He's a clown some brought up Instagram followers of some random football players even Gabriel Jesus had more followers than Tom Brady.

Because of the international market of the NBA, even NBA players are far more popular and influential than NFL players.
The superbowl final would do a 120 million views but a random Liverpool vs Man utd league game will do 700 million.

Exactly. NFL players are just popular in America. Even Serena Williams is more popular than Brady.

So Colin Cowherd had the effrontery to put this up on the internet back in 2018. Lol. Americans really think the world begins and ends with them. If he doesn't know that Ronaldo and Messi should be number 1 and 2 then he should pay more attention to sports outside America. Brady and Rogers are nice guys, but they wouldn't even be in the top 50.
It depends. Did he say in the world ? Maybe it's in the US. If the latter is true he can be justified (then*)

If it's in the US then Ronaldo and Messi shouldn't be that famous

That revenge dunk on Giannis by R. Gobert was sic! This Jazz team look really really good. My only concern is that they may have peaked too early.. Let’s see if they can keep it up. They are dangerous and can score in multiple ways especially with their perimeter scoring.

They are. Even in the US they are famous. I'm any case restricted to the US the list is not impossible.

You're saying Messi is more popular than Aaron Rogers in the US? It's possible that some Americans know the name Messi, but can they recognize him if they see him on the street?

The jazz would definitely make a big noise post season too, especially when they are 100%

Matchup. Pistons matchup well against the Celts. Even the other 2 times they played it was a close win by the Celts.

I pray their story does not end like GSW of 2015/16 because they don't have very apparent weaknesses. Brad Stevens said they remind him of Spurs of 2014. That is a huge compliment and Brad Stevens reads teams very well so I believe him.

I think I will wait until after the All Star Games to see if they continue with this streak of great performances. They also have deep scoring bench led by Clarkson who can be streaky. Q. Snyder is spoilt with options and combinations with his rotation.

Is there a better ball handler than Uncle Drew in the history of modern NBA? I dare say in the history of the game? Iverson maybe?? Kyrie is unbelievable with his command of the ball!

Because this thread is for NBA.

Sure I don't post here, but I picked up interest in basketball by following this thread.

I don't give two shits about NFL discussions, you people can create a thread for it.

Im not an nfl fan. it's not one of my sports.

but my own way of expressing LOVE AND APPRECIATION to Those that deserve it is by ALLLOWING THOSE PEOPLE ENJOY OTHER STUFFS THEY LOVE IN THEIR OWN WAYS.

If u truly appreciate what these great guys do on this thread about the beautiful game of Basketball, you would also allow them deviate to other stuffs(sports) they know about and love in their own ways.

Get my drift?

A40(Grand Lengend), Eruditor, Aliondo, Steady986, Roland17, SmooshCHN , mynd44, donlittle25, chic2pimp , etidy
to name just a few Legends down here. They have brought back memories of the game that brought tears down my eyes.

It would be very selfish of me to frown towards them enjoying other stuffs they know/love besides basketball in their own ways.

I would rather feel very guilty like I do everyday for not contributing as much as they do.

you guys on this thread are simply the best.

Love you all this Val's day.

If we're being truthful, Harden has influenced the game more than Steph has. But hey, I'm not allowed to say that.

Not true.

Sorry for taking u guy several pages behind. I'm just catching up bit late.

Durant is a better player than Steph, talent for talent wise.

But Steph had more influence than Durant on the game.

Several times, opposite teams come out with double teams to cover the outside the arc and even midcourt to stop the danger of Curry.

I don't think before Curry, opposing-teams did that so frequently.

Wait, the step-back three that the whole league now does, who made it popular? Or am I missing something here? grin To the extent that the league had to bring about the gather rule just to accommodate it. Man gerrarahere

And you had to throw in the ol' LeBron shade cheesy. Saying Curry is more influential than LeBron. The words didn't taste bitter in your mouth? And his minions had to like the post cheesy

Without LeBron in this league for the past decade or so, the sports would be as popular as the NHL. LeBron influenced the game on and off the court more than Curry would ever dream of. I'm not even arguing this with you, it's ridiculous.

Players make the match ups possible... that pistons team is dead, the best player on that team at the moment was a role lesser role player on Denver, Griffin is a shadow of his former self... the team is dead ... no matter the match up a celtic team having title aspirations shouldn't loose to this current pistons team.

The team is solid all round but if gobert gets injured, the team would be over exposed

I am with you in the some ways because of the loss. However, if you have followed the Celtics closely this season, especially over the last 6 games you should not be surprised the Celtics lost to the Pistons.
Historically, like @Android17 said, the Pistons like the Kings are a boogey team for us and that is because they match up pretty well against our rotation and best players. The Celtics struggle with team with length and power under the rim or pace in transition offense.
The Celtics have struggled with team chemistry this season with a lot of players going in and out due to injury or COVID protocol, consequently, have not even had consecutive practice days.
Finally, I think a Championship aspiration is punching above our weight. We are definitely not a Championship chasing/ caliber team.

Steph is more unique. Creating 3's by oneself in such high volume and off the dribble is incredible.

But Durant shd be the most efficient scorer since Kobe&Tracy Macgrady at their primes.

Durant is tmac 2.0. less nice. tougher minded. talks less. beefs more. This is coming from a tmac fan btw. skillwise tmac was in another league compared to kobe - he always won their head-to-head matchups. But Kobe outworked him. sometimes being naturally skilled can work against you, you learn to coast and still be good enough. yes, you can tell it still pains me till today tmac never got a ring. Shout out to tmac for his work in the sudan. will never be forgotten.

KD is a very skillful player. I like the way he plays the game, so easy and joyful to watch.
I've always argued with my neighbour about him but my neighbour is a die hard fan of LeBron, nothing I say will make him seem my points about KD.

His most popular argument is that KD is too proud lol.
I said, bro you just don't like the guy.

I think the KD - Lebron comparison is very similar to the Kobe Tmac contrast. A super talented vs a super working guy. Lebron outworks and perhaps outsmarts KD that's all: Kd is more naturally gifted ball wise.
