The professors might not hatch, but the knowledge they give is what people are using globally to do exploits. Why are you a phd student? You should know it is for individual thinking aside of been taught in class. Forget about stepping on toes for me, people come, they brag and they either err or go which is obvious from the many before you.

Critic with solutions and not condemn without a pathway. If education is over emphasized, why are you doing Phd and not creating a product or learning skill? I don't talk people down, but would not allow anyone to rubbish the great work experts here have done, hence we evaluate people trying to express they know, whereas some have proved to lack experience, never engaged in fish farming before or even trying to coax people to themselves.

Having a PhD doesn't make you good. Always know that. I have been in education conferences to know that. Also know that those that have the resources to complete a master can successfully finish a PhD.

So my brother, don't let your PhD make you feel too much please. My younger brother is a PhD lecturer(not even a candidate & not even recent doctor) in the 2nd best university and my Juniors are professors(also my younger brother Juniors too), so don't let I am a PhD student make you think you know better than ANYONE here on this forum.

There are many things you don't know, but thinking because you are doing PhD that you are an authority, if you like don't have 3-5 publication from your PhD and then you will know you achieved nothing afterwards.

I wish you the best in your PhD, because of people like you I will do PhD and give hope to people that it's not impossible.
I have been doing that, hence decided to just read and know more.

I am a master student to the Glory of God with over 4.6/5 at master level, aside thesis. But for strike, my thesis would have been completed. And I am not studying in North also.

Be humble please. PhD only are authority in their fields.

PhD is about building character too, if you like don't be humble and see how you can fare. Anyone that can do master program under good supervisor and have funds will do a PhD successfully

I sometimes wonder is they ever wonder why people study Fisheries as a 5 year Degree Program in the Universities.

Fish Farming would become an easy DIY thing after one completes the full cycle of rearing the fish from fries/fingerlings/juveniles to Table size to sales.

however the purpose of education on the subject matter is to preserve the entire scope of Fishery from one generation to next generation.


Fish Farming is a practice/hustle to make money at the end of it.

Fishery is a Degree program to rise you to any level of it's certification you desire to achieve. Masters, PHD, etc.


You should never mix up a Practice/hustle with a Program

This guy he is talking about only painted a clear picture on how the Nigerian educational system has not been supporting graduates in the real world , no job, even the processional courses are almost abstract which are almost not applicable without practical experiences which most of this lecturer self don't have or provide for the student and this is true. but instead the guy took it personal and started ranting like chicken wey dem cut hin neck. what if he is a Phd student ? do u know may b he is a lecturer ? we are trying to survive one way or the other in Nigeria because that's the society we find yourself. how many of this professors are really practicing instead they into one business or the other just to survive .
He is not the only one that can write essay or composition so let him bring it up . Compounded fool.......

In one of the post of the guy he said he learn this work (fish work I presume) from many people including old and young yet he is a PhD student meaning his formal education has not been helpful to him. So what's is wrong in what he has said ?. Me I b illiterate but I thank God am doing well in my farm and I have people also helping so either PHD or Msc let the truth be told.
