Blinking44:Get in touch with them ASAP! Yes, the rate is now very low but the percentage is still positive so there is no reason why your capital should decrease. The low rate will only reduce the interest you get. That said, if this persists, take your money out and go invest with another asset manager/investment firm. We need to begin to let them know that we have options! |

emmasoft: Can you confirm the current SDf rate for 2021 which is the rate at which VGIF is currently running? |

ernie4life:4.5% |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 3:23pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
ernie4life: SDF currently is 4.5% since September 2020 but became effective from January 1st for VGIF. So the guaranteed rate for VGIF now is 4.5%. As usual the additional yield above the guaranteed rate will still be available for investors. 2 Likes |

emmasoft:Why is the account opening for Investment One so tedious with regards to a Utility that has my residential address? With BVN,NIN etc there are more technical ways to confirm someones address rather than insisting on utility receipts that hardly ever carry the correct residential address just like PHCN payment which are online. This is very discouraging. I can fake a utility bill to carry the address you guys want but what gives? Better change as other investment firms I use have found creative ways for this requirement. This is very discouraging. |

Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 12:55pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
DUNKA: @DUNKA apologies for any delay you might be experiencing as regard account opening. Kindly note that account opening for any products particularly for VGIF is not tedious and requirements are not different from the usual kyc required in any financial institution as directed by SEC or CBN. It takes 48hrs or less to open a VGIF account. For the avoidance of doubt kyc documents required to open account are: Passport photo, ID card, Utility bill and your signature. Please also note that the following documents can be use in place of utility bill: your NIN slip, your signed bank account statement, your tenancy agreement Finally, kindly contact me if you are having any issues with your account opening. |
Re: Mutual Funds by DUNKA(m): 4:18pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
emmasoft:Thank You let me send in my NIN slip as there customer service rep who I was engaging did not state NIN slip as an acceptable utility document replacement. |
