You're right. Most of them know the truth but as the saying goes "tell them what they want to hear otherwise you'll lose your congregation"

Christmas has nothing to do with Christianity. Jesus nor his disciples nor first century Christian celebrated the birth. Birthday celebration has pagan origin, why will Jesus do that? And is there anywhere in the Bible where Christmas was mentioned?

If Christmas is truly loved by Jesus then why will horrible things be happening on that same day... Lots of accidents and there was a bomb blast in UK yesterday.

Don't you get it? December 25th is a day belonging to the sun god. Some useless people painted it and turned it to a Christian day.
