I don't use Google, so i don't know what are you writing about.

I got a visa and never gave anyone any dna test. So which foreign visa are you talking about?
You do know that you might require DNA tests,to prove that your so called children are yours before they can be issued visa right?
Stop trying to sound smart, obviously you are far from it..

Even if DNA samples are being covertly collected, that of a whole race is not needed. Selected cross sections of it would do. Some folks trying to sound cerebral should understand what conspiracy theories are.

What does having liver have to do with doing a DNA test?
Has it suddenly become an HIV or Cancer diagnosis?

To all Nigerians and Nairaland, this is my prophesy for 2021.

I did not smoke, drink, I was perfectly ok before going to bed .

I dreamt, in my dream I saw a cloud
From the cloud cometh a great white light no man has seen before and from it a voice sayeth to me, I will not forsake them in 2021.
Listen these words are faithful, true and must come to be.
He said a tribe will do what no tribe has ever done before, and what they did Will shake the earth and give them there freedom, and rest people of Nigeria will be free from this hateful tribe, and all of there problem will be no more
Banditry
Insecurities
Killing s
Corruption
Looting of funds
Cultism
Trafficking

Nigeria will be a Utopia, flowing with milk but not with honey and this new land of this tribe will flow with milk and honey

I saw again another mountain of coins fell and sone rich laughed, but out of mole hile of coins come a great mountain, and many became rich from it and 20 people will be millionaire from just 100 naira

Again he showeth me a boy in the height of a man face of lion, yansh of a woman, skin of a snake and I cried Lord why so many mixture,
He said on the 12 of the 12th month , a new religion will come called CHRISLAM.

And I said Lord, the future is sweet, and ask is this the kingdom ur son said we should pray for,
No my son is just a taste of Love.

Nonsense comment.

You want people to do dna test without thinking about data protection.

Nigerian dna market is unregulated.when you give your dna to companies, they have control over you.

And how exactly can someone's DNA be used in controlling that person?

You must be fooling yourself if you think US will spend more than 3 seconds to get your data anytime they want.

We voluntarily give our data to US when we apply for visa. Millions of nigerians are already in their database, with our biometric data archived. The medical result included. What else do they need that they dont already have?

Your point isn't logical. If at all any group have interest in getting bulk of Nigerians DNA data, the easiest way would be to subsidize cost of running DNA test in nigeria. That's even more encouraging than your perceived social media campaign.

What a load of crap. So if the company sells your DNA sequence to companies or databases, how does that give them control over you? Mr conspiracy theorist, if they want your DNA, they can get it anytime they like. Anytime you go to a hospital for a malaria test, anytime you go to a barbers shop for a haircut, anytime you touch an object, they can swab and have access to your DNA. We shed skin tissue and bodily fluids everywhere we walk. Heck, they might even be using your covid 19 swab tests for DNA testing. If they wanted it that badly, they could always enforce covid 19 tests in schools and public offices around the country. Shikena. They would never use such an ineffective method as waiting for those who want to test for paternity fraud. How many people do DNA tests for paternity a year? How many centuries will that take the companies to sequence everybody in that case?

It is pathetic that you ain't telling people to worry about all forms of registration that involves their fingerprints or Iris print

It is now DNA data that needs protection.

The wicked runs when no one pursues.

You need not worry if truly you are innocent.

You are the one that need the deep breathe.

Apparently, most of you are stuck here, what do you know about market regulations, what do you know about data protection even when most of you use your smart phones daily.

In the United states for instance, your dna sample is open to the government to access. And many dna companies sell dna info to government and third parties

Most of you are just emotional without thinking.

The world is one big market with American companies trying to get a pie on gullibles Nigerians who are ready to sell their soul.
Shut the f*ck up nigga. you’re trying to sound smart. But your dumbness screams

There are so many paranoid people in this country.

Everyday, medical tests are conducted in this country with reagents, test kits and laboratories that are of American origin or affiliated to them but some people still feel, if Americans want DNA of Nigerians ,they will be sponsoring discussion on paternity frauds.

FYI, the USA can get DNA samples of Millions of Nigerians within days by announcing a Free Visa lottery for Nigerians but these applicants must undergo Medical tests to show they are free of certain diseases. As many as possible Nigerians will apply.

A reasonable sample of a cross section of Nigerians with their DNA is all that is needed for any medical research.

Hmm end of discussion. You have just hit the nail on the head. Even me that have been praying to go there, I will just gladly submit it to them without any hassle. Honestly your head dey there grin

Even though it is true that there are paternity frauds in our society, the reality is it is not so much like how social media are publicizing it.

Nigerian dna market is unregulated, dna is your human footprint, your personal data. Dna is not only about testing paternity but it can be use for many things.

I believe there is a plot on Nigerians by some Dna tech companies in Nigeria to raise the discussion about DNA Test in our society because they want to create a DNA bank For Nigerians.

For instance, there is a company called 54gene in lagos that is building an African DNA bank, the company raised almost 15 million dollars from Bill and merinda gates foundation. The company claim that the Greater availability of African genomic data could lead to medical breakthroughs for the African’s 1.2 billion people.

As far back as 2019, the company has almost 60,000 dna samples of Nigerians in their Bank, in addition, the company is based in Washington DC and Nigeria.

How many of you are concerned about your privacy, don't let social media discussions fool you, some of these dna companies might be the ones sponsoring the discussion so that people can go for Dna test, soon they will gather your data and also sell it to the highest bidder in the United states or to law enforcement agencies.

People should know what they spread online, you might be claiming woke, understand that your privacy matters and that anybody who has control over your dna data has control over you.
.. No research to even back up your claim.
