What is the fate of the only Lieutenant General in the country (Lt Gen Adeosun) and all our gallant major generals?

This guy looks like a proper soldier, more than the chief of army staff but they just indirectly retired him with this big sounding but empty chief of defence staff position
Useless post!!!

Did he sack Sadique Abubakar?

That man did an intimating job as the Chief of Air Staff.

He's always in the news for building and renovating staff offices and quarters.

Yes. He was the last shining light among them.

Major General L.E.O Irabor is a RC 34 officer who attained that rank in 2014 and has served as Theatre Commander in the NE. He hails from the vicinity of Agbor in Delta State.
He takes over from General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin

retirement.. but on a serious note, I was expecting him to be the chief of defense staff.
but maybe that's how it works.
there were more than one fleet admiral service during ibok ekwe.
but I'm sure there are more reasons to it..

Long story.
Plenty things can be done without him.
He will only be relevant in policy making, inside office and ceremony.
He does not have command of troops or any commander

Irabor is a good man with a loving heart. I followed him when he was theartre commander. He was honest, humble and always informing nigerians about how he was running operations in borno. He carried everyone along especially d press. His ability to manage his men both army and airforce and all d stakeholders was amazing. He isn't ur typical nigerian arrogant soldier. I fell in love with him. Unfortunately, CDS isn't too much of a command position but let's see how it goes

TeemahBeddings:
He isn't Edo after all

I initially thought he was from Edo state that is a bini man or an Ishan man.

I was wrong he is from governor Ifeanyi Okowa area which is Agbor in Delta state.

Most Ika people from the Agbor area bear name that is thought to be from Edo state.

Besides, Igbanke is an Edo community in Edo state, but the native there speaks Ika language that is Agbor language despite the fact that they are from Edo state.

I congratulate the new Chief of Defence staff on his appointment and for flying the flag of Delta state and the Niger delta region.

We expect him to do his possible best to conquer Boko Haram given this short time that is left for the Buhari administration to wind off from governance.

Come to think of it the Buhari administration failed to appoint new service chief on time.

He kept the old guard on ground till he was personally satisfied with his mindset.

Just like a,prophesy, two years back or so,when, this man was the theatre commander in the north east, we had an argument that base on his performance, he might be the new COAS. Fast forward to when he was posted to TRADOC last year, i heard that he is going home as more, rhan two former thatre commanders were posted there, with him, and TRADOC being a retiring ground for senior officers. Alas, today LEO IRABOR IS THE CDS, SO GOOD.
