so they had to combine 2 seasons for it to look impressive abi? Tainkiu, but we no do

He has had a difficult season yet he is 2nd to Thomas Muller in assists in the league. Getting him would have been like getting a Bruno on the RW.

Some of you United fans are too emotional. How the anger that should have been directed at the Dortmund board for being unreasonable somehow got directed at Sancho is unbelievable.

He was not the one that placed the huge price tag on himself. The deal collapsed because of Dortmund not Sancho.

Luckily i am hearing rumors that Amad has been shining in training and would likely get his debut within the next week.
Hopefully he solves our RW problems long term.

Hopefully he solves our problem in the long term but what happens to the short term?

Let me explain it better, He is young hasn't played many senior matches hoping he comes good in the future. While we wait for him to develop into a good player what will happen to that right wing?

He might solve it short term as well. I am hearing he has been very impressive in training.
We will just have to see how he does when he gets his opportunity.

By long term I only meant he would not be a short term fix like Zlatan and Cavani for example.

Doc meant we not looking for a player to fix the right wing in the next 5,6 years I guess

Likely to play against Liverpool, though unlikely to start. Rumor has it that, he has replaced Lingard in the United 22-Man core Squad.

Doc sancho wasn't even keen on joining United according to reports. He could have put pressure on Dortmund after seeing the unreasonable amount Dortmund was quoting and unwilling to negotiate

Those reports are not corroborated by what he actually did and by what Tier 1 transfer journalists said.

He wanted to come and was hopeful a deal would be agreed on. He didn’t want to rock the boat or cause problems for his club which is exactly what many have criticized Pogba for doing with regards to his Madrid links.

The fact that Sancho looked disinterested and out of sorts for the first 2-3 months of the season is very good evidence that he was disappointed about not completing the deal. It is not until you attack your club in public before you show that you want to leave.

You guys hate it when Pogba and his agent put pressure on the club to allow him to leave but want other clubs’ players to do the same thing so they can move to Man Utd.

And what good has Pogba’s pressure done in terms of forcing the move anyway?

We can as well say Bruno didn’t want to come when he didn’t force a move in the summer of 2019 after all the links.

A more reasonable debate to have is how good or bad Sancho really is as a player. That is a fair and logical debate to have.

However trying to pin the the collapse of the deal on him is all kinds of wrong.

Lingard can go and join his mate Hazard in La Liga. Let him give space for our youth. Amad, Elanga and Pellistri are waiting to have an opportunity on the wings and Mejbri is also developing nicely in midfield.

Anyone can flop. There is a club that went naked to negotiation table and still bought 3 flops.

My point is that people should stop conflating issues.
The argument over whether Sancho is really good enough to improve our 1st team should be different from the argument over whether he was to blame for the deal collapsing.

Finally i am a United fan first and foremost and i don’t Stan any player (apart from maybe Baresi, Keane, Zidane lol). Right now my hope is that Amad and/or Pellistri solve our RW problems and we don’t have to go back to Sancho.
Hopefully that ship has sailed.

Never heard that Pogba was putting pressure on the club to let him go. Complaints have always been about his attitude on the pitch and contribution to the team structure. Well maybe that happened, I didn't hear about it. Especially as there was no bid from any other club. Or did Juve or Madrid make a bid?

You have not read any of Pogba’s agents countless comments asking the club to let him go? Or you think the agent kept making those comments without Pogba’s approval and didn’t get sacked?

You also actually missed the main point. We would have crucified Pogba or any of our players if they had gone on strike or become rebellious in order to force a move so why would you want another club’s player to do the same.

A player does not have to become disgruntled and force a move in order to show he wants to move to a particular club.

In 2019 Bruno was anxious to move but when the deal collapsed he waited until 2020.

In 2008 Ronaldo wanted to move to Real his dream club but SAF convinced him to wait until 2009.

Neither of those guys forced a move to clubs they were desperate to go to so i don’t know why you expect a different approach from Sancho.

Dortmund were being unreasonable with their demands. It's different. I understand your point though

Dortmund that refused to sell Dembele even though Barca were offering 100m Euro. Dembele had to go on strike in order to force the move and that is not in every player's nature, and is even a red flag.
If a player goes on strike in order to come to your club what stops him from going on strike in order to leave your club in a couple of years.

Dortmund CEO Watzke is on record as saying Sancho's loss of form this season was because he had mentally left the club for Manchester United. This should end all this imaginary and concocted talk that he didn't want to come to United.
The more important debate is whether Sancho was worth all that trouble or not in the first place. Is he actually that good or was he just stat padding in the Bundesliga.
