Good morning, guys.

I have an issue I would like your opinions on:

I just dropped out of my classes for the January 2021 semester since my permit hasn't been approved yet. I sent a list of the registered courses for the semester along with my application. The issue now is, it is stated in my admission letter that I am allowed to start the semester any time from September 2020-May 2021 but should I still let the embassy know my classes have been dropped and I'm deferring to May? And how do I do it without a new admission letter?

Thanks

Raise a webform to the embassy, informing them of the deferment. Request for proof of deferment from your school, if that is not possible.
Inform the embassy in that same webform that in your admission letter you were provided with the option of resuming any time between sept2020 - May2021, and due to the long processing time you have chosen to defer your admission to May

Hi guys!

I'm fairly new here. Been reading and catching up. Wish I joined this thread before my spouse applied. We ended up using an immigration consultant living in Canada.

Please is there anyone who applied in November and has received an approval?

Hubby applied alone in November (after a refusal in September). We are yet to get any feedback from our consultant.

She also added all the NSE requirements (IELTS, mybankstatement, upfront medicals) even though we did not get NSE request.

His classes were to start on the 11th of January but he has deferred to March intake since there's been no response.

Anyone in our shoes please? We are getting so antsy waiting for a response.

It shall end in praise by God's grace

Just to be clear, did you submit the POF part of the NSE requirement, or you didn't respond to the request at all?

They just responded to me that they will resume my application after the document is received. Please what should I do. If you can advise please reach me.

The problem is I don't have a close relative with the funds. But can a third party do? Please how do I go about it?

Hello house,

Please my sister who was delayed for Study permit last year got her GCMS notes and one of the statement made by the VO was that her "Relationship with her sponsor was not established by way of official government issued I.D". What does this mean please. Her sponsor is her distant relative but she claimed Uncle in her letter.
Thank you
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Chukwubuikexo: 9:57am On Jan 19, 2021
Add all the documents that show that you are a fully funded student.
Clearly state that, your expenses have been duly covered by the funding, that you would have no recourse for public funds and wouldn't be a financial liability to the Canadian govt or anybody. Add your personal bank statement too
You should respond, rather than keep quiet

Did the sponsor submitted his international passport or any recognised form of identification? If yes, do they have same surname?
As a 3rd party, the sponsor is supposed to show commitment by paying the said fund (tuition and living expenses) into the applicant's account or pay the tuition fee to the school before application

Maternal or paternal uncle?
She should provide the corresponding birth certificate (which is a govt issued I.D) of her mum or Dad to show relationship with the uncle. Plus their respective passports, a family tree diagram in the SOP would help, plus family pictures

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by TheShaman: 10:15am On Jan 19, 2021
You need to establish/show a family link between her and said relative. A family tree diagram is one way to show the relationship. Also, endeavor to add family pictures showing both your sister and the relative if possible.
