This thread was created in 2016 and I believe there are few changes and improvement on the domain sales industry.

I have once tried domain sale but I didn't make any fortune from it, I have to abandoned everything then. I just want to give it another chance.

I purchase my domain then from domainking which the currency on the website was in naira.
I did my parking on bodis which the later banned my account after the suspected I was clicking on my domain with different VPN to get some dollar from clicking on ads.

All this frustrated me to abandoned the account, so I want to try this time again.

So I felt like there should be great changes. Even DAN.COM I didn't heard about them during those period. I think there should be an improvement on domaining.

So am asking based on, if there are better websites that came up since then.

From my experience, not at all. I think we are allowed 500 if it is still new and 2k later on.

When You register a new Gmail account, you need to warm the email account. Send messages from the email to your other registered emails and build a conversation. Keep on sending messages back and forth with 6-7 email accounts. For every first time you message those email accounts, google will send a warning along with the message that your new account is dangerous and can be use for phishing scam. So it now your duty to click on "It's safe". After you do that for about 6-7email accounts, the account will be trusted. I even experienced one of my messages entering spam automatically and the content was just "HI", I had to go to the spam folder and click on not spam and after that, no issues or whatsoever.


Another thing you should note is starting small. Trying sending not more than 10 outbound messages within 24hours. Mind you, it wouldn't reset by 12am, it is 24hours...eg, if you start outbouding by 3pm, do not send more than 10 messages till 3pm the following day.

Then start increasing it gradually with not more than 50messages for the first 8-13weeks. Don't send more than 1 message per hour for the first week, you can't be too careful.

I have stopped blaming those who enter this thread, read few pages, and develop the type of humongous confidence that Mike Mann doesn't even have.

I strongly blame those who have been around here for a while, and should know better than advising newbies to read JUST the first 100 pages, pages 1000 -2000, pages 1-500 etc.

We all are not the same. Pages 55 and 550 may contain the same information, but presented in different ways. John may grab the gist in page 55 but not in 550, while Jack may understand page 550 but not 55.

When I get emails from newbies seeking advice on whether to concentrate more on GEOS or brandables, I usually tell them to test both waters and gravitate towards that, which calls naturally to them.

A geo guy "shouldn't" give general advice, same for a brandables guy. This may produce conflicting info. I love the guys here that have discovered their niche, and are dishing out invaluable targeted info along these lines.

Please guys, let us advise these newbies to read EVERY page on this thread before thinking of spending a kobo. We do not even need to tell them about Namepros and the rest because they will surely come across their mentions and MORE by the time they get to the end of the thread.

With good intentions to help newbies off to an easy start, telling them to read only selected pages may be counter productive. Even if a few things have changed between 2016 and 2020, let them see for themselves how these things (trends/practices) change and evolve. Some people here have developed great predictive and intuitive knowledge from these historical trends. Pure Guts!!!
