I stopped reading when you compared PHP to HTML... like WTF.

PHP is not fading, although there are many options for back end development. There is no one fit all language. So it is best to learn concepts, patterns, data structures and algorithms, that way you wont find it difficult to learn any programming language.

Drop that stuff called "kivy" I had plied that route in the past, the experience at compilation stage was horrible. If you intend to learn and design mobile app, go for flutter.
Did I told you that the available official Buildozer on kivy failed with my project then. I have to pay someone in Russia to compile my kivy project into apk.

I later requested for his version of Buildozer for subsequent compilation as I can not be paying him every time. If you get to this stage and you need it, I will gladly share it with you.

PS: I am a full time pythonista

Use buildozer to convert your app on a linux . It would not work on a windows.
And I faced the problems installing kivy but once you know that, you are fine and good to go.
You would need to go to your idea setting install
Docutils
Pypiwin32
Pygments
Kivy
And some kivy.deps extension and your kivy is good to go.

I am comfortable with pycharm though haven't tried it on jupyter notebook

Lol...I dey shuffle between ES6 and regular expression tutorials. Nah one thing to dey learn, another thing to apply wetin person dey learn..so I dey reason go project way..code simple calculator and timer first before I proceed. E must end in cash and joy las las.

Ermm chill don't skip to projects yet. Freecodecamp has data scripting and algorithm tests as you go along where you will test what you have learnt before the main projects itself. I know its a pain. Trust me I was super frustrated when I was in the javascript section but its worth it. Just push through.

I am thinking of creating a group or something where beginners like myself can collaborate and also ask questions if they can't get something done.

While I was a newbie programmer myself, I dabbled into almost every aspect of software development: mobile app (learnt Kotlin a bit using Android Studio), web development (struggled with PHP at first) then AI/Machine learning (with Python)'

That's the mistake most newbies find themselves in: trying to learn everything instead of picking just one aspect and aspiring to master it. Well I finally passed my "Tutorial hell" stage and stuck with Python.

Now I do virtually everything with python from Web designing (Django) to AI and Data Science.

Your Kotlin pick for Android mobile app development makes sense to me.
How far have you gone? Have you finished any of your projects yet?
I started learning web dev last September, and I'm currently working on projects incorporating html, css and javascript, although sha, I done know what else to learn when I'm done with the project tutorial.

Don't underestimate the power of c# , that language can do anything, window (windows , mac etc), web, mobile(xamarine c#), game (unity), AI and Machine Learning with Azure services, Internet of things.

No mater your career in programming, c# .net got you covered.

Do you have these projects online? I actually started around November myself. Its really been a fun journey. Message me on WhatsApp if you like lets discuss and maybe collab on certain projects. I feel if all of us beginners come together and work on stuffs together it would be great

Yes this is why I feel a group might be better as it will hold you accountable to some extent to at least code once a week. And you won't be alone learning. It can be very difficult if your brain is the only one working on something. It becomes easier when you collab or seek help. Hit me up on WhatsApp my no is on my signature.

These are my certification pathway as listed below:

1. Currently studying for the CCP exams
2. Solution Architect Associate (next)
3. Devop Associate (next)
4. SysOp Associate (next)

At the completion of the listed 4 above then I will be gunning for the Solution Architect Professional and then round it up with the DB speciality.

These are my goals for 2021 and beyond.

I agree with most of what you said especially the uploading of your own projects. Buy domain name (only like $5 per year), pay for hosting services or work your way around it using free hosting plaforms and showcase your skills to your propective clients. Github works perfectly for me as you don't have to buy a domain name self.

But last last in order to create an eye catching project one has to have been well grounded in his/her skills unfortunately before then many beginner's programmers go don lose motivation.

I agree with you on the motivation part. I will update my post to say that a newbie should start an e-commerce website for selling items as they are learning that way it will help to motivate them as they go along knowing that they have a live application running online.

You are correct for mentioning Github this too is important. But can you view a web application directly online from a Github without web hosting?

Cool topic. But I'm not finding CSS easy shaa cheesy

You made me laugh out loud. I remember those days I cried trying to learn css. About 6 months ago I didn't know anything about anything in CSS. I can tell you right now I'm now a guru and well experienced using CSS. It's simple as far as you learn kinda slowly but steady so you won't forget what you've learnt. Don't be in a haste to finish up.

I went on to learn JavaScript afterwards. I'm currently learning react.js and in few months now, I'll be applying for jobs as a front-end developer.

The basics.
I'd recommend you download the sololearn app on play store or use w3schools.com, you can as well use both concurrently, this is to get grounded in the fundamentals.
Then download this popular Ebook "Eloquent JavaScript"..
Then YouTube to clear up grey areas.

Exactly. I started from sololearn, then moved to w3schools then combined it with YouTube. I'm now learning react.js on udemy and pluralsight.

Yeah you can create a repository and push your code there then you can make it live. It comes with a github domain like github.io.your-username/your-repository-name.

Quick tip: even this my gorablog.com is actually a live github repository hosted on github. You can browse through YouTube to get educated on github, it's a very powerful tool for programmers.

One of this days, I will write an article on how to create a custom website hosted for free via github and with a custom domain name like exampledotcom.

Hello bro. It so sad to hear this from you. You've learnt a great of programming languages; you don't need to give up because of your system. You can keep learning using your smart phone. Download sololearn app, and download python app that allows you to run a program on your Android phone and keep practicing untill you get a new laptop. Programming is very interesting, infact, my eye is not focus on how to make money from it but to learn to solve problems because it iss brain tasking! Be motivated bro!

I have a ton of tutorials on Web development and Python, I learnt these to an extent but I lost interest.
I am a fvcking computer science student.

Maybe if school resumes, I will get back at it though.
It's boring and tiring when you learn alone. I haven't written a code in months. My computer is now for watching movies. I am tired of this world and it's problems sef.

There's nothing I haven't dabbled in.
I have tried beat making. I currently have a beat making software on my computer, but I don't learn it anymore.

I have Android studio installed, but I don't learn with it anymore.

I have pycharm installed, but I don't use it anymore.

I have C++ compiler installed, but I don't learn with it anymore.

I have blender installed, but I don't learn animation making anymore.

I have eclipse installed, but I haven't opened it for months.

Then I created 5 blogs, but I lost interest.

I AM TIRED!

not to sound like a motivational speaker;

you will catch a break. never stop learning.

I started learning programming with freecodecamp and it started me with htlm5 basics...

I am afraid that I'll not be able to do any project with it as I need a language that I can major just like python....

I have keen interest for python and JS...

I need your guide on this...

probably, I'd like to chat you up.

I started my pathon journey a month ago. Someone suggested sololearn app, infact that app is awesome, withing weeks, I have learnt a great deal of in-built functions.
You can also download mosh hamedani's 6 hours python video on YouTube. If you can blend solo app with that man's YouTube tutorial video, you are good to go bro.
