Even so, sir. What can you say if a Hollywood star came asking you about my story?
it's beautiful and not your usual story. It creates these pictures of a Hollywood teen movie. And your are doing a good at it.

MCL- A LOVE GONE WRONG 46

Even the lights knew I had wronged my daughter. We didn’t know what had gone on. But what we saw sent cold chills up our spine.

“Tricia!” We hurried to where she laid, our yells one could hear if he or she was standing right outside.

There was no blood anywhere, meaning she had dropped the scissors the minute the lights went out.

A relief, I breathed and pulled her up, caressing her face in the process. I was happy she was okay, and was relieved that her eyes were still open.

We were confused on how all the lights in the house had gone out by themselves. And was at the same time thankful that it had actually caused a distraction, making her not do what she had in mind.

I carried her in my arms, not minding if she was heavy. I placed her carefully on the bed, kissed her lightly on her cheek and sat down beside her. She’s not saying anything “Why isn’t she saying anything?” I panicked. Will she be okay, Nanny?” I looked up at Nanny, not so sure if I needed an answer.

I looked down at Tricia again, pleading for her to talk. Her lips remained closed, like she had not heard me, Nanny Pearl asking me not to worry, as she assured me that she was going to be just fine. If not she was breathing, and her eyes were wide open, I would have sworn she was no more. But God forbid that ever happened.

Tricia wasn’t the only one having a hard time believing the truth. Derek’s was far much worse as he broke every object he could lay his hands on. He had always trusted his dad and had always looked up to him. He couldn’t believe his own father could lie to him, not caring if he ended up hurt. “He should have told me the truth all along,” he thought aloud. “And not make me look like a fool!” he thundered in his room.

He had slept with his blood, he couldn’t believe. He was in love with his own sister, he sulked at the awful thought. How was he going to tell anyone who came asking? his emotions couldn’t let him be.

Aunt Marcie and Uncle Martins were soon going to be back. He had to put everything back to the way it was, he realized, giving a scan of his room, which was a total mess. The posters that were once on the wall, were now scattered all over the place, with every one of them torn to shreds. Derek’s rage was one you wouldn’t want to witness, and no one other than his mum could calm him down—if only she was there, the poor bloke thought soberly.

He was forced to get up to his feet, and was left with no option but to pick up a broom and tidy up the place. The thought of Tricia crowded his mind once again. Muttering her name, as though she was there, he wondered how she was and hoped she was taking things a lot more easier than he was.

Although he had tried getting her off his mind, it wasn’t that easy doing so, as his feelings were still there. How could he possibly let go of the one person he had always longed to have? He couldn’t bring himself to do so. He also didn’t know how to face her now, and wished he could just end everything so he wouldn’t have to bear all that he felt inside. He had to move on, that he knew. And had to stay strong, though the scar remained…

~•~•~•~•~

Meanwhile, back at school Philip and Daphne were at it again. They were arguing about something they couldn’t come to terms with—
“How do you expect I go with you?” Philip asked, “You're not serious about this, are you?”

Daphne waved the tickets at him. “You bet I am,” she grinned up at him.

“My God!” gasped a surprised Philip. “You are serious!” he couldn’t believe his eyes.

“That’s right. We’re going to Switzerland, baby!” she clasped his arms and began swinging them.

“No. No, there’s no way I’m going to Switzerland with you.” Philip snatched his hand away. “I mean, what were you thinking?” he asked. “I’ve got school. Grams' here. And—” he couldn’t say. Not with Daphne locking her lips with his.

“Mm… mm—” he struggled to break free. “Daphne!” he pulled away breathlessly. “What has gotten into you?”

Daphne smiled wickedly. “Wouldn't you love to go with me, baby? We can start a family over there, you know?” she inched closer to him as he moved backwards.

“A family?” Philip grew irritated at the sound.

“Mm-hmm,” she replied with a nod. “You got any problem with that?”

“Can you just hear yourself?”

She frowned at his question. “What? I'm not doing anything wrong, am I?” she twisted her lips.

And Philip shook his head. “You're impossible!” the angry lad said and walked out on her.

~

“Mm. You think you’re smart, Philip—but I’ll show you that I'm not the girl you think I am!”

TRICIA'S ☆ P.O.V

Derek was clearly avoiding me, just at the time I needed him most. I didn’t care if we were siblings. I only wished to feel his arms around me again.

I’ve been staring at my phone for quite sometime now, hoping that he’d call. I wiped my tears off and looked down at it again—a number I couldn’t recognize coming in at that moment. “Who can it be?” I couldn’t resist moving my thumb on the screen, so I could know who it was.

“Trish?”

I froze on hearing it. I tried not to sniff and held back my tears, not so sure if his voice was what I wanted to hear.

