Thank you.
After WES conversion, my GPA: 3.54
GRE: 315
TOEFL: 117
And I'm going directly from UG, though I graduated in 2014

Hannania:
Wow, congratulations. Do you mind stating your profile? Things like GRE score, TOEFL and possibly CGPA. Also direct from UG or with a masters. Thanks, and once again congrats

Some one just informed me that visa interview dates for September is almost filled up and for one that has to start classes in Fall 2021 (August precisely), he has to book on emergency basis. Please how true is this. For persons that tried getting dates recently kindly confirm this.

I have been admitted to vandy for fall21. I was hoping dates would be available until late July. Biko, Can anyone confirm this?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by kastgeraldino: 3:26pm On Feb 20, 2021
This is most likely not true. The person is confusing student visa date with other kind of visas' date. People are still getting visa dates for even May.

More dates would open up as time goes on. Congratulations on Vanderbilt, I'm sure it came with full ride.

In Abuja the current available dates now are from November. I was shocked when I saw this. But I know they will move the dates back may be soon.

Hi I'm new here and don't even know where to start from
I don't have an interview date yet but I want to be prepared on questions that will be asked and how to respond. I'm going for MSC in medical physics(is this a good idea or is community health better? I like both and I have a bsc in physics). So please I need help on how to prepare for my interview. Thank you

I applied for PHD Urban Studies (GSU), yet to hear from them. Fingers crossed on my application. I got 3 rejections already, GSU is the only pending application I have left. I really pray it works out.

Anyone going to GSU this fall?

Don't worry they'll give you in Jesus name, i can't tell you not to have anxiety over your admission status because i had it too while waiting for mine, and i must tell you that this fall admission was bloody, maybe because most schools that waived GRE based their admission on CGPA in place of GRE and hence your CGPA needed to be very high most time to convince them for admission, hence my advice to you are these:
1. check gradcafe to see if they've issued out admission, to know your stand
2. If they have ( or they've not), mail the admission officer to kindly let you know your admission status in order to know your next plan.
You'll hear good news in Jesus name and your efforts will not go to waste.

What important is that you tell the truth...

married people are given visa and some are told no same with unmarried, some get some dont

Please Mr @fairheart and all experienced NL,
I need to know if a married person going for study with a fully funded PhD scholarship(full tuition waiver + research assistantsip stipends) can be given visa to go with the spouse and kids together? Do we need to show proof of funds(POF) for the family? How much for a family of 5(parents and 3 kids)?

or is it better for the person to go alone first while the dependants(spouse and kids) joins later? Like how many months later please? And its POF also applicable in this instance as well?

Thank you all.

I sent am email to the grad program coordinator, and he said the week of 15th (which was this past week), is the speculative time for admission decisions to be sent out, but as at friday, nothing. I will send another email by monday to know where I stand. God knows I've never felt this kind of heartbreak before. I feel so heavy. As per gradcafe, I've never seen anything on GSU's Urban Studies Program there. Maybe because its a relatively new program that was started 2 years ago. My profile: GRE q151, v157, a3.5, toefl slrw 29,29,29,28 (116), bsc 3.12/4, msc 3.5/4, work experience of 5 years in a federal parastatal.
Thank you for your kind words.

Hello, good morning house. Has anyone here been recently admitted to the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado, Boulder for a Full Time MBA degree program, Summer 2021? Please I need clarifications and information about the school's admission processing. Thank you.

Good day sir,
I must say you have a relatively competitive profile. It's surprising to have 3 rejections already, May I ask, did you apply to "safe" schools?
Safe schools are schools that are less competitive, and one would most certainly get an admission if you meet their basic requirements.

In stating this, don't feel heartbroken, this journey is for the strong, and relentless. The deadline for applications of some schools still fall within March. What that means is that you have a chance to still filling applications. Review your statament of purpose, check wat might be your foibles and replace them with your idiosyncrasies. Confirm from your referrals are you sure they are providing spectacular recommendations? If you need to change some please do. In recapitulation, have a holistic review of your profile, and apply to more schools. Fall 2021 is still very attainable, and it's in your hands.

I wish you well.

I guess that was the mistake I made. I just applied to schools that I felt had a strong research emphasis on the field I wanted to pursue, not minding if they are safe or not. The only relatively safe school I can point at on my list is GSU. The other 3 I applied to are: Ohio state University (City and Regional Planning), UC Irvine (Sociology), CUNY (Sociology). I hope I can pick myself up and apply to other schools, but i feel dejected and rejected already.
Many, Many thanks for your comforting words.

Sadly, there are no more early interview dates

And embassy is not approving emergency dates or interviews

All days from March-October are all booked up

The earliest date is November

Those going for Fall 2021 semester are not affected.

But those going for Spring and Summer semesters

Sorry guys cry

Contact your graduate school coordinator and defer your admission to Fall 2021 then quickly go and book your interview for November, because if care is not taken, November will be filled up too.

I know you mean well but except you work inside the embassy please state that this is just your observation

It might be that this is correct for now, but who knows if this changes tomorrow or the next. Students just have to keep checking

The only reason why I say that is so nobody stops checking and ends up not realising if more dates are added

I don’t work for the embassy but I got the Info from a very trusted source.

Hint: I do visa / study abroad runs for people who can afford my fee.
I can’t say further than this.

I wish all prospective students the best of luck
