I'm in dire need of a cheap apartment anywhere on the island (Ajah, obalende etc).

A cheap shared apartment is also welcomed.
I would be staying from Mondays to Thursdays only.

Please kindly send a dm or quote me if you have one.

Thanks.

Life after graduation is not easy. Whether you studied a professional or non--professional course, you will suffer after school, but those that studied professional courses has a better chance of securing job in the labour market.
I repeat, life after school is not easy. This is not Nollywood. What you see on Nollywood is rare in reality.

While on campus, you can discover your gift and work hard to avoid suffering after school. Don't depend on people but rely on God. Hustle as a student, do business, organize campus fellowship to win souls, contest elections. Just engage in something that brings money because when you go broke, nobody will help you.
Academics won't give you money. It is better to try something and fail than not trying at all. If you contest election and lose, it teaches you something which political science cannot teach you. People are hungry, so they don't care about your manifesto or vision, if you don't help them financially, you will lose election or anything you are fighting for.

Don't wear expensive clothes to impress people because nobody really care about your appearance. You can use the money for expensive clothes to better your life. You don't need to be buying plenty clothes, you can manage the little you have, iron it and wear.
Learn from your father's mistakes, don't associate with people that never liked your father. If they never liked your father, they can never like you.

Don't allow yourself to be used without a reward. Before David accepted to kill goliath, he asked the people what shall be done for the man who kills Goliath. David wanted to make sure there is a reward before accepting the task.

If I mistakenly accept a job that doesn't fetch money, I instantly lose interest in that job and I won't put my energy in such useless Job.

This post reeks of pessimism. Any informed person will get what he wants. A Korean told me that Nigeria is full of opportunities infact, Nigeria is the easiest country to make millions overnight, but we are just blind. Stop discouraging people, any determined graduate will make it.

Graduates and youth whose parents are flamboyant and rich won't relate to these. But op has said enough to youth struggling, embrace your reality and contribute your quarter to the system and hope next generation don't have it hard like u did

I remember how much I went thru shortly after graduation I want you to know something, coming out of whatever school with a piece of paper does not guarantee you an automatic employment in a third world country like Nigeria.

Certainly, everything is though, though time don't last, tough people do. Are you though enough to go and learn a trade, a skill in buying and selling or marketing ?. I expect before graduation you should not think of only getting a paid job. You already closed up yourself to an option, think of other options to grow your own business.

Go out there and seek professional help, okay now what do you have passion for?. What will you love to learn within a space of 8month?.

As you work to learn what you have passion for, you begin to develop financial intelligence and this what school never taught many of us ( money) think of options, if you can secure a job fine, if you cannot learn a trade or go into buying and selling, sales, and marketing.

My university was full of struggle, some of my colleagues will be having fun during the weekend while I will go and hustle during, although it makes me comfortable and independent, I was able to acquire the necessary skills, phone repair, barbing, computer software, reading outside my school curriculum, personal assistant I tested it all and did great with them... I contest for an election in my college and still lost, wrote my exams, and had one carryover rewrote it and passed... School passed through me and I'm proud to say it...

Life is difficult but it never stop me from improving, I acquired new skills, upgraded my phone skills, up my game in barbing and computer software after I graduated even though ASSU kept me at home for a years plus but I'm grateful I will be going to service this year and i have vouched that my allowance will add to my way out of poverty, I have never worked a salary job and I don't intend to cuz I planning to open my own business after NYSC.. I'm not waiting for anyone.

I have never stop improving, I read books, I hustle... I still have nairaland to thank more especially Redpills which has open my eyes to know the bitter truth... Life after graduation is hard but as long as you have your own standard and build upon it without fear or favor, you will definitely make it, I know where am heading to, the road might be rough but I will definitely passed through it....

Don't forget the most important of all, love God and love yourself.... Peace! smiley

The truth is their are no jobs to go round. so please hide your certificate and enter the street. Hustle like you never went to school.

If you will keep pride aside you will definitely find what to do. Example;

1. Learn to code,
2. Tailoring
3.POS
4. Phone charging business
5. Extra lesson centre or run a maths cafe
6 teach musical instruments
7.learn to produce music
8 learn how to run a barber shop
9.learn a to drive earth moving machine
10 learn welding
11. run a mini business centre in a university
12. enrolled as a apprentice with a Igbo trader

By all means wake up in the morning and get going. Do the available until the desirable comes by.
