On the 10th of January 2021, I was on a luxury boss travelling to Abuja. We were attacked by Fulani guys at this very place OP mentioned. Our driver was smart enough to see them on time, he had to drive faster and on the process of overspeeding, we had terrible accident with Dangote trailer while running for our dear life, many people got injured including me.
They started shooting at our vehicle and burst our car tires, driver managed to carry us to a nearby checking point. We all came down and thanking God for the escape, we all thought it is over since theres police around in their check.
Conductors nd the driver got help from other luxury bus passing for a spare of tires, they collected 3 plus our 2 spares. They started changing the tires, it took them 3 hours plus to do it. Immediately they finished fixing the tires, this Fulani bandits came and attacked the policemen and overpowered them..... it was as if they was war that night, more than 300 hundred bullets was released that night.
We all ran into a very thick forest with high mountains, some were caught, our car tires were shot again. In the process of running without light or your phone light on, I fell down on top of rocks and my injuries became very severe.
Some people were taken away into the forest by Fulani bandits.

i've always hated the north so journey to any close to any northern state is never something to wish for

i've traveled and lived in all yoruba land and igbo land but never hausa land despite my passion for touring i put my safety first cuz i know north is just too unsafe

same here o, I've lived almost all my life in the North, since I left in 2018, going back scares me, Meaning by Bus, I will have to survive the Edo highway, Okene ever threatened road and the dreaded Abuja/Kaduna highway...By flight, sounds like the worst cause after highlighting at the Kaduna Airport, my pickup will have to pass via the fulanis/Hausa Territory around Kawo(Northern Kaduna) that has recorded series of high and low profile kidnappings before crossing over to Southern Kaduna.... it's only God/Allah that would save us from this menace
