Totally unrelated to basketball. I was hoping this day would come and here it is.
No, it's not my wedding announcement. I never reach that stage. grin

This thread has been a blessing to me in every way possible. Kept me busy, kept me happy and kept me company through med school. NL was the first tab I open almost every morning in the last like 5/6yrs because I know this thread would help me get through the day even when my Warriors would lose by 35. Don't get me started on playoffs when I'm always writing exams. I remember rushing my papers to catch the Warriors finals vs Cavs only for Iguodala to get blocked by James. Good times sha. Thank you guys for helping me in ways you can't imagine. The semi-depressed times, everything. Thank you guys from Ersan (I have to mention him for obvious reasons grin) to everyone one. I don't want to skip anyone's name. Thank you Guys.

I was inducted yesterday and you guys were part of the journey. Still confused about what next to do cos it's Nigeria but thank you Guys. Thank you so much. cool
I could have posted a picture but yunno

ps: the Celtics are still trash and the Lakers are not repeating. thanks grin

You had to take a swipe at my Celtics, didn’t you!!! angry angryClassic @SmooshCHN!!!

Oh man I am soo happy for you and proud of your achievement. You are one hell of a smart dude and I am convinced you will succeed.

Utah jazz can't continue that form forever. It fails tonight or early this morning I should say.

Hopefully Leonard plays for the clippers

Teams better bring out their artillery to stop Joel Embiid in the playoffs. It's just a matter of health. If he's healthy then nobody's stopping him.

Said it , the jazz would be having a tough time if kawhi plays. There's still time for a comeback though.

Jamal Murray: 50 points from 25 shots, zero free throws. That has to be the most efficient 50-point game in the history of the NBA.

Hardcore baller I actually pitied the guy when he tied the game with 2 seconds remaining against the Washington wizards His 3 points shot helped erased an 11 point lead with I think 4 mins to go but that jumpy green committed a stupid foul (his second in 1min) to give the wizards the game Just 2 seconds left

He's been balling of late. He's too good to be averaging 18

Bradley Beal finally getting the respect he deserves. Some people here told me Klay Thompson was better than him. It's amazing how we always mistake good shooting for good all-round player. It's just like comparing KD to LeBron. We know KD can shoot lights out, but he'll never be a better player than LeBron in this league.

Now all Beal needs is to go team up with a legit superstar to get a shot at the championship.
What metric are you judging on? Klay is a better shooter, klay is a better defender, klay is Championship material. Not taking anything away from him He's balling hard this season but can he replicate come the playoffs?

Say what you want about Harden but few players can carry a team in the regular season like that guy. The fact that they have sorted the PG/SG roles so quickly is a pointer that the team is headed in the right direction. Because Harden can average 12 assists a game in his sleep with that lineup. Of course defenses will tighten up in the playoffs but you're definitely going to have to budget 120-130 a night to beat that team

This is like the best thing to happen to harden teaming up with KD n kyrie, not saying they'll win a chip though but harden by himself would always CHOKE when it matters most forget his regular season escapades. That's why till forever kahwi would always be ranked higher and attain legendary status as compared to the likes of harden bro.

Lol. This excuse you people always bring is getting boring. Did Klay carry his team to win the championships? Wasn't he a 2nd and 3rd option on those championship teams?

The best playoffs run Klay has had was in 2016 when he averaged 24 points. Other than that he's always averaged 20 or below. Beal has had 3 playoff runs where he averaged 23 or more. Klay averages 19.3 ppg on 123 playoff games, Beal averages 22.7 on 40 playoff games. Bear in mind that Beal has never been on the kind of teams that Klay has all his career.

Klay is a better shooter but Beal is a better scorer. Beal is also a better rebounder and a better facilitator. You can say Klay is a better defender but Beal has always averaged more steals than Klay, both in the regular reason and in the playoffs.

The man is averaging almost 33, 5 and 5 this season and we're still here comparing Klay to him. Omo, una stubborn o grin

This obstinate tendency for people to defend the players they love is something else. A player is on course to be scoring champion and here we have people saying Klay is better.

Its obvious you a casual, only a casual would compare klay and Beal and also go on to say Beal is the better player cos he's dropping more points.
For starters Beal is the No 1 scoring option on the team, John Wall was always injured, Beal was the primary scorer, primary ball handler on the team hence the stats you seeing. This season Westbrook is primarily the second scoring option on the team, but facilitates when he plays wait its just like comparing steph and Westbrook.

This is like saying Klay can be compared to Harden (when he was in Houston) because Harden is the number one scoring option and Klay is not. That's not a very bright argument. That Beal is a number one scoring option and Klay isn't should be a plus to Beal. Can Klay be a number one scoring option and primary ball handler on any team?

And only a casual would say that Klay is a better player just because he's a better shooter. That was how they fooled us into thinking that Steph was better than LeBron because he could shoot the lights out. It only took one more playoff series for them to realize that it takes more than just shooting the lights out to be called the best.

I warned you not to get drawn into a senseless argument. Imagine a player that averaged 20 as a 3rd scoring option to KD and SC. Will Brad Beal not be a 3rd scoring option if he is on the same team with those players? The same people who want to bring ppg into an argument will run away soon as anyone else brings same ppg arguments about KD and Bron. By the way, "people fooled us to believe SC was better than Lebron" is a deflection into another argument because they have run out of facts in this present one. There is nobody who was not trolling that ever said so. Just like no one ever said Giannis was a better player than Lebron even when he won MVP. The guy you are responding to literally pulls evidence out of his behind. I know you are honorable enough not to argue with someone's ar$e.

Man, it's like I'll start taking the Suns seriously o cheesy There's something CP3 always brings to a team, instant elevation, even at 35. But unfortunately his teams fall short when it matters most because they're not good enough to compete with the best. We go dey use one eye dey watch these Suns sha.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:13am On Feb 21
Bradley Beal 37 points and the win against Portland. It's almost as if this guy can score 30 in his sleep. The Wizards are slowly racking up those wins. 10-17 now. In the east anything can happen grin
