The law is that you should be paid at least 1 month's salary in lieu if you are laid off. They only called it a temporary layoff to escape paying it but God is bigger than them. It's your choice to pay them back but if you do, pay them at your own convenience. DO NOT borrow to pay them. |

Find some time to go in to your former place of employment and explain the situation to them; if necessary with your bank statement. Tell them that you have not gotten another job and you cannot source the amount for now but promise to do so. Ignore those telling you to steal the money. Dishonesty is only a very short term palliative. In the long run, it could ruin you; I've seen that happen many times to friends and colleagues. Try to pay up as soon as you can without waiting for reminder and pleas to do the right thing. Good luck. |

@op go and work at the company for a month again and don't expect salary because they have already paid you in advance then the guy can have his money after a month or they should paid the guy another salary since you will work a month to pay the money mistakenly sent to your account |

Should i say, this is blessing in disguise? Maybe, you just have to work there for one month without pay, since you don't have the financial means to pay back. |

Lies, why give access bank to your company to deposit money there knowing fully well that the account is negative balance? |

Brosst:Raise what money for them? It's their mistake let them deal with it. Don't squeeze money you don't have for their own matter. Bro, look at issues from spiritual perspective and do more hard thinking.. Your situation needs to improve! Stay blessed! |

Tell them to re-employ you for two months so that you can work and repay and still have some money for yourself to sustain you and your family until you secure another job Better still partake in davido's #2m giveaway.Davido is a kindhearted boy. |

Brosst, This #40k is a debt and in my experience, police don't punish anyone for not repaying debt as long as you can prove that you're really broke. In fact, the matter will be a lot easier for you if they should inform the police. Police will only ask you how much you want to be paying per month/week/day. Even if it's #500 you can afford per month, they must accept it. Before two years you would have paid off. But, as someone said, don't say anything like "I'll pay everything before so-so date" it's suicidal. Police might try to intimidate you, try to get a lawyer if you can. |

Brosst:Get a statement of account which will show how the money wasn't used by you and it's unavailable at the moment due to the negative credit you had. Go to the accountant with the bank statement and keep a photocopy to explain things and ask for a payback plan since you don't have the cash. |

Sofistcatdmoron:He never knew he would be sacked and he might have defaulted on his loan repayments by playing a fast one on access bank(Transferring his salary to another bank b4 access deducts it). That’s why the whole money was removed....the guy don over default....lol... |
| Re: A Month After I Was Sacked, I Was Mistakenly Credited With ₦40,000 by nedekid: 10:24pm On Dec 30, 2020 |
Brosst:Was it the whole money acess bank took as loan repayment? If not why don't you show good faith by forwarding the balance and come out clean by showing the manager your statement showing acess bank actually made a loan repayment debit. |

Brosst:Tell him to go fūck himself. You don't have the money at present moreover they treated you in a shabby manner, making you lose a steady job/income when they probably knew they only needed temporary staff to cover a single month. Tell him you will do a payment plan once you get another job, it's not a crime to owe people money, it's only a crime if you obtain the funds under false pretences. |
