me and my wife cant work same time, she worked and I was a house husband, I found a better job, she resigned and became a house wife, few years I will retire then she starts any business of her choice while I return to house husband.

if my wife sees a paying job that pays more than what I make today, I will resign so she works. I do enjoy staying at home and control the ATM especially now that I have what to fall back to. My kids has never attended school lessons, dot 2pm the car is at the gate for pick up. I pity kids who stay till 5pm just because the parents are both working. I asked the proprietor what they teach after school that they cant teach during school hours and he told me parents demand for it because of their job. Do we ever think of the impact on kids and their future, I CANT LEAVE MY KIDS FOR STRANGER.

She does not have to work oooo, her money can work for her generating cash flow.

With the internet a lot of Architects, graphic designers and other self employed professionals are making millions of Naira from home

From an economic perspective this sounds ok.................... but from a primal perspective I don't support women working,They are the root cause of all problems in modern work place, Men generally are hierarchical with all being comfortable with his place in the Hierarchy but once women show up in workplaces the natural cause of things change......................... This things are hard to quantify in terms of money and material stuffs, but when values like respect, trust, friendship and community building are at stake please forget women, they got their place in the scheme of things but not what the modern world is trying to force us to swallow

This is a very funny comment grin grin grin

She doesn't have to work.

Let her get her personal money.

Nothing bad if you build an investment property that will be in her name, and she will know that the rental income from the property belongs to her

Maybe because of my background my late grandma built her own house, 23 years after she died the property still generates a rental income of about N5 million every year.

My mother built her house and has her Investments, my wife has her house and her Investments.

Men should support and encourage their wives to be financially independent.

Hello experts. I saw a post on some upcoming tbills. I would love to invest in it. Your guide will be highly appreciated. It's 450k I have, please lemme know if it's feasible. Thank you.

TBills rates are still low for now. I will advice you keep the money in VGIF which allows you to top up while waiting for better TBills rates. As soon as rates become favorable you can move your funds to Tbills. VGIF currently is 4.5% and there is every likelihood of increase because the CBN may want to look at the possibility of increasing MPR judging from the current inflation rate.
Just an advice. Do your due diligence.

That’s why man pikin wey get family must strive to own his or her own house, no matter how small. So that one won’t be at the mercy of Naija landlords and their various rules and requirements.

Walahi, common man dey suffer for Naija o grin

Real suffer.

There is a staff we employed two years ago. She was working and then stopped when she got married in order to take care of the children because the husband was also working and both leave home very early and come back very late.

The kids are grown now and in boarding schools and so she applied to us for a job and we took her. If that woman and her husband be Oga Emma tenant, he for quick quick give them quit notice.

If i was also Oga Emma tenant, na so he for give me quit notice too because my wife started work when our kids entered boarding schools. cheesy

So funny, the only way the middle class think you can get income is solely by having a 9 to 5 job. What happens to enterpreneurship, small businesses, part time job of 15 hours to 20 hours per week, working from home, Investments, passive income etc.

It is the same way that some landlords and some people think that if a wife does not leave the house every morning, she is a full housewife. I know of a woman who was intentionally dressing up and leaving the house every morning so that people will not say she is a full time housewife even though she was doing some business that did not require leaving the house every day.

Yes per annum and it's paid biannually- July and January.
Investors still stand a chance of getting extra income in addition to the guaranteed 4.5%.
This has been the case for more than six years and still counting.

Dangote's daughters are not full time house wive, they earn huge passive income. Their husbands can't be the sole provider.

Even Jim Ovia's wife is not a full time house wife, she has real estate scattered everywhere earnings hundreds of millions if not billions of Naira every year. I learnt she is the landlady of Civic Center Victoria Island Lagos.

If you truly love your wife, you won't want her to be totally dependent on you.

The keyword here is a woman who makes her own money, if the income is passive and substantial the better

Let Inflation meet your Money Working

Even if inflation rate is increasing let it always meet your money in a reasonable investment; it helps no matter how bad the economy is doing.

To maintain your normalcy as the landlord, the man should have a steady 9 to 5 job, the wife must have an income which can also be from a full time job, part time job, business, trading, Investments etc
