Judolisco:The idea has absolutely nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Recall also that there is no record of anyone of those healed either by Jesus Christ or His apostles falling under anything, let alone your anointings such as you have them in your churches today. Whatever is going on in those churches instead mirror what you find in a pagan gatherings where idols and spirits are worshipped through various rituals. |

Judolisco:Again, as far as Jesus Christ , the New Covenant, is concerned, there is no such thing as whooat you had in the Old Covenant. In the Old Covenant, God prescribed "annointing" using His Spirit on those He chose and we have several examples of how that only goes so far.....beginning with the Levites, and then even the Kings, many of who were appointed but did not worship God. The Spirit of God was said to live on those who were "anointed" but not in them and so they had freedom to do as they pleased. In the New Covenant however, rather than an "anointing" God instead demands a rebirth through His Spirit, implanting the Spirit of God inside of those who are born of Him .i.e. Born again. No longer are they to love according to their will but in obedience to the Will of God 24/7/365 - a complete departure from the old way that is. And unlike the Old Covenant that was sealed by a circumcision of the flesh, the New Covenant followers are sealed by the Spirit of God who abides in them and they are made new by Him as a result. If the Spirit of God lives inside of a one who is born of Him(born again) what meaning would an anointing have theren? None! 1 Like |
