Good morning everyone. Please I want to ask people that have traveled and booked their 3 days compulsory hotel before departure how they did it with this minimum of $100/day law. Any helpful information will be appreciated. Thank you
You would have to get a dollar card as it's only credit card that's acceptable our naira debit card would not work and it's not acceptable as the payment is Prepaid which you will have to pay immediately you book with your card details so get a dollar card and fund your Dormicilliary account for it

1. Your age won’t affect
2. Not compulsory but if you want to go through the NSE route then yes you will need to write it.
3. Calculate your fees, add living expenses and and just make sure you have a tidy amount.
Yes, you can use a sponsor.
A tidy sum that will show that the person is capable of paying your fees.
For the sponsor, Letter of sponsorship, the persons employment details, employment letter, documents to show and establish your relationship,

If you read through the thread, you will see a list of documents needed.

Kindly find time to go through the thread. It will help you.

Hello.. good morning to the gurus in the house. I have been a reader and appreciate all the info here. I would like to ask a few questions;

How long does background check last? Does it update to complete?

Also how long does eligibility last?

I submitted my application on the 4th of march and biometric on the 7th of March, background check started same day and has been like that.

Eligibility started 2 days later and has also been like that. Meanwhile I submitted upfront medical and my portal is saying I dont need medical for now.

Is my application going well at all?

Yes

Please house I need someone to analyze my proof of fund for me as it is draining me as I want to sound very convincing in my sop.

Currently I have an amount of 16,724. 81 Canadian dollars this about a total 5.5 million naira in my bank statement.

Breakdown are as follows,
4 million naira is a gift from my husband supporting my education.
1. 5 million naira is my own savings

I have paid part of my tuition remaining unpaid amount is about 1 million naira.

The duration of my course is 1 year 4 months and I am self sponsoring.

I am also going to attach my pension bank statement which is about 2.1 million naira.

The lump sum gift for my husband, I am attaching the receipt for the transaction and also letter from my husband.

I also have a land as an asset

Is it necessary to include a document or letter ascertaining my mum will take care of my baby in my absence? ( baby will be 1 year by June)

Please house is this amount ok for my proof of fund from my analysis and how do I sound convincing on my sop about this my fund?

Ejo! Please help analyze as I am feeling d fund is inadequate but that is what I have

@NorthernshoreTS: Thank you.

It is compulsory for someone to register IELTS?

I keep doing the exams and my overall score still remains 5.5
IELTS is not a pre-requisite when applying for a Study Permit. It only comes into play when applying through the NSE route (even that isnt cast in stone as there have been folks here who submitted only the MBS requirement for NSE as well as those who submitted English waiver letters, IELTS scores lower than 6.0 band etc and some of them still got approved)

My 2 cents is this; go ahead and apply for the study permit. If you are invited to apply through the NSE route by the embassy, submit the MBS and your IELTS (even with the 5.5 band).

But I'm only a rookie so let us hear from the Rabbis in the house.

Please I'll like to know which exchange rate the VO's use to know if the amount in an applicants account is enough to cover the tuition fee and cost of living? Is it black market, bank rate or what?

They use the royal bank of Canada official rate which is almost the same with CBN rate, they don't use unofficial rate as the black market rate for conversion

Good day, I am confused about the the addition of transcript to requirements for study visa.

My university ONLY sends transcript to organisations. Does this mean I’d request for it and it would be sent straight to the embassy ?

Can WES send the copy they have with them because it took months before WES got the transcript used for school application.

Just got my passport back from VFS Lagos.
Used UPS (2-way for N3900) on my street (Victoria Island, Lagos) on 1/03/2021.
My passport got to VFS on 3/03/2021.
Started getting their notifications back and forth.
Passport came back today 16/03/2021 @1PM.
I didn't call or email VFS even once.
Everything went on smoothly.

KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE GUYS.

IT WILL DEFINITELY END IN PRAISE FOR ALL OF US.

I will drop my profile soon.

I believe you can request that WES provides a copy of their Credential (transcript) Assessment to you for your Study Permit Application.

Thank you so much, I really do appreciate.
I guess NSE is for all academic routes (MSc, PhD, diploma, postgrad certificate etc.) that’s what I think. I got the NSE request in Dec but I had a family emergency that period so I couldn’t write the IELTS neither could I provide my parents MBS too. To be very honest, I am currently running an online IELTS class thinking I wasn’t going to get the visa (since I graduated with a 2.1 and applying for a diploma, according to what I’ve read here, no academic progression). But I just thank God. But if you have an opportunity to write the IELTS and also provide MBS of your sponsor, that’s really good, if not, you’re still good to go as long as you provide all the necessary documents.
It will def end in praise.

Thank you so much. I already wrote the IELTS so if I do get the NSE invite...I am ready for it. If you don't mind, how old are you? I am 24 and graduated in 2016 and wondering how much that will have an impact? congrats again!

I read your SOP. I noticed you kept complaining and talking about how bad things are in Nigeria. You kept repeating the fact that health and safety practices in Nigeria is very terrible in about 4 different paragraphs. You also told them about the poor internet in Nigeria. If there's anything I've learnt from reading through this thread, it's "Don't talk down on your country." I guess, this sent the wrong message. Can you share the purpose of the refusal on your second application?

Also wait for the Gurus to analyze this better.

I talked about the bad internet services base on the fact that i have commenced with the program here in nigeria and the internet hitches wasnt helping my situation, as a way of letting the VO know that know how serious i have been taking my studies not withstanding how bad the internet has been.

the refusal reasons were:
- the VO was not convinced that i will return to my country base on my purpose of visit
- that my proposed studies is not reasonable in light to one or more: my qualification, previous study, level of establishment, language ability, future plans and prospect.
- the Vo was not satisfied that i will return to my country base on my personal asset and financial status.