“Trish, if you can hear me, look out your window,” he instructed.

And I followed—

I brought the phone down shakily as colourful balloons came into sight, each having an inscription that I could clearly make out. “I’M SORRY,”

I shrugged.

“I LOVE YOU,”

I frowned. Love isn’t just anything you say, I found it so hard to smile, a cuckoo sound making me turn.

"What are you doing here?" I asked through clenched teeth the moment he came inside.

"Trish, let me explain..."

"Oh, I am sick of hearing that word!"

He sighed, placing his hand on mine. I couldn't remember the last time I felt it. But I could say I missed having it there. What am I saying? "Phil, why the hell are you here?"

"Your mum called saying that you needed me,"

"My mum called? Seriously?!" I grew furious even more. Can't someone be left alone in this house? Why did mum have to involve Philip?

"I know I've wronged you..."

"Don't!" I stopped him from saying. "Don't even use that word. Na-ah!" I was really tired of it to be sincere. And I couldn't wait to be out of his sight, not after all he's done.

"Tricia, I'm sorry," he apologized. "I'm really sorry I hurt you with my actions. I should have been there for you. Okay? I shouldn't have pushed you away—"

I threw my head to the side, trying not to let go of my tears. Philip shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be doing this at all. "Philip, just go. Just leave..."

"Tricia..."

"I said go! I don't want to see you," tears streamed down my cheeks as I couldn't hold it anymore.

He was hurt by my words, but I couldn't care any less about how he felt. He hurt me. He should have thought about me before going back to his ex. I'll never be able to forgive you, Philip. You brought this on yourself.

Tricia would never be able to forgive me. I couldn't stop myself for feeling sorry for everything. I should have been there for her. I never should have let Daphne get into my head. I knew I was the cause of her pain—and if anything wasn't done, she'd end up hating me for the rest of her life.

*******

Philip couldn't bear the thought of Tricia hating him. He knew he had to make things right. And by doing that, he had to choose between the two girls. Daphne was his first love, though their relationship wasn't one he fancied. It was complicated; not passionate like he wanted. It was filled with lies, this he could tell. He knew Daphne was hiding something from him, but he didn't know what was it she didn't want him knowing. He wanted to see for himself, and could only do so if he just stayed close.

"Taxi,”

I took a deep breath and got in the back, asking the driver to follow the yellow taxi in front.

We drove for an hour, the taxi which seemed like it didn’t want to be followed, taking a narrow road, that looked pretty odd to me. I was determined to know what was going on. I asked the driver to drive slowly, so it wouldn't seem like there was anyone following behind. From where we were, I could see the yellow taxi. It pulled up in front of a red building. Whose house is this? I wondered, having no idea how someone could own a property like this in the middle of nowhere.

I waited patiently for her to move into the building. It was a relief she hadn’t sighted the taxi that I was in, else my mission would have been for nothing. I got out immediately, paid the driver off and started toward where I had seen her move in.

I knew someone was following me but I couldn’t say who it was. I needed to know what motive he had, and was ready to kill anyone who came ruining my plans!

I walked into the apartment, giving instructions to the gang as I walked out the back. I clasped my gun, ready to shoot—as what I saw glued me to the spot.

“Daphne?!”

A heavy metal came on his head and he fell to the ground.

"What the hell?”

“I believe “Thank you” is the word you’re looking for,” Romero spoke. “You know, you should try and be careful sometimes,”

“I threw him a scowl. “That’s my boyfriend, you idiot!”

He asked sarcastically, “This guy?”

I frowned. “Don’t start!” I went on to say, “You shouldn’t have left your post,”

He scoffed. “Like you're the boss?”

I growled. “Well, you should be thankful he isn’t here.” I folded my arms.

And he smirked. “Whose responsibility is he?” he asked with fingers pointed down to Philip.

“Yours!” I shrugged and walked off.

Philip was going to be our prisoner—because I was going to teach him a lesson he'd never forget.

Squash—

“Wake up!” I commanded, handing Ashton the once-filled bucket.

Ashton was my best friend and partner. We walked hand-in-hand and did mostly everything together.

“Leave us!” I asked her to leave.

Chuckling inwardly, I stooped to take a closer look at him.

“Why are you doing this?” he asked weakly.

“Mm. You look tired,” I ran my fingers lightly on his face.

And he huffed. “Don't touch me!”

I laughed. “But I’m not doing anything,”

“You monster!” he made to stand, the chains I bound him with, dragging him to the floor.

“Mm-hmm-hmm—” I laughed softly, not giving up on warming his lips.

“You're despicable!” he threw his head away as he cursed.

I loved the pain he was feeling, as I wanted him to feel all that I felt, when I came to realize that he was in love with that wrench!

