All because of the brainwash that White is
Good
Divine
Holy
Strong
Clean etc
And that Black is the opposite of white.
You people should emancipate YOURSELVES from slave tags.

As a race yes, other black groups have no sense of national or ethnic loyalty. This why they often fail..

But if I am in the City of London or Wall Street, trust me our Nigerian people trust each other more than anyone else except for a few sellouts..

In fact I learnt the importance of ethnic loyalty in the west not Nigeria.

You are right that these groups will cooperate more with each other as a diaspora. Indians are shameless when it comes to promoting their own. Even when they are less skilled.. it is a sight to behold.. Rama clutching a basic comp sci degree from some unknown Indian uni being chosen over a white man who has a PhD from Harvard, Oxford MSc and MIT BSc LMAO.... cheesy

Me saying what I do isn’t elitism.. lol

It’s like seeing a guy driving a rolls Royce. some people will say he is showing off, I usually ask that person who says that perhaps it is your reaction seeing him or her in that car that you need to question.

Not once have I said I have loads of money.

I have merely said “don’t talk Nigerians down”. It is unhelpful.

Other groups aren’t as united as you think.

I have seen Nigerians work successfully in all spheres of life. nothing more..

It is you who has said I am elitist, without a clear explanation of why..

My point is, you would think white men would be the biggest perpetrators of racism and oppression in the workplace but in actual reality, white women are...
...and your fellow blacks will never have your back.

Why would a White man be racist towards a Black Woman? What has he got to gain?
White Men dont see Black Women as competition, as a matter of fact, most of them dream of having a taste of the big Butt of a Nigerian Woman. grin grin

The focus of White men is on Black men. They see them as competition in everything, including sex and they hate them with passion.
Some of these racist, White kcunts will even connive with Black Women/wife (if he is a Judge, a Policeman, Civil Servant, etc) to undo or harm (read: jail) the Blackman or Black husband.

But no one should blame white people, they seem smarter in playing the racist game because no matter what, they would las las, back their own person but the average Black person will gang-up with a White person, to do his fellow balck person, just so he or she is in good standing with the white adversary!

Now, as for white Women hating on Black women, it is mostly out of Jealousy. The just cant understand how a poor Black woman get all those curves and Butty, while they are flat, back and front. grin
But Black Women need to be less materialistic, less aggressive and think long term (Children, family, Social ladder climbing, success of family, etc) if they dont want to go extinct in that place they call abroad.
I need FeeSAH please. shocked grin grin
