drLammy:There's no need quiting, they still offer good brokerage services, any brokerage house can experience same. You just have to have additional one account with another house.......same CHN though. The worrisome aspect is the lack of communication on their part. They ought to pre-inform customers and I don't expect major upgrade to occur around this time. Why not wait till there's public holiday that'll likely include weekends? Think that's just the insensitive aspect of Greenwich. 1 Like |

ebuka1997: He was a miracle worker, if you pay the right price he can make your share price to move from N10 to 40. When Access Bank wanted to buy Union Bank, instead of Barth Ebong to work on how to create wealth for shareholders. He contracted Ololo to help him defend the share price of Union Bank in order to avoid the onslaught from Aig. He also reported to CBN, NSE and SEC. At the end of the day Access Bank lost out in the bid for a hostile take over of Union. CBN and SEC asked Access Bank to sell the shares of Union Bank which they bought. The shares were sold at a loss. Access Bank suffered similar fate when the bank wanted to buy Afribank. Where is Afribank and Union Bank today? 7 Likes 1 Share |

As an investor you must wonder why they want people to leave the market now. Shine your eyes 1 Like

sellydion: 42k is a major resistance and it is normal that it wld be tested, so what is happening is normal. my take is that if 40K hold for this week close and next week close, then the ASI wld test 42 again. if it breaks 42 then the next test is 44 which is not far off so it might want to test both in one sweep. if it is able to break both then expect a very big leap and if not then it means the two year electoral cycle (downtrend) has kicked in (cc Agba). factors that cld help with breaking 42/ 44 are rate in fixed income space does not increased further from current point (e.g. NTB 1 YR/ 4%), devaluation of naira (this has an inverse relationship to ASI), better recoveries from ravages of COVID 19. Factors that cld hasten the onset of the two year electoral cycle decline are opposite of above i.e. rate in fixed income space increases further (e.g. NTB 1 YR/ 8-12%), Naira not devalued, continue struggle with COVID 19, increase in insecurity. woeful performance from major clisted coys 8 Likes |

I have seen only 2 stocks that significantly went down low to carry people. Wapco and Cornerstone. I can only mount Zenith at 20, GT at 25, no more. Members here silently targeted and loaded Wapco, but kept talking about other stocks As at yesterday, no one could fathom the direction the market would go today. Hence i could only buy for the purpose of averaging down. But with the present outlook, i don't think there would be any occasion for that. (Stream of consciousness) 5 Likes |