“What do you want?” he asked, and I moaned, moving my lips on one side of his face; my tongue getting a taste of his salty skin.

“You really want to know?” I raked my fingers through his hair, and looked down at him. “Well, you’ll see!” I said with a final kiss on his pouty lips.

I was ready to go back to school, thanks to mum being persuasive. I hadn’t forgiven her, and was glad to know that I'd be going back to where I wouldn’t have to be seeing her—Patrick, not excluded.

“Packed everything, honey?”

I answered laconically, “Yeah."

... and rolled my box behind.

“Baby?” she called.

“What is it?” I turned to know what was it she wanted to say.

“I love you—”

I shook my head, unsure of whether to reply.

“Baby…”

“Yeah? You've got something to say?”

She sighed and embraced me. “I can’t believe my baby's leaving already,”

“There’s no need to make things awkward here.” I said and pulled out from her arms.

I wasn’t in any mood to talk. And felt even worse when I turned to see Patrick smiling down at us.

“I have to go,” I didn’t need anyone calling me back.

“Aren't you going to bid your father goodbye?”

I squeezed my face on hearing the word “Father” on her lips. “Not necessary,”

“I thought maybe…”

“Mum, can you please let me be?!”

“I-I'm sorry. I just thought maybe…”

“Perhaps you should keep that thought to yourself!” Did I just say that? I blinked, remembering I was talking to no other person than my mother.

“M-Mum, I'm sorry,”

She replied shakily, “N-no. No, it’s fine—” she turned to leave.

I couldn’t help but feel emotional at the thought that I had hurt her. I've been so harsh on her, it occurred to me. How will I be able to forgive myself? I sobbed at the spot. “Mum!”

She turned at the call.

“Mum, I’m so sorry,” I rushed into her arms, regretting all I had done.

We used to be closer than this—why did things have to change? I asked myself, cursing the day the strange wind came blowing in my family.

I didn’t want to let go of her as I felt safe in her arms. I couldn’t remember the last time we hugged, and I wished we could remain like this as long as the clock ticked.

“You should go, baby. Come on. Dry those tears.” she pushed me off gently, and wiped my tears off with her thumb.

I didn’t want to leave but I had no choice but to do so. Hugging her one last time, I smiled up faintly at Patrick, and stepped out.

MCL - 48 SHORTS

***Keep your thoughts***

I was on my way to catch a train back to Fitchburg, when someone gripped me and placed a sack over my head.

I didn’t see who it was but I could tell that I was going down danger lane, because next I saw myself was in a place I couldn’t recognize—and that was after I woke up.

“Wh-where am I?” I looked drowsily, a faint image grinning widely at me. “H-how am I here? What did I do?”

“You're in a warehouse,” a hoarse voice came. “No one will ever be able to find you here.” he said.

I tried to know who it was. The voice sounded really familiar, and wasn’t any different from—

“James!” I gasped. “I-I thought you were dead?”

He cackled and moved away from me. “I’m alive, baby!”

I sweated profusely, heart beating at the thought of what he was going to do to me—revenge—slow, steady voices echoed in my head.

“What do you want from me? Why did you bring me here?”

He made an all-familiar sound with his mouth, the ticking noise making me want to punch him.

"You ask too many questions, mi Amor,” he crouched and raised my chin. “My! I never thought I'd see this pretty face of yours again.”

“Get your hands off me, you bastard!”

A slap I didn't expect to get, came on me, and sent me seeing stars—all of different colours.

“You’ve really got some nerves… Parker!” he snarled.

“Go to hell!” I spat in his face.

He bit his bottom lip, in a way to hold in his anger, and wiped his face with the handkerchief in his hand.

“You're lucky I’m in a good mood today,” he said with a snort, motioning to a guy with a bad hair-do, whom I presumed was his partner.

He whispered something to him, and he nodded in agreement, clutching his gun as he walked to the other end of the large tin-roofed warehouse.

It was not quite long before some men came moving in, another bound with chains, staggering toward us as they pushed and kicked him.

“Ph-Philip?” I couldn’t believe it. It was no other person than him. “You animal! Why do you have Philip?”

“Tri… cia,”

I looked in pity, hearing him call my name. “Philip. Philiip—James, let Philip go. He hasn’t done anything!” I tried to release my hand from the hurting ropes. Why is James doing this? Philip’s never done anything to him.

“Awe. Such charming lovebirds you two are,” he chuckled maniacally.

And I fumed. “I curse the day I met you!”

He smiled with one hand placed on his chest. “So sweet,” he said.

The men pushed Philip and he came falling.

“Watch it, assholes!”

One of them gave me a vicious snort.

“Whoo-hoo. Hope I’m not too late?”

I raised my head on recognizing the voice. “You've got to be kidding me!”
