Haba, this one is an indictment on the illustrious career of the man na. I've always felt that than deflategate was just a whole load of bullocks. Definitely unintentional. There were studies that even showed that the weather could alter the pressure of the ball. And those balls were even reinflated at halftime in that very game and NE still scored 28 more points, more than they scored with the so-called deflated balls.
Yes they scored more but it was after the ball was given to the Indiana colts as a souvenir that the whole Investigation came up Despite that I love and respect Brady You have a point It's just that since it was a debate concerning who we think is the greatest I had to bring out points just as he brought his This situation is just like in soccer where the strikers get more prominence than the midfielders just because they score goals and tend to take most of the glory despite what the midfielders conjure Tom Brady is a living legend but Jerry Rice was simply out of this world Almost every pass to him brought about a 90% chance of a touchdown

Yes bro Brady is the higher super bowl winner between the two cause Rice has 3. But the number of records Rice has to his name is highly and madly insane. Over a 100 records. Well I get your point picking tom Brady cause most feel a quarterback is more critical to a team than a wide receiver . But Jerry Rice was almost uncatchable when on the run and hardly dropped a pass and He has more records than Brady despite playing for only 16 years and Im sure many of his records won't be broken even till after his death. And most of us won't forget the deflagrate ball deflation scandal which implied they've been cheating for a long time. But as usual there's no debating that Tom Brady is in the top 3 and is the greatest quarterback of all time.
I have no problem with you tagging Jerry Rice as the WR GOAT. Few people will argue with this.

However the gulf in difficulty, the level of influence on a game between the Quarterback and Wide receiver is too wide (pun intended)

Forget about that Deflategate noise. Didn't Brady win two more Superbowls and get to another one after that so-called incident? And it was a one game event actually so nothing like cheating.

Guy. Tom Brady is something else. He's the only QB I've ever seen that you're facing in a Superbowl and you can't celebrate till the clock is 0:00

Who saw the Kyrie interview? I kinda feel bad for some of what I've said on this thread. That nigga looked like his wife and kids abandoned him or some shit. Whatever he's dealing with must be pretty serious man.

I hope his teammates rally round him and he's receptive to their support. Whatever he's dealing with I believe playing and being with his teammates would help him deal with it better

I don’t feel bad for any of the comments I’ve made towards him.

Imagine getting paid $30m+ a year just to show up to work whenever you want. angry

That’s an insult to people with regular jobs.

You have a duty to your teammates and coach.

How hard is it to text them about you needing time off?

The problem is Kyrie thinks he’s way intelligent than he actually is and can do whatever he wants.

I don’t blame him, I blame people like skip bayless that won’t stop gassing him after one good shot in Cleveland. Calling him the “closer”. wink

Anyways, I like his approach during the interview.

- Accept responsibility

- Not play the victim

Now I wana see him get to work. cheesy

Will have to watch this. I was joking when I said he needed psych help, but after the fact I realized he had all the tell tale signs of mental breakdown. I really hope he gets some help. Black males are the least likely to be diagnosed properly and people tend to think you should be tough and absorb it.

Are Harden and KD going to play 40 mins every night? It's 40mins each and we still have overtime to come. Harden player 41 against the Bucks. They both played 40 against Magic.
Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 3:38am On Jan 21, 2021
The 76ers were afraid to risk it all to get Harden but I thought it was a mistake.

They left it late to the point when the Nets became desperate.
They are not winning the NBA title with Simmons unless he develops some shooting. Embiid and Harris has clearly stepped up. But Simmons is holding this team back

Mental health that allows him text his teammates but not his coach? Kyrie should go to Jesus for his demons or he will end up like Delonte West.

Simmons is a mentally weak player. And yes, they will not win a ring with him in his current state. As for the NETS, they have serious defensive issues and sadly, I think they should trade Kyrie for a defensive pairing that will support KD and Harden.

Even if it was after, the somewhat sparkless Celtics should not be this close to the improved Sixers. One would have felt like if this game was worth anything, the Celtics would have won. Simmons has regressed this year (I know partly due to the trade rumours) but how can a modern day NBA player not have developed the confidence to take shots? Even Kelly Oubre was shooting despite his suboptimal FG%.

I can confidently say you watched the game. The Celtics absolutely blew this game and it was frustrating to see because it is a familiar kind of loss.
Also, I agree with you about the improvements of Embiid and Harris especially the latter who has become more aggressive. But again, we have seen this from Embiid over the years. He shows improvements but soon stagnates and return to lazy basketball.

Exactly. Two things can be true. We can agree that he has been going about his business the wrong way and also point out that he looks like someone dealing with some serious mental health issues.

People are really unhappy out there and sometimes it's not about being rich or successful

Obviously the Nets need to seriously work on their defense but I will not join the crowd to call for a Kyrie trade just yet. That would be lazy because he actually played well. The problem was with role players like Luwawu Cabarot and Joe Harris going 2/16. No point in them taking that many shots if they are going to shoot it so poorly

The Cavs have been a very decent team this season and don't forget they added two guys from the Nets. Who combined for 29 and 18 boards

There is not enough wiggle room to work with on their starting 5 defensively so they just have to manage what they have. I don't really see any player out there with quality defensive traits and can play major minutes that's available for a trade but they need to add a couple of guys to that bench. It's just too thin

When I talked about how important Jarrett Allen is to the Nets, you tried to downplay it.

Now we can see and as we know, Defense win championships.

Deandre Jordan can only do so much lol, baba is 36

Teams will punish them on the Board when it comes to the playoffs.

Curry with a double double

LBJ fans will quickly change their narrative now

grin grin

But this is like the 3rd time a 191cm Curry is scoring more rebounds than his other teammates

I feel its quite worrisome

That's because black males are scared of the stigma and are less likely to seek help or even accept help when its offered

Lool this is so funny. What was their record before the trade? You would think they were 10-0 and Jarrett Allen was absent in their previous losses

Na wa. See as you dey mention Jarrett Allen like say na Tim Duncan. Even Jarrett Allen if he was a GM he would trade himself for James Harden

To be honest, as a black person you need to be careful which health professional you discuss your case with. Stories abound - even black researchers that study this phenomenon are not exempt. I know of 2 that died as a result of under treatment. One was a doctor at the hospital she was treated!

In Kyries case, things are worse. Your fam eats off of you, so you cannot be sure they will give you advice in your best interest

Your second paragraph is quite apt. And I kinda agree. That's why its a welcome development he is owning up to it all and probably seeking help.

He'll come out of it. At least I hope so

Man this is getting out of hand with the Nets. The Cavs are not even a good offensive team and they've virtually scored 100 points in three quarters. Something needs to be done and fast.
