You even get these people time. Talking about efficiency. Who cares about efficiency. If you stop me from making a shot the first time then I'll try again. I'll keep trying until I score enough points. I don't care how many shots I take to get it. If I average 35 on your head, whether I took 100 shots or not, then you didn't do your job well.

What they fail to tell us is that LeBron was the only threat and scorer on that team, and they could double team him as much as they wanted. Talmbout he took 30 shots.
This is funny coming from lebron fan lol.

You sef see am? He doesn’t look like he has lost any beat/ step! It’s his defense that now amazes me especially with the injury.. He is guarding interior post positions and perimeter players, shuffling his feet.

You also know he now projects the bad narrative about black QB’s not having the discipline and intelligence to play the cerebral position despite the exploits of R. Wilson, P. Mahomes, D. Watson, L. Jackson, K. Murray, T. Bridgewater.

With all due respect this is absurd. How does He project that image about Black QBs when as you rightly stated We have an abundance of Black QBs thriving in both the league and college? Did the attitude of the likes of Johnny football and Ryan Leaf portray a negative stereotypes of White QBs? I'm sorry but anyone that decides to tow that line needs to be called out.

Who do you think is Clemson's greatest ever QB? Watson or Trevor Lawrence? I'm still on the Deshaun gravy train tbh.

Happy birthday to the greatest and best player the NBA has ever produced. The King, The G.O.A.T, The Phenomenon, The Moving Train, The Magnificent, The Maestro, The General. More glory to you man.

D. Watson for me and he has transitioned that talent to the NFL. As for the narrative, I agree it is absurd but sadly, that has remained the rhetoric about black QB’s and it’s our reality and Haskins has not made it any better, not like we need the confirmation but it does not help the story of other greats.

Watson needs to leave Houston to be frank. People are actually starting to forget how good that dude is because of How shyte His team is.

Nah it was the Rhetoric In past but that shouldn't be the case in this current climate. I mean you yourself just reeled off names of Top tier Black QBs currently dominating the league so why should we accept it as our reality? You would have had a point had it been a few years ago when We had no quality Af Am QBs but abeg not currently.

You have to remember the sports and mainstream media is not controlled by the minority or blacks and while it has been successful for the black QB’s it does not necessarily mean the narratives will be controlled by minorities. The narratives has remained constant and many articles continue to push it.
Any of those elite black QB’s that lose their way will struggle to get back.. The chances are very very slim. The good thing is these Black starting QB’s are redefining the style of play in for that position in modern NFL. It is no longer ok to just sit in the pocket and throw slings, you have to be able to use your legs... Ask Brady, at 43 he is now scrambling with his legs even though he can’t outrun a snail..
But there is a fight back with how much Lawrence is heralded..

Hahahaaha Leave Brady alone abeg LMAO!. Even Trevor is scrambling and scoring running touchdowns. Dude is deceptively quick. He obviously does not have Watson type speed but once He gets going, it's a wrap.

I agree it's a narrative these dudes are constantly fighting against but what I am saying is that we don't have to put up with it any longer. I mean the proof is in the pudding. We are not talking about average QBs here Bro. The aforementioned dudes are literally Franchise cornerstones. As long as these dudes keep performing on the field, they can keep writing as many an article as they like.

Speaking of constantly fighting battles, It wasn't that long ago I was hearing whispers pertaining to Mike Tomlin's job and I could not believe my ears. The steelers literally have zero running game and Ben can't throw more than 10 yards without looking like a quadriplegic but somehow Mike is/was the problem smh.

Moving on to other players changing the Narrative, Christian McAffarey is a dude I am rooting for and happy to see prospering. He is changing the narrative that RB have to be Black. Dude is probably the best all around Back in the league and I'm here for it. I love that this new generation of players are sticking it up the Media's behinds. The refuse to be put in a box. All I need now is for a White Julio Jones to emerge.

Skip bAyless, is that you? tongue

What you also failed to tell the audience is that he averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists across six Finals games.

You also failed to mention that Bron is the first player in NBA Finals history to lead both teams in points, assists and rebounds for the entire series.

I don't put much stock on rebounds. They are the easiest stats to pad and they had Mozgov and Tristan Thompson who could handle those responsibilities anyway.

