My advice from now on dont put all your money in one account.

Eg put ur main money in UBA bank. Don't request for an atm debit card. You can use their app without card.

Then use a gtbank. Request card and use app. Anytime u want to withdraw, transfer the amount to ur gtbank and use card to withdraw.

Do this from now on.

Only transfer to gtbank when you want to withdraw.

Tell ur sister to dial *737*51*10# to block her card and then dial *737*51*74# to restrict her account then she should visit www.gtbank.com and click on help center then click on complaints and enquiry to download card dispute form and submit completed form via the help center to enable the bank investigate the issue.
The transaction can only be disputed wen her card has been blocked.
Also ask ur sister if she took any loan.

Lawyers in the house can shed more light, the EFCC Act does not empower them to look into cases below 1million naira. That is the reason some can write a cheque of N1m thirty times a day and the EFCC goes to sleep.

Please tell your sister to go to her bank. She might recover her money particularly if the card was used for international transaction.
Similar thing happened to me and I got refund after like 45 working days.

You're very right! Moreover, since banks are not been held responsible they allow this thing to thrive. It's so annoying to see the helplessness of Nigerians in this regard. November 24, 2012, 10k left my wife's Firstbank account, we got tired of going to the bank to complain. This year the 80+ old father to a friend of mine had is account cleared of 1.5m. the old man had stroke as a result.

Since banks started using a multiplicity of settlement switches for mobile & online transactions there has been an upsurge in theft via mobile/online channels.

Paystack for one now stores card details (passwords, çvv info etc) without seeking cardholder's permission and without leaving an option to remove your details from their servers. I'm sure all these other payments processors e.g. Flutterwave etc are doing same. Now imagine your account just laying open out there on their server, waiting for that one crook employee to show up and clean you out (and believe me it's just a matter of when, not if)

All these online thefts are insider executed. And because of the wide open nature of our legal system, the banks and other settlement companies have done absolutely nothing about the thieves within their ranks.

its high time people know some important codes to block do many things regarding your account. I know Gtb have some codes :
1 block your account
2 block your ATM
3 and so many other things

Pls ask ur sister if she took any loan from branch international.
She shud block her card by dialling *736*51*10# and then visit www.gtbank.com to download the international card dispute form under the help center module to enable the bank investigate the issue.
Completed firm can be submitted via the help center under the complaints and enquiry module.
Pls note that investigation can only commence once card has been blocked.

Her fund was used to fund a branch wallet, this is the new scheme that fraudster are using to debit someone account and its untraceable. Branch loan app will not send u an OTP for payment through an account. it will just debit the account number immediately. Try and call Branch customer care for this and send them the SMS alert for the transaction to investigate

Let your sister tell you the truth if she needs help, her card cannot be compromised without her input. Ask questions, what has she done online recently with the card. I am not ruling out the possibility of atm cloning, but I have a feeling she gave some details out. Some backs ATMs dont need otp e.g Access,

So, it makes sense that a bank won't send OTP for a trigger on change of PIN? Because, I have a near home experience with this.

Sir, its to go to the bank o. Tell them the exact ATM she has been using to withdraw and show them these proofs that you have... Then go to police station for statement.

She should stop crying o.... I believe she will recover but everyone should trust POS more than ATM henceforth.

This debit narration is not ATM, but the an account debit using branch mobile app, I have a branch mobile app and I do fund my wallet on it through my account, it will not send you an OTP for confirmation, it will just debit you like that.

This is a fraud, its bet9ja or sporty bet fund, they will just send you an OTP without narration and later call you to forward the OTP to them, they will debit your account and use it to fund the bet9ja or sporty bet app and later cash out. when you get to bank, they will only see bet9ja as the narration with no senders bank or name. they will tell you that u have compromise your account details and this is untraceable.

There different kinds of pos in Nigeria aside the ones issued by banks... I think these ones have been programmed to copy atm card details which they later use

POS is the culprits here..... Becoming too rampant, every hook and crannies now have a POS point

Not sure the account here is compromised. From the screenshots OP shared, she must have received a loan from BRANCH INTERNATIONAL and they had a lien over her account. Why the money was withdrawn in tranches is what I don't understand.
