All creature comforts are made to fit the normal (i.e. average) demographic.

In the case of height, it will be nigh impossible to get a lot of things off-the-shelf if you're either too tall or too short, from clothes to shoes to beds/mattresses to things we all take for granted like toilet seats and shower heads!

Most things need to be specially made/bespoke, for you to enjoy them.

Still, too tall is waaaay better than being a dwarf or hobbit type of person.

However, it's the health issues that are scary. There's a reason why most really old people are "little, old men" or "little old ladies".

As a person of average income and average daily activity, it's better to have a compact body than too long or too short. The extremes both have their issues.

I'm 5-11 and sometimes, as I hit middle age, I wish I was smaller than I am. Young people enjoying their height, wait till you hit 50 and above......and pray you don't gain any weight.

I am taller than you and I'm fine. Once I went to the market to buy trousers and the guy I entered his shop didn't have my lenght so he started going to other shops to bring trousers; no shop had my lenght. Soon, shop owners started coming to see who the person is.

Dude it was embarrassing initially but pride creeped in from nowhere and I felt great.

Ceiling fans are still my enemy and I don hit my head on things to the extent that I no longer feel any pain when I do.

Let's not forget the fact that I can't sit just anywhere in public transports because of my legs.

I'm giving you relatable experiences so you will know that you're not alone so be proud of your height.

Name calling? That's no big deal. Even me, I still playfully call my husband Dongo cause he's really, really tall. I'm only as tall as his chest and I'm not short for a woman. I like how he seems like my protector or looking like some knight beside me. I feel safe. Many women love tall men. I don't date short people for a fact, that's one of the criteria so your height, I want to believe, is more of a blessing than a curse. Bask in the ambience!

how do you walk around girls, don't you feel somehow weird or different because Nigerians are majorly short and most times I end up being the tallest in gatherings

I was able to fish one out and he gave me a sterne warning not to expose him when he came to see my father un his office.

Nigeria universities are nothing to write home about, that's how uniben misplaced my exam paper and when result came out it was showing missing script.

They derive pleasure in failing students, a student will have 44 in his papers only one mark to push that person to 45 they won't do it, rather they'll be happy to see that person carry that course over.

Uniben is one hell of a school which I won't any of my brothers or sisters to go, most of the lecturers there are sinister.