He did well in the assists department but his scoring was really bad. He shot below 40% FFS

Haskins problem has been known from college, everyone knew that. He partied/ clubbed too much and many were unsure if he prioritized football. Well he took the same behavior to the NFL with no mentors around him to guide him. Read his statement/ apology and you will see the indifference.

He is a very bad example of a One and done QB from college because he obviously lacked the discipline and was not prepared mentally to play in the big stage. I blame the WFT in some aspects. You don’t see all of that and still give the keys and face of the franchise to him with absolutely no plans to mentor or place him in a strict regime. You also know he now projects the bad narrative about black QB’s not having the discipline and intelligence to play the cerebral position despite the exploits of R. Wilson, P. Mahomes, D. Watson, L. Jackson, K. Murray, T. Bridgewater.

Take a look at what B. Flores is doing at Miami with Tua.. Brian understands Tua is young and not ready to totally take charge, so he uses Fitzpatrick to mentor and guide him especially in tough situations when they need wins. He has withdrawn Tua twice in losing situations, introduced Fitz and won the game. Tua understands he is not invincible because he is a first round pick.

Haskins had a tremendous year at Ohio State but like many, I wasn’t too sure he was an exceptional talent like T. Lawrence or my Boy J. Allen with the Bills. The league is a tough one and it punishes even exceptionally talented players worth more players whose talent remain questioned ask AB, Dez Bryant etc.

Would he get a 2nd chance? I highly doubt that but I hope he is not judged primarily by this incident because many have done worse but he needs to critically reevaluate himself and decide if he really wants to play football. I will suggest Haskin and his team reach out to T. Dungy. He has been instrumental in helping a lot of young sports players who lost their way to find themselves. He is an exceptional disciplinarian and mentor to many athletes.
Nobody is perfect but I don't know who are this kid's advisers.

He seems to never have had the spirit of entitlement flogged out of him and in hindsight that one good year at Ohio State was the worst thing that could have happened to him. You saw how he smirked when Daniel Jones was selected ahead of him. Then you come out and say "the league don messed up" without taking a single snap just tells me he didn't know what he was getting into

I would hope this doesn't reinforce anything about black QBs who have clearly proven they can play. Every man for himself and it's very important that nobody uses this as an excuse to clutch on to outdated stereotypes

What Flores is doing with Tua is brilliant but incredibly fortunate, I credit Fitzpatrick for making this work. I don't know a Quarterback past or present that would accept such.

I would hope Haskins gets a second chance but he has so much unlearning to do. Celebrating throwing for 300 yards but your team lost by 2 touchdowns. However the biggest concern I saw in his last game and I'm just not sure he's an NFL caliber QB.

Maybe he should have stayed one more year in college or something but this boy cannot read defenses, coverages, nothing. There was a 4th and 2 on his last drive. This man had 3 receivers open and he literally could not see them and wound up taking a sack. I couldn't believe my eyes

I don't know if it's just a coincidence that most teams who made it deep into the playoffs (or at least made the playoffs at all) last year have had some form of struggle in these opening few games: Bucks, Mavs, Nuggets, Lakers, Rockets, Raptors. And the teams who had the most time off, who are mostly underdogs, are the ones doing well: Cavs, Hawks, Magic, Pacers, Sixers, Suns, Kings, Clippers...largely unfamiliar teams leading the pack. And I see this continuing well into February at least, when the fatigue level kind of levels out across the league. And in a 72-game regular season, every win will count.

I was just thinking this. The superstars that were in the playoffs have weird stats this year. Not bad, but not great either. Maybe best to coast and just make the playoffs, better than season ending injury

John Wall looked very good in his return. If he stays healthy I don't see how he and Christian Wood don't help Harden to make some noise with Houston. I'm actually intrigued with this team and want to see Silas given a shot. Harden should see this season out at the very least and take it from there.

Donovan Mitchell though. That guy doesn't seem to know when to stop shooting

9th in Defence. I expect that to get better once LeBron and AD are 100% locked in. And Caruso, who's one of the better defenders on the team, has barely played.

And that 3 point shooting; it was our achilles heel last year. If we can stay close to this efficiency then this team would be unbeatable.
