What will be the fate of us that are in possession of cryptocurrencies? Does it mean we wouldn't be able to sell them anymore?
Please let one with useful information enlighten us for urgent action.

Both NIN and this policy are likely measures by this government to check dissent within the country. NIN is to be able to identify people (hence the rush), crypo was used to side-step CBN in funding groups like the feminist coalition.

It just the response of a typical backward government, rather than give the people good governance they will rather squeeze them further to ensure no one can hold them to account.

Nigeria can never make progress with someone like Buhari in power. A very brain-dead somebody

I agree with you bro! I responded to that guy the way I did knowing his antecedents here

No your Crypto is safe with you, what this means is you can't use exchanges to withdraw back to your Naira. So to sell your crypto you have to go through someone who will buy from you and give you Naira. Not going through Luno or Patricia because they are banned from today. I suggest you get a Crypto card from Binance and you can withdraw directly with an ATM anywhere.
Damm, how can i do that

I have always said it that this government is run by insane people. How could you just wake up and make such a decision?

I won't blame them, next election, if you like collect 5000 you will get worse treatment.

Look at NIN, some idiot just woke up and made a decision without putting lots of things into consideration, so I arrive Nigeria now with no way to get a phone number. Many government decisions are never thought through.

We deserve better than what we are getting, Nigerians are smart people, we should never settle for less , mediocrity should not be an option when choosing leaders.

I apologize for being part of those that encouraged people to vote for Buhari during the first election, I encouraged over 80 of my employees in Lagos to vote for him, I thought he was the messiah. I later realized that this man really has nothing much to offer. Someone that thinks today is Monday

You were listening to stories from Tinubu and Lai Mohammed who just wanted power by all means. Many of us knew he had nothing much to offer despite knowing that GEJ was not such a wonderful leader but ha had some brilliant guys like Akin Adeshina and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala beside him

CBN want to shut business account that on Crypto bitcoin exchange in Nigeria. Fair. It only yahoo boys that sell bitcoin to third-party and it reason we have plenty of people in Nigeria turn bitcoin aboki (by app and one-one).

Bitcoin wasn't even design for third party payment. Satoshi made it for P2P - Third party provide escrow for p2p trade. All crypto and bitcoin are supposed to be exchange on DEX. But DEX aren't popular like Centra exchange now and many start up tech companies are working on it and the one that provide solutions maybe new Amazon.

Blockchain-Bitcoin innovation that starts digital industry revolution on internet. No one can shut down bitcoin as long as internet can't be shut down by anyone or govt. They can only block access thru ISP and VPN is the solution. In China people use to used VPN cos govt never allow bitcoin but at last their president supported blockchain. I can't forgot Xi pump day in Crypto market.

Elon and Jack promote Bitcoin with crazy and many individuals and entities in the western world are already working on start up program for apps - defi etc. Later they sell this to Africa and black race will always be a slave. Instead of CBN to provide regulations and Framework for this business account and empower people and company in start up of crypto industry.. CBN is doing otherwise.
I don japa since cos me and my generation must trade the billions dollars future market.

Wrong.

Infact it will drive a lot more transactions to the black market. The CBN is fighting effects rather than causes. The major cause has simply been the lack of confidence in the long term value of the Naira. If they like keep giving moronic orders, people would still rather hold dollars and crypto than Naira.
Wrong?
In the SR, eg as an importer who needs btc to buy from India between now and thursday, what will you do? You'll be forced to go through official channel pending when alternative can be device to beat this policy.
Mind you I said in the short run.

Crypto is an Avenue for scam, money laundering and also sponsoring of terrorism.

All crypto are speculation assets, it adds nothing to the economy. Also it is highly volatile.

Crypto network fees especially bitcoin are very high when sending them from one wallet to another.

Can crypto weaken the naira? I doubt, it is a digital asset..nothing more than that, cryptos are backed by currencies, without the naira or dollar, their will be no demand

So long as crypto wallets are still here only God in heaven can stop the trade

You have to send the crypto to jack..

How much did you pay for network fee to send to jack btc wallet?

I cant do the deal you did because of fraud. I need to see the person first and we must do all transaction physically with our phone.

I hate hearing stories that touch.

Banks only buy crypto to mope up the market.
