@ op, your submission is baseless, hatred has little or nothing to do with how rich or poor one's background is. On the contrary, people tend to applaud a successful individual from a rich home more than those from a poor home due to sycophantic nature of human.

Issue of Cr7 and Messi as example, no matter what either of these players does, their haters will still find one baseless excuse to attack them, is any of them from a rich home? It's natural, it's just bad when it's in excess.

In relation to Davido-Burna boy issue, I think the mistake Davido made was responding to Burna boy, from the beginning, the rivalry was between Davido and Wizkid, I don't know how all of a sudden it turned to that of him and Burna. Davido should just ignore him and move on with his life. Arrogance is seriously taking over Burna and I wish it doesn't consume his career and success.

Depends on how their parents became rich, was it at the expense of others or sold business.

Also how responsible the kids themselves act.

Hate somehow is a mental degradation

The thing is most rich people in Nigeria are parasites. Their wealth can be directly linked to patronage and cronyism.

I don't think most people would have a problem with people who created wealth through their entrepreneurial adventures and not the misfortune of the masses.

C’mon get da fck out of my mentions. Because I have been ignoring you and your rants, you think you can make it your life ambition to keep hopping on my posts with your terrible English and not-well-thought-out-rebuttals. I will munch up anything I want. Yes, Nigerians are terrible people. This includes you and that is why you are triggered because the table you are sitting on was shaken.

If you have any iota of understanding, you’ll see Timaya and Wizkid perfectly fit into the grass-grace story which Nigerians like. So they’re less targeted. It is right there in my post, but no, you don’t ever read. Once you see Poco’s post, you jump out to attack something you have no full understanding of.

I have said it before and I will say it again- whoever is fcking you better use protection. Your low IQ can easily pass for an STD and I fear for whoever contracts it.

Your last paragraph, especially your last sentence in the second line carry bomb

If we all want to be truthful the so called rich kids with wealthy parents know their parents have a hand in Nigeria’s poor state one way or another, nothing happens by mistake if they hate them it’s cause nature is passing the resentment that should have gone to their parents to them.

Another Thing No Rich person in this country of ours got rich without some form of Compromise prove me wrong I’ll wait.

The hate and jealousy is simply because of the high poverty rate in the country grin coupled with the fact that most of these rich kids parent are part of the people that destroyed the country.

They are part of the people that contributed to the rot in the system

I have a concern with the number of likes this article has had.

Does it mean we're dealing with an unspoken yet firm belief?

I've come to understand that it's almost normal for the hoi polloi to hate privileged people. I don't really understand the psychology behind that but I know it's unhealthy and silly. Instead of misdirecting such misguided hate on people whose fathers made money why not hate your father who couldn't make it.

Take for instance, a few years ago Paddy Adenuga had published an inspiring article where he shared his struggles in business and how he succeeded, but in a bizarre twist of narrative the haters attacked him and alluded to the fact that his father's money did this and did that.

Shortly after, Dj Cuppy was also bullied online by people who believes she has no business being a dj, let alone a popular one at that. To them it's her affluent background that's doing the trick not her talent.

The same with Davido. No matter what he does, how many awards he wins, or cool tunes he drops, he'll never be good enough for these people who believe he didn't earn his place at the table.

Instead, they revere and respect those they think are from the streets even when these people are nothing short of mediocre. A case in point is the current frosty relationship between Davido and Burna boy, how did it all start? Both of them were chummy until Burna boy made a disparaging remark about Davido's father buying fame for him. This was not only in bad taste but smacks of obvious jealousy. That you struggled to climb up the ladder due to lack does not make you better, or mean that those who have the resources to advance their dreams or careers must suffer like you before their talents can be validated.

And if the eyewitness account in the media is anything to go by, then it’s obvious that this unfortunate incident was all Burna boys doing. He showed up at the club with 6 hired goons and went straight to the VIP section where Davido was sitting to confront him. Although this is yet to be verified but judging from Burna boy’s propensity for violence it is highly probable that is what happened.

It’s time people do away with this wrong notion that privileged kids don’t deserve what they have. No matter how hard they work there’s always someone who thinks that without their money they’d probably not make it that far, but nothing could be farther from the truth. These kids work just as hard as the poor kids, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using what you have to advance yourself. I mean you can’t hate on these kids just for being rich as if they’re the ones that stopped your father from making money. It’s wrong and it’s in bad taste.

Instead of hating divert that energy into making money so your kids won’t be just like you. Shout out to David. Keep keeping it a 100.

You are creating a problem that doesn't exist.

They dont hate the ones who do giveaways.

You can't blame the poor ones...how can rich kids be over flaunting all the good things of life, lavishing money around a poor one that can't even afford a good meal. Mentally human to feel jealous and most resolve to hate.

I don't see anything unusual if you admit that having rich parents can give you a good head start. It is the primary benefit of being an outlier or offspring of one. You are denying it in a condescending manner and that is arrogance. One can be rich and successful and not be arrogant. If you are rich and arrogant then people will resent you and exaggerate the headstart your parents success gave you in order to mock you.

I believe that is what happened in the case of these two young men. One believes the other is arrogant because of his privileged background and reading your opinion just confirmed it.

We all have areas we have a headstart so hating one with material headstart is hypocrisy and envy.

WHY THE RICH IS HATED BY THE POOR IS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS.

The rich kid traumatised the poor man kids with his wealth whether legit and illegal and make the poor to feel that the poor man was a failure in life.

The rich never create a growth system that will carry the poor up the ladder they always want to maintain that superiority level and that becomes a problem.
