Like I earlier said on a similar thread, constitutionally, muslim students have the right to wear hijab in a govt owned christian sch, but the reality on ground is that, govt owned muslim schools in Ilorin would not tolerate christian students to have fellowship [FCS] in their schools. Now, why should christian schools tolerate the use of hijab? If Kwara state govt wants to be fair in this situation, as they are enforcing the use of hijab in all gov't owned schools, they should as well pass the law that all christian student should be allowed to have fellowship in all gov't owned muslim schools. That's fairness and religious tolerance!

I attended Muslim school and Fellowship is allowed

We keep dwelling on mundane issues allowing real problems unattended. There are islamic schools that approve wearing of hijabs. Take your kids there if that is your criteria of what a good school is. Leave the mission schools for those it was meant for. Case closed.

They refer to someone not belonging to their faith as "INFIDELS"
But they like associating themselves with these so called infidels because they just cannot catchup with the successes if these infidels.

Government schools are for all, Christians or Muslims.

The best thing is for the government to ban any religious activity, Christianity or Islam.
Anyone who wants to practise any religion should do that under his/her father’s roof. After all, Nigeria is a secular nation the last time I checked
You've said the truth. However, Nigerians are already brainwashed to put religion ahead of reason, so that will never happen and the rat race will never end.

Commonsense questions to ask is was the grant used to build the schools or to cover recurrent cost 47 years ago?
I never realized partially covering recurrent cost of a property maintenance can transfer its ownership. This move should be resisted by all Christian schools around including those not affected by this yet because if they succeed with this demonic takeover, they will use the covido palliative to make inroad into all school that enjoyed the cash transfer to staff members.

Can my neighbor who charges phones in my house after fueling my gen for one night or week use that as excuse to become a stakeholder in my generator or my life?

nobody us forcing hijab on students, the government only pronounced what is know to law, its every Muslim fundamental right backed up by various court pronouncement.

You raised some valid points but I disagree with your conclusion sir. Hijab should not be enforced on any schools be they private or public, christian-owned or otherwise, nor should christian fellowship be allowed. These kids are in schools to learn and we have all agreed that Nigeria is a secular state. If education is part of governance and the government is supposed to be running a secular state, why shouldn't our educational institutions focus solely on academic and related areas rather than distracting students with religion. What then is the purpose of our countless churches and mosques all over? BTW, I am a muslim.
what you guys do not understand is that hijab is not a form of worship in school but rather a right. As you can't say people/students should only wear pants to school. you can't deny Muslim women the right to hijab for whoever wants to wear it.

You haven't answered my question bro, Nigeria is a secular nation right? Everyone has the right to dress in his own way, moreover, the Muslim schools in kwara state (a Muslim state) don't force Christian students to wear hijab, why should the Christian schools be forcing Muslim students to pull off hijab? If you're to be logical you should know you're the ones being mischievous here.
As for your last point/question, because your mind has registered it that way, that's how you'll always see it, we saw wike demolishing a mosque last year claiming rivers is a Christian state you never opened your mouth to criticise him, but now, it's a Muslim that's involved it's violence, sense no go kee you my brother.

You are wrong brother. We need to learn to be objective, the use of hijab shouldn't be a problem, its a modest way of dressing in Islam, moreover Christians are not forced to wear it, but Muslim students are encouraged to dress decently, why should a decent dressing become an issue? I attended my secondary school at ilorin there is No school that doesn't have both MSS or CSF you can confirm this, including Ansarudeen.

I like the way you present your words, except that I think you are unaware of some facts as regards Muslim government schools in Kwara.
My question, how many Christians attend Muslim government schools in Kwara? Practically none in most. Few that have Christians in the other local governments were not prevented from having Christian fellowship. Though you may say they were not allowed to build church, but they have classes they were using. I attended Mount Carmel College, Ilorin. As a Muslim, we were not allowed to build our mosque, we were given an open space where we use tent on every Friday. We tried to build mosque from our personal contributions, and the management removed it.
If Christians in Muslim government schools were not allowed to organize fellowship, you would have heard noise about it in the media. I trust CAN for that.

You are correct about Mount Carmel College, Ilorin. That was obtainable during my time there.I was in the class of 93. My question about all these brouhaha is what is bringing up these demands, these schools have been operating this way since inception and some of the leaders in Ilorin right now attended those schools. It was the standard put in place by the missionaries and their academic prowess that made the muslim parents send their wards there. Being a grant aided schools does not authmatically make them government schools. If the ownership status is court, all parties should maintain status quo until final determination of the supreme court. Why are the politicians playing games with education.

My question is this; Did any group request to hold fellowship or Christian activities in muslim schools or make demand to government and they all decline? Why would christians deny muslims the practice of their religion or vice versa when Nigeria constitution says otherwise. Where is tolerant we crave? When the colonial masters were using our resources to propagate Christianity across Nigeria in the name of "western education" we all tolerated it. In the name of peace and harmony let us embrace and tolerate ourselves whether Christians, muslims, jews and free thinkers.
