How long has she been using GTBank? Has she ever experienced any unusual transaction? If no, then she lose guarded her details without knowing. Bank staff don't really have access to people's money....you may think am lying but it's true. I have been there.

Tell her to print her account statement for the month of December and then go through all her transactions one after the other. The account statement will give her a comprehensive details of where the money was withdrawn. Where is you base?

Let your sister tell you the truth if she needs help, her card cannot be compromised without her input. Ask questions, what has she done online recently with the card. I am not ruling out the possibility of atm cloning, but I have a feeling she gave some details out. Some backs ATMs dont need otp e.g Access,

Hackers have access to every fresh accounts opened in any bank(I strongly believe this). Once an account is open, the fraudsters, having access to your details, and believing the customer could be a novice, would use your account and try to register your accounts on the victim's bank App. During the registeration, the bank would send the account holder an OTP to comfirm that the process is happening in his or her end. This is when the fraudster would call the customer(most times, they call before hand, to be sure) asking the victim to call back the four digits pin sent to him or her.
Just like you said, the OP's sister is surely hiding something. At this stage, what the victim does would be to look like saint and put the blame on the account officer or the bank.
I do not blame the bank nor the victims(most times). I blame the account officers for not advising their customers appropriately. Once you open an account with any bank, make sure that you collect your account officer's number. It helps a lot.

Experts, please I collected some cash from pos this morning, but the operator took long pressing some things on the machine while my ATM card was in the machine, please hope I'm safe from card cloning.

same thing happened to me, mine was just carried out using sterling bank platform one pay to the fraudsters account a Sterlingbank account too.

Gtbank is becoming a scam bank ooo. My account was debited 10k with my card with me. My card has always been where I kept it. Very sure that I didn't expose it and just got the card from the bank. Never use on any ATM and POS before. Just don't understand the bank anymore

She must have imputed her details online .. same thing happened to me when i used aella credit app to take a loan, i had to use my atm card to repay, after which they started deducting every single amount in my account...had to go and block the card, cos i was told that there was no way to get the funds back by my bank

EFCC needs to work fast and apprehend the people behind these nefarious acts. There's no banking transaction that's not traceable, I don't know why they keep letting these fraudsters get away with their evil deeds

The banks are always allowing these people roam freely instead of help get them unless the victim is rich or very influential

.... As soon as you mentioned GTB, what happened to me a few weeks ago came to mind... I couldn't use my first bank because I didn't have a working atm card so I decided to transfer 26k into my GTB so I can use it and just like a movie... I saw the money I transferred into the account disappear without any alert..... Funny enough, there was no details of the debit from my account in the account statement which I generated from the app.... In the book balance I saw my 26k but in the actual balance I saw only 1k...that is on the gtb app...


I requested for the account to be blocked and all pending transactions cancelled as I didn't authorise any debit from my account. I went to the bank to lay complaints and they said I should fill a form and that it will take 90 days to conclude the investigation...... I told them that I am seeing the money in the book balance on the app... They said they can't stop it from leaving the account and that its only a matter of days before the money disappears.....i said they should at least tell me where the money went.... They said that is what they want to investigate for 90 days..... Lo and behold... 24hrs later I saw the actual alerts of my own money leaving my account without a trace....... Till today gtb have not told me what happened to my money...... I even contacted flutterwave because from the description, that was what was used to take the money but they said gtb has to be the one to contact them and not me.....i just came to the conclusion that gtb and most Nigerian banks are in partnership with scammers to defraud people...... I have attached a proof of the debit alerts I got and gtb response to my query...... Please if you find a solution to get your money back, I will love to follow same process because that money pain me and it has caused me alot because what I wanted to use it for is still not settled as we speak.

Nigerian banks are just thieves. God help us all. That was how I transferred money to my zenith and 5k was removed, turns out the account was on -5k.

My uba went loose lastyr n I lost close to 100k, after going back n forth, we identified the Uba and diamond account of the thieves, the bank was overprotective of the thief. We somehow got the account frozen. It was only 2months ago they helped return 16k. I couldn't reject it.

Without proper information you already claimed it is an insider's job....smh. I stated it earlier that these fraud can be easily carried out because most Nigerians lack basic knowledge of how to use and protect their cards.
