The one from primary, I can't say but it doesn't look good from what I see. Secondary is becoming an online English teacher. Came from very poor background but her brains are hot. while we proceeded to uni, we learnt she got pregnant.Uni,just disappeared from everywhere. Can't say but I pray it's good for her.

Competing and measuring intelligence with score is something I've always hated and will continue to hate. The educational system is doing more harm than good.

You can't blame the education system when there's no clear alternative. Writing exams to measure one's progress after a period is inevitable. And once the exams are written and the scores are out, the data already place students. Bedsides, the competition has good aspects we can't just look away from. It is healthy enough and it reflects real life where we must compete to survive. You just can't remove competition from our existence. The education system has it's limitations but saying it has done more harm than good is overstretching it.

I came second all through my primary school years, was always top of class during my secondary school and then to the university.. I graduated third best in my class...


After Nysc I struggled to secure a job, and went through hard times because i didnt learn no skill. I love reading books, It was all about academics, nothing mattered to me then but now i understand better.. There is no substitute to what your hands can do.
I can't say I am where I want to be at the moment but I know I am going there soon...

Success is not measured by academic excellence... Success is a mindset.. You have to want to be successful and give in all you gat to be there..

Mine, I was the the class topper in primary school. I mean the overall best. Onto Junior sec. school I was the best as well. At senior sec, I was among the top 3 in my class. Never knew the exact position cos they don't grade positions at my senior secondary.

On to University, hell, I have spent more than eight years now still couldn't graduate. Finance, acquisitions, I don't even a full grown chicken to my name. Just managing life.

Lol, I know I'll be an example to many of my former classmates. They'll be like 'look at so, so (Jusatboyy) he still hasn't graduated life is not by academic grades' bla, bla...........

Some of them are married with kids, some medical doctors, some pharmacist, engineers, busineessmen/women.

The best graduating student runs a business and he is well to do. He deals in computer gadgets and installations of networking stuffs. The second one works with Mobil as their server administrator or so. He manages their servers. The third one works with NCC. The fourth one works with Mobil. The fifth one is based in UK. My class topper is a professor of statistics in UK now.
Prof at the age of 29yrs.

I never topped class nor carry last. In fact I was never among the top 10 in any class. I even dropped out of university after three years in university and went back to polytechnic to start over again. Glory be to God today as I have $45,000 in savings and $35,000 in investment.

Stop judging by naija standards where merit is subsumed by quota system, god father, sex or money for stuff and corruption.


Go for the best, always. But also be situationally aware. A key factor to being a successful person is spatial awareness.

Spatial awareness refers to your ability to be aware of objects in space and your body's position in relation to them.

So not only books. But where you are, what's around you, how things work and relate to each other, cause and effect, a higher being (God). It translates to problem solving. And that's success. Ability to help people solve problems.

I've noticed that you attribute everything to spiritual occurrences, for instance these your foundational powers and witchcraft manipulations that you've mentioned.

How did you come to these conclusions about life events? If it's true that is caused by the above, what can one do about it?

I was the best graduating student in ss3 and uni and it took me years (including interning and working almost for free) to finally make it to my feet.

Morale of the story. Beyond classroom education, children need to learn life skills: foreign languages, entrepreneurship and even sports. Not every child's talent lies in excelling in exams

I was among the top 5 in my primary school, and the top in my secondary school and among the top 7 in my department in the university. I think life has been fair to me and doing just fine. Though there were delays securing university admission, I don’t think any of my mate can look down on me. I am not that rich, but nobody can look down on me. I got achievements money cannot buy. I got a PhD to my name from one of the 10 best universities in the world.

That you topped others never meant you were smarter. When I was in school I hated academic protocols and curriculum. I never topped a class apart from my primary 5, I read outside the scheme topics that i find absorbing but it put me behind in position. In the end it paid off, i did better externally,I got admitted before the toppers,became an engineer,and got employed. In life generally our emotional intelligence ,persistence and grace leads the way to success than IQ and skill. Cheers.
