My first encounter Leith this great man nearly made me have hope in one nigeria . I visited him at his ilepeju home ,...he welcomed me like a son ....I told him I was looking for a job .....he simply ask the Secretary to write a recommendation letter for me to any establishment I intend to work ....my effort was frustrated at west African milk .....Nigerian factor started playing out . I thank him for doing his part ....I wish we have selfless leaders like him....Nigeria would 've moved forward

Jakande's legacy still endure! In his time he gave us classrooms, he served us real food. His enemies termed the classrooms "poultry" but hey, we were forged in those humble huts, our destinies were molded. Today, we are men and women of intellect and rare substances because of your discretion and milk of kindness.

I remember in the early 80s while I was in pry 2 and 3. We had good teachers.

The syllabus was strictly adhered to. Education was so good.

Growing into adulthood, I later knew the Ajah road LCC recently upgraded was constructed by him.

The day I met you at the airport was a day I won't forget. Gentle and angelic. Our gaze met. I felt an immortal grace, and it left a mark. Thanks for giving us Lagos.

How can you sit there and be talking about Nigerian factor? You that went to collect a letter from a prominent person to get employment. Is that not the problem we have in Nigeria today? So what happens to the very qualified child of a poor man that cannot get a letter from a big man? No wonder we have poorly managed enterprises all over the place. Naija is truly a cursed and failed state. No hope.

The Lagos of today is different from the Lagos of the early 80s. There were inconsistencies, interruptions and abandonment during the military era.

Jakande initiated the Metro line when it was easy to construct to spread to every part of Lagos to cater for future increments in Population. Now, we have congestion.

Don't talk about people if you don't know them. I was not born with silver spoon ...infact it was a factory worker in my area that told me to visit this great man ...that himself didn't go to school yet baba gave him a letter and he was employed at nigerian breweries ....let alone a graduate like me...he even gave me transport fare to ilupeju to enable me see baba ...The amazing thing is that the man treats everyone like his children ....no discrimination .
