Do the wipe via recovery. Turn off then hold power button and volume up

When you change theme you should untick the aspects you don't want it to affect. Also you can set a new wallpaper via the theme app.

So i finally updated to MIUI 12 and the themes i use are not fully compatible with the new ROM any more.

Can i delete the update? Will there be side effects? I don't even notice much difference.

search for other themes and try, you can't delete the update or go back without unlocking bootloader and flashing custom rom.

Redmi 9 (EU) ROM users... MIUI 12 is out. I updated mine yesterday evening.
