Very simple and basic Elementary physics, the extra energy for the fan to increase it's speed is from where??

The higher the rate of combustion the increased in fuel pumped into the injector.

I always laugh when you say with AC ur fuel does not consume more fuel...

But if your engine is good, You might not notice it because the compressor picks at intervals
It actually consumes more fuel with AC on compared to if AC is off (and windows are not rolled down).
Most people come to the bolded conclusion because once AC is off they will have to wind down, and the drag on the vehicle replaces the pressure that AC would have put on the engine so fuel consumption remains almost the same

I gave you something to do, turn on your ignition don't start car and switch on the fan and see if it won't work
Yes that load is on the battery, once the engine starts it automatically transfers to the engine. Why do you think the headlights are brighter when the engine is running compared to when the engine is off, especially if the battery is already on it's way back to heaven

If you've this kind of mindset then no wonder why you're still driving as a bolt driver.

The last crime I checked a driver was killed and his car was found in Benin after 1month. Happened in Ajah.

Another was shot in the eyes at Ojuelegba under bridge.

Another was beaten and his car taken away fr9m him in Ajah

Should I go on?

But God no go shame us. We shall never be victims of circumstances. Amen

You see Felicity, thats why I do everything within my power to prevent those things from happening to me then I leave the rest to God.

For example, a man I carried yesterday called to say he needs to be at the airport by 6am tomorrow and wanted me to pick him up.

The only way that will be possible was if I leave my house by 4:30am so I declined and connected him with someone else who lives close to him.

I start my work on weekdays by 7:30am and close between 8 and 9pm. Those things you mentioned are less likely going to happen to any driver who works within Lagos during that time frame.

The same cannot be said for those who travel outside Lagos and those who work late into the night.

. Oga physics teacher, does your refrigerator at home also consumes fuel like your car ac system does?

Car AirCon draws power from the Compressor which in turn draws power from the alternator which is power by the engine.

Now I will be brief with some simple physics here you rolling your window down while driving at a higher speed allows more air into the car which causes drag, the main point is look for a big nylon and hold the two top and start running with it you will certainly feel some draw back right and you have to hold with pressure so the air dragging it with you wont take it out of your grip right,
Get a twig and blow some air into the nylon and prolly close the opening with twig and start running with it and you will never experience any drag.

Most cars today are more fuel efficient when the ac is on than when you roll down the window.

Your AC will only start dragging the engine when you change from VDC to ladipo exert own.

In conclusion your ac does nor consume more fuel in a perfect instance.

You're doing well.

But please the main argument here is whether the load on a compressor increases when you increase the speed of the Fan. From 1 to 2, 3, 4.
And whether increasing the speed of the fan also increases fuel consumption.

Na here my interest dey.

You might need to epp her. But on a serious note why do riders prefer to transfer than just use their card ? 99% of cash trip now , na transfer and it’s so annoying. One guy was trying to transfer money on broad street and it’s 700 naira. What rubbish, I had to give account no and zoom off. I will rather loose money to rider than pay Lastma or cbd.
me am a big fan of transfer oo...
reasons are that by that way..
m kinda saving the money from all this unnecessary spending..

n i won't be arguing and talking to rider abt change...

my only issue is the little extra time it takes to make the transfer ...
rider will still be using my ac after i don end trip

Boss it doesn't just a fan controlling unit. So if you increase you standing fan from lowest to highest does it consume more electricity

By the way the issue of regular fan and AC is somehow different, it's the speed of the fan under the evaporator that increases not the one outside ( the condenser fan)

Bruv see eeh wen the fan speed is at 1 the ratio in which the ac condenser kicks in is 10seconds Ac then 10 seconds no Ac i.e just air, then at speed 2 its 20 seconds to 10sec at speed 30 sec to 10sec.

What i just explained above can only be noticed if u are very observant when driving and better still u can watching d condenser from the engine compartment.

This Explain how the engine consume more fuel at different Fan speed. But the difference is negligible if ur car is in good condition.

The analysis i made above might be different between car manufacturer oo, what i explained is what i noticed about my own car and that was last year during that corona virus time wen boredom wan wound person for ous grin

This are the kind of days I pray for.

Set out this morning as early as 5am to take an offline client to Local airport fro my side (Ilupeju), trip was less than 14mins. Guy gave me 3k.
I blew down to Gra as it was still very early to chill smwhere when a trip entered, destination was berger buststop. I got to the hotel and notified the guy.
He came out after like 10mins with 2 luggages,I started trip and confirmed destination again.
The man said berger bus stop but if I can take him to ibadan he won't mind( For my mind, I say wetin be my job again). We begin negotiate price. This man agreed 30k based on Yankee returnee and I am to just drop him off at tollgate ibadan, where they will be waiting to pick him up.
But the devilish siblings in ibadan insisted 30k was too much and told him to price me down.
We agreed on 25k. I dropped him off at ibadan and got back to lagos at exactly 10am.

Started d days hustle and is still netted 7k b4 3pm.
Home now resting.....

Had similar outing Saturday. Came out pretty late(5:15pm). I got a request from around Diamond estate to 1004; rider is German. Trip ended 4,600 rider gave me 5k.

Another ride request entered immediately: Eko hotel to lekki phase 1. As riders entered they saw a phone, my first rider had forgotten his phone.

Several min later forgotten phone rang:

Caller:"please my friend lost his phone
Me: phone is with me, will bring it later
Caller: okay

Several min past, again forgotten phone rang

Caller: please are you coming?
Me: was on a trip but I am on my way to you
Caller: please don't take any more trip we'll pay you for your time, just start coming

Got to 1004

Rider: how much is your money
Me: just give me anything
Rider: my initial fair is 5k so I'll give you 5k
Me: thank you

Got home, around 12am, my phone rang (same German rider)

Rider: please can you pick someone from marine beach NPA HQ and bring him to 1004
Me: I live far from apapa won't be able to make it
Rider: how much will you take
Me: its late not sure it will be possible. Why not book another ride
Rider: its past 12am the apps ain't working
Me: if you can do 20k I might try
Rider: 20k is too much. How about 10k
Me: sorry sir can't do for 10k but if you're able to pay 15k I'll go
Rider: 15k is still much [hanged up]

Several minutes later my phone rang
Rider: send me your account details I'll send you the 15k

Before long I got an alert for 15k. Funny thing though, I got to pu and called the person I was suppose to pick up but his phone was switched off. Called the German guy to tell him, he said I should give him a min he'll get back to me let him try.

Some mins later German guy called to say he tried calling the person but couldn't reach him. He pleaded with me and told me to go back home that I could use the money for my weekend.

Na so I face house. Got home to 2am. Gave security man 5h and police I met on the way 3h. From just one person I made 25k. And I came out around 5pm.

Night work dey sweet!

Let’s all be open minded mbok and stop dis attitude that other ppl input does not make sense.

We all have experiences at various degrees and we can’t just all throw that away cos of some one’s opinion.

We are not in school anymore but in real life.
And experience teaches u better knowledge.

It’s now left for us to take urs and discard ours or the other way round.

Is not a accept mine only and urs does not make sense or count attitude.

This forum is to share ideas and experiences so that we all learn from them.

Even no be wetin den teach us for school we de see for real life and no be wetin car manufacturer write few of the time be wetin we de see in real life.
