I wanted to make this post on Islamic section, but seeing the oath I have to take before opening a topic there, I have no option than to bring it to politics.

So today, I was in a public transport going to work when we saw a news paper headline that has to do with Kukah's speech. Then one of the passenger made a statement that really hurt my feelings and it seems like majority of the passengers share same view with him. I wouldn't want to say his exact words, but in summary he was like Kukah's speech was a direct attack on their religion. Right in my mind, I was really surprised how these guys have taken a mere speech as an attack on religion. Sheikh Gumi have spoken a lot, Sultan of Sokoto have spoken too, no one reacted to their speech as they are doing to Kukah's own.

My question to the Muslims on this forum, what exactly did Kukah said that made his speech an attack on your religion. Please can you quote the part of his speech or his words that is an attack to your religion. Maybe there is something that we are not seeing or maybe our Christians eyes cants see that part.

Plz kindly point out to us the part of Kukah's speech that is inciting and insultive to your religion.

Now as a respected scholar, he should not have joined the religion with the bad governance of this administration. You guys have failed to understand the psychic of a northern muslim. many people from the north never wanted Buhari to be the president but because people like u turned it to religious issue, the northerners then embraced Buhari as the their own. note that sultan and other prominent Islamic clerics have been against this government. what the bishop ought to do was to attack the government without joining islam to it but he made it clear that the government was allowed because it is headed by a muslim which is a capital lie. as far as I am concern Buhari do not represent islam and if the bishop had not put all muslims together and joined them with the bad governance of this administration all will support him irrespective of muslims and christians.

Why do you think such statements is worse than all the inflammatory statements Buhari and so many northerners made during Jonathan and why not such threats from the south. Your current president once said an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north, he was hailed. And many religious intonation statements from same northerners. Mind you, prior to 2015 elections, Jonathan politicized religion by junketing from Tel Aviv to Isreal, funding activities of Christian Militia in Taraba and Pleateu using Oritsejafor's private jet, moving from church to church seeking endorsement and CAN (which Kukah is part of) finally capped it by declaring him their sole candidate. This was how the Muslims decided too let's make it a religious affair and JNI declared support for GMB.

From my own point of view and being skeptical on issues pertaining to saying THE TRUTH, I sees nothing bad in what Bishop Kukah said.

Note: I'm a Muslim who takes Humanity first before tribe and religion. my own na to go to mosque, pray and leave. I do avoid having some interactive session with some of them cos they are extremist. How will you tell me that I won't enter Heaven for eating Xmas food?, a festive period of peace andyou want me to reject such, Bro I don't waste food.., while we said Islam is a religion of peace. some hypocrite will said Islam is not against what he said, Why are we having threat from Islamic groups and not Christianity group in the North?.. Bishop Kukah should keeps on saying the truth and to my fellow Nairalander, let's all say the truth when it's necessary bcoz it's saves some unwarranted issues.

1. To be honest even if Buhari is from the east there is nothing we can do because only the senate can remove him.
