You continue to show deep stupidity with every single comment. Not only have you exposed yourself as illiterate, you are making it worse by being a violent ignoramus.

Lastly, I was on my own when you mentioned me first. grin Like I said, you continue to expose your foolishness to millions of people.

FOOOL!
Lol. All I see is the rant of a typical, miserable, ignorant bitch. Bye.

Not a fan of any of these useless Nigerian artists but OP, there is no way you can convince me that this thread has nothing to do with Davido..this is just plain dumb...childish, and downright stupid to open a thread after a couple of Nigerians win it and to make it worse, the answers you give to most of the responses basically shows where you are coming from

why don' we just celebrate all we have and just move on. I don't like any of em but I bet you, I will praise all of them whenever hear anything worthy about them rather than just show your disdain for someone who has maybe was lucky or not but you can't deny their appeal likewise Davido

Nigerians and their empty, stupid, unjustified egotistical negativity. Bla Bla Bla. Who are you to ask this stupid question - are the Grammys worth the hype? What in your godforsaken country is what any hype?

The Grammy award is recognised as the most prestigious musical awards in the world. In the world. Yet a Nigerian nonentity would come out and say ehen, and so what? In a country where nothing works. Very provocative bunch of idiots.

I was expecting Nas to be all over the media celebrating this Grammy but he never did. That is to say that Grammy does not defined them or their crafts.

Nas won the Grammy Award for this first time in his life after many years in the industry and he is still yet to post or talk about it on his SM

Nas is onto bigger things than boasting about Grammy.

His investment in Ring turned to tens of millions, he was an early investor in Lyft and and early investor in Cõinbase which is about to launch on stockexchange valued at $100bln and almost make Nas a billionaire.

Na hungry men dey celebrate grammy

An award that choose Ryan Lewis and Macklemore for Best Rap Album the same year Kendrick Lamar dropped Good Kid Maad City cannot be a measure of quality.

Imagine them choosing that gay ass guy over Kendrick.

Nigerians are too competitive with everything, I see nothing wrong with this post just people having negative comprehension
Grammy award is good, it’s a great milestone for any artist but doesn’t define everything, just like banging first class
Doesn’t mean ppl which doesn’t get one won’t succeed in life, doesn’t even mean the first class ppl are better academically and sometimes it might be

I’m happy burna, wiz, tiwa, femi and made won
It’s natural if we happy and celebrate it tho this not the first time a Nigerian will win one but because the artist are more popular the stuff will be more obvious

But no need to celebrate it with immaturity and start painting other artist from ur same country bad because of the award coz they didn’t get one
It’s just grace ...that’s all

Award means a prize or other mark of recognition given in honour of an achievement.

Why the hype on Grammy Awards?

The way we Africans see and do things always got me puzzled.
We see Grammy Award as god. I'm not in anyway hating those who won. But how me celebrate this Grammy is what I don't understand.

In America. Most American acts don't see Grammy as anything.
I remember one rapper who was given a Grammy Award and he rejected it.

Last year an American rapper pee on a Grammy Award (something most Africans see as god)
Few hours ago another American rapper took to his Twitter to write F88k Grammys.

These people a different way of reasoning I don't know if it's because of their environment because environment can't influence one's reasoning.

Winning Grammy does not make you bigger or better than others.
Not winning Grammy does not mean your crafts are useless.

I know over 10 American rappers who never won a Grammy but you can't talk about Hip Pop and you don't mention their names.

Imagine someone like Nas just won his first Grammy after how many years in the industry? He never made it a big deal.

What's your own achievement in life? You think it is easy for other part of the world to listen to your creative arts, buy it and dance to it.
Please try creating something for your yourself and get recognitions for it then we talk.
All these noise won't help you.

I don't need any award to know that people appreciate my work or that I am doing well in my field.
Then you will go hungry and become a local chicken.
Why do employers ask for any award attached to your CV?
You better change your thinking.

People who shout 'e choke' cos they see their stars with foreign stars, and celebrate foreign stars following them on social media, how wouldn't they worship Grammys?

We africans have always celebrated trivial things.
Rio Ferdinand is a Nigerian chief for God's sake!

Is it now that Nigerians have won it that it is not worth the hype. Bunch of persons not seeing anything good in others. You better celebrate with the Nigerian winners.

The aim of this thread is to know why Africans see winning Grammy as everything

I want to believe that Burna album winning the Grammy has a lot to do with Diddy co-producing that album.

Also Wizkid Grammy win has a lot to do with Beyonce featuring in the song.

Did P Diddy produce African Giant? Remember it was nominated for the Grammys
