I mean is it not obvious that both the political, religious, traditional, etc. leaders in the north are all in this quest of cashing out with this level of insecurity in the north? I mean religious and political leaders meeting with armed mend with sophisticated weapons in broad daylight and yet, our military intelligence claimed they can’t locate them? .... Show me a picture where a political or religious leaders in the south meeting with armed men like this....

An Islamic cleric is ordering federal govt that the only way criminals who kidnap, rape and kill people would accept ceasefire is to give them an UNCONDITIONAL blanket amnesty.


Unconditional means no strings attached. Govt cannot demand they surrender guns in exchange for the amnesty. Govt cannot arrest any of them. They cannot be prosecuted for atrocities committed.

Open amnesty means, if they opt to return to terrorism a new negotiation deal will be required for the new ceasefire. Meaning they can choose to return to crime at will in order to make new demands. Also, because it is open, it means the agreement does not stop at end of Buhari regime. The deal is with FG, regardless who heads govt, Buhari or not.
