Thank God you admitted i sent you a video...so you calling me a dubious person doesn't hold water...so it's now u know the video isn't clear enough....why didn't u ask me to do a better one..i remember i still sent u more pictures when u asked if the phone was opened before ...OHIOMOBA5 has never scammed anyone outside and inside of this thread...i value my peace of mind than any other thing sir...

Your ways are dubious, anyone who deals with you deals at his/her own risk. Your customer relation management is zero. No single sign of remorse. You really had to put the blame on the driver?? Do you even realize how pathetic you are ??

You better do the needful, instead of looking for who to put the blame on. Smh.

Seriously this issue shouldn't even get here at all, this is a very minor stuff that both of you can just sort out easily.

Either the nick was there initially or not, to replace that camera glass is less than 5k and you guys can reach a compromise.

Ohiomoba5, as a seller you may not initially be aware that nick was there, since it's very small and looks insignificant but since the buyer pointed it out, it's important you look at your pictures and videos to know what went wrong...

You guys can reach a compromise I believe

Ahh, so you dey lie like this ?

He made me a video that wasn't even clear.. I resent the picture he sent to me where you can see a little nick at the beginning of the camera if you look closely.. you are more or less a scammer at this point.. Puting the blame on the driver alone already says alot about you.. see the way you change everything. Haba.. fear God abeg. Thank God I have our chats. Better do the needful bros

Name calling won’t solve anything, I will advise you to state your grievances without abusive words.
You brought the issue here because you wanted to get a resolution to the dispute between both of you , so state your side of the story and let him do so too and allow people to be the judge......

Over to my ogas

Good day house.. I contacted ohiomoba5 yesterday for an iphone xr that he claimed was in mint condition.. told him I was in benin and we agreed on waybill... I even made payment to him without the use of an escrow(based on trust).. i repeatedly asked him if the phone was in mint condition before making payment, and he reassured me that the phone was in perfect condition.. he went ahead to waybill the phone early this morning.. the driver called me this afternoon, that I should come and pick up my item, as soon as I picked up the phone I told him(ohiomoba5).. got home and inspected the phone only to see that the phone has a Nick on the camera glass (of which he never mentioned) i contacted him immediately, and told him.. sent him pictures of the Nick, and he said I should allow my client see the phone first that he might not care about the Nick.. client came to inspect the phone and he said he can't accept it like that(item was not as described) I went ahead to tell ohiomoba5, at this point he started to put all the blame on the driver ( saying the phone didn't leave Lagos with a crack) that the driver must've dropped it... He has suddenly decided to not take any responsibility.. and point all fingers to the driver. this guy is a very dubious person, I highly disrecommend him.. Deal with him at your own risk.. even after trusting him (dealing without an escrow)..ohiomoba5 better do the needful, me I can't talk too much.

I’m surprised that something as insignificant as a scratch on the camera glass found its way in here.

Moving forward, I’m sure my boss @ohiomoba5 can accommodate around 3k that’s the cost of fixing a new glassl

Boss i belive I've bought a device from you and I am quite certain you are not a scammer but the salient thi g here is, did you describe phone as mint to the client ? Ig you did then he has every right to request for a refund of the item doesn't fit the description you gave him. Even if you send videos or a thousand pictures, we all know most times the representation on the pics tend to be different from the actual thing. If the you and the buyer can reach a compromise fine , if he insists on a refund and he is willing to send the phone back to you in lag , I dont see any reason why you wouldn't accept it. It's possible he doesn't want a device any blemish .

But y'all should try to understand something that the term uk used or us used however mint its captioned one should always factor for a teeny weeny bit of wear and tear . Especially when jts negligible.

What about if buyer is not a reseller or a phone dealer and the only buyer he had was the person who showed interest but later said he was no longer interested. You need to factor that too. How many buyers will come back to a device that has been fixed. Abi you know whether he one quickly flip the money that doesn't actually belongs to him on this deal . If buyer wants a refund and that's a valid ground for it I think it should be honored , I dont think it's ideal to compel a buyer to fix a device evenjf the defect is negligible .

My boss thanks u made an important input ..yes i advertised phone as mint...and the camera glass wasn't broken when i sent it...where i feel i should be held responsible is if phone has some internal issues like face id n the common iPhone issues...and even with the crack i don't think there is an issue with phone ...i have told him to find out the cost of fixing the camera glass...i will pay for it...

Me, I don't want any wahala sha. Someone asked me to help him get him a mint iphone xr. I contacted ohiomoba5 , and asked questions regarding the phone. I repeatedly asked him if the phone is mint.. he kept on reassuring me that it is mint(that it's more like brand new self) I told my client about the deal.. he said as long as it's mint then okay (most people here really don't know what a mint device actually is) mint isn't the same as clean. A mint phone should be free from any defects or dents. This same phone also have a slight dent at the bottom edge but I considered it insignificant. My main concern was the Nick on the camera glass. Buyer said he won't accept it(I don't blame him, cuz this wasn't what he was expecting) the phone didn't come as discribed. I was even trying to reason with him so he can replace the phone with another one instead of a refund. But he kept on saying he won't take any responsibility. That I should go ahead and do anything I want to do(If this isn't the definition of a dubious person then I don't know what is)

That's what the word MINT means. It's not supposed to have usable signs. It should be in pristine condition.

Words like neat, clean are better for devices with little signs of use.

Can you share with us the pictures you sent to the buyer?

There is a dent on the left edge, but it's little and insignificant(but even so it shouldn't be found on a device that is described as mint) .. there is also a line scratch on the screen, and scratches at the back. But I never mentioned any of this, my main concern was the Nick on the camera glass and you still chose not to take any responsibility. You're a very dubious man. Better do the needful before the matter escalates.. I'll attach pictures of the little dents on the bottom edge, the scratches on the screen and the back

If the camera glass truly broke on transit. Asking him for a refund is selfishness.

You have to understand that the reward for doing business is not profit alone. if the device got missing on transit would you still request for a refund from him?

I think his gripe is that the item wasn't as described and rightfully so. If you describe an item as mint, I'll expect to see it in pristine condition with little to no blemish.

Remember he saw picture and he saw video.

Let's call a spade a spade. His "gripe" is that the camera glass is broken and his buyer rejected the device most likely based on that.

Boss, I wasn't even considering anything like him issuing me a refund when I told him about the nick, My suggestion was that he replaces the device. He was the same person who told me to tell my client to come see the phone first before we take any further step. Client came and inspected, he said this is not what he was expecting. I had to contact ohiomoba5, as soon as i told him client didn't accept the phone he started to point all fingers at the driver. He said he wouldn't take any responsibility whatsoever.. tbh that's crap, this man is dubious. This is not the first nor Will it be the last time I'll be buying anything from nairaland. I've had similar issues with sellers here. But it got resolved quickly without any need for dispute. 1: because of their good customer relation and 2: because they know how to do what's right. But this man right here ohiomoba5 hmm..

Well Sha, you've just showcased your true colors.. if you'll be having any dealings with this man now or in the near future please deal with caution to avoid stories that touch. That's all I can say. I don't want a refund anymore.. just cover the cost of the camera glass just as the others have suggested. I'm tired of going back and forth with you. I'll try to talk to client. Bros that is not done, the seller should take all responsibility, cos even if the screen breaks, the seller should take the responsibility to either repair or refund, have bought a phone from bobo65, and i luved the way he packaged the phone even if the bus enter pot holes, it wouldn't ve faults, when shipping a phone or anything made of glass, you suppose to add a foam in front and back of the fone so that it wouldn't break or ve scratches, so the seller blaming the driver is so wrong, he should take full responsibility
