You people were told not to go to anywhere to do any cross over ceremony you didn't listen, now see what happened. A lady cried out on twitter that her brother was robbed and killed while coming from crossover service. You know the level of insecurity in the country and you still want to be moving around at odd hours of the day. I don't know why most Nigerians are like this

Yes, you can say this because you are a Muslim. Bigotry undecided.

Thought you said you were stabbed on the thigh? You went to the church dripping with/soaked in blood? Something is not adding up.

Same happened to me at onitsha on the 22nd of december, 2020.. Boarded the Sienna of a drug junky from a park in Port who delayed the journey so much and almost put us on a head-on collision with another incoming vehicle, so had to alter transit and stop at owerri instead of heading straight to Asaba which was my intended final destination.

Got to onitsha late (7:30pm) but with normal vehicular movement on the road and while walking to the park where i'l board the final bus to Asaba, i got ambushed by about 6 boys punching and dragging me from all sides.. I held firm to my laptop bag which also contained my 5TB external hard drive with all my life's digital data & work - something i hardly carry around even when traveling in case of situations like this cos i fit die if i loss am. Fortunately/unfortunately, i didnt let go of the bag despite all their stunning assault on me but they succeeded in slipping their hands into my pocket while everything was going on and took my smartphone. As soon as i realised they had taken my phone, the fight impulse / adrenaline kicked in and i started charging at them while they fled in different directions into dark corners of the street by the road side as i chased them aimlessly half-dazed, screaming and begging them to give me my phone. Finally, after a short fruitless pursuit, my instincts and senses advised me to stop the chase before i get cornered in the dark streets with the possibility of getting stabbed, loosing my life and eventually loosing my remaining belongings..

The funny thing was that it was a major road in Onitsha (not sure of the name but its just before the major express road to owerri) i was walking on where there was even a traffic which was why i had to try walk to the park which was close by as no keke was willing to carry anyone. Motorists where just looking on while the whole thing unfolded very fast with no one able to act. And not so far away was an army checked point busying themselves with extorting motorists..

The thing really pained me no be small that i couldn't sleep that night but i had to just accept the reality, cut my looses, thanked the Most High for the gift of life and was even glad/comforted by the fact that they didnt succeed in snatching my laptop bag which contained my precious data drive becos i would have been totally devastated and depressed. I also learned a big lesson of trusting my instincts against all odds that day becos at some point during my initial journey from Port, i had the opportunity of opting to head back home at the expense of forfeiting the transport fare after we all realized the driver wasnt in the right frame of mind not so far from Port when we had to force him to stop at a navy checkpoint by the airport in Port.

The last time i encountered armed robbers i greeted them first with Chairmen i dey hail oo. And then i went ahead to give them all the money i had on me. After emptying my pockets, i doused the tension in the air by jokingly asking them to find me 50 naira wey i go use transport myself go work the next day grin... No be me go go dey drag with thief.. No amount of money is worth a drop of my blood.

Na person wey him body complete dey enjoy life.

Lastly, kindly learn from my story and avoid that Wuye bridge at all cost.
Reminds me of my experience at Uniport 2005 at pritaso villa. Since cultism was the order of the day, someone took advantage to obtain my friends and I. 5pm, the guy and his friend closed on us and asked for our phones, before we could even reply...slaps, people were watching(fear of him being a cultist) without doing anything. He ran to back of chemical. I chased with bike the bike man stopped and said Oga,it is deadly here oh. Go back,we saw him at ofrima and reported to chima the man o war lead then, this guy already sold my phone for beer of 1k. Phone was recovered after he was beaten badly, legs almost broken. Anyone that knows Tunde (block C) Mandela will know how ruthless he was,he almost broke that guy's leg with iron. Night trips or journeys are a no no. Another experience was at warri after agofure fuel station, our bus was taken over by armed member not so far from the army checkpoint (Agofure bus) it was mad, 3hours inside bus carrying us from one place to another. God saved us that day, nobody was injured but a lady was unfortunate (she was raped) this is about 8pm it happened.

Bros na wa.

The way you dey tell your Tori sef, clearly your mouth abi hand dey run faster than your brain.

Just look at how you completely muddled this your story wey for make plenty sense like say you cool down come yarn the story wella.

Nothing wrong attending crossover night service as a Christian but next time try to be very careful. For me, my crossover night i usually attend it in the parish of my church closest to me for safety to and fro

After several resistance from my end, I got stabbed on my thigh by one of the guys

Anyways, after the sad occurrence of losing everything I had and almost my life

Sorry about your stolen property and the stab wound and thank God the knife missed your Femoral artery in your thigh as it is the largest in the lower limb and a stab or cut to it has proven fatal in the past - just remember the late schoolboy Damilola Taylor who was stabbed in the leg by his school mates jealous of his brilliance in London and the poor boy ended up dying as he was running to safety - which made him lose more blood.

Thank God your injury wasn't deeper and although in the spur of the moment, any man will defend his property, ones life is better preserved as you can always get better property and it takes a drug crazed person to gang up armed with long knives robbing people.

Handing over ones property without a fight is easier said than done but you never know how crazy and drugged an armed robber really is and some of them have killed before and will easily do so again.

Thank God you are safe. God will replenish your loss both financially and physically.

Thank God that you and safe and sound.
Never you struggle or chase after thieves or pickpockets, because, they may have backups in the surrounding, where you are being mugged.
Release whatever they they ask for and run for dear life.
You should be street wise, avoid travelling late in night or too early in the morning.
Safety should be the watch word, in the terrible time.
Stay safe guys and remember that Covid-19, is really.
