They endorsed All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential standard bearer Asiwjau Bola Tinubu, saying that his leadership will usher in a new era of hope, socio-economic growth and political development. The endorsement meeting was hosted in Akure, capital of Ondo State, by Afenifere leader Pa Reuben Fasoranti, who prayed for Tinubu’s success at the poll. A support group of Labour Party, LP and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi has accused the chairman of the party in Lagos state, Kayode Salako of working against the party in the state. For tribal reasons, Seyi Makinde is supporting Tinubu. One would expect that as a young visionary, he would support Obi since he and his group are against Atiku. Posterity will judge him. |
TINUBU MUST NOT BE TRUSTED. HE WILL ANNEX NIGERIA TO BECOME HIS YORUBA EMPIRE LIKE LAGOS. PEOPLE LIKE OLUOMO WILL LORD IT OVER NORTHERN TRANSPORTERS. TINUBU DOMINATES ANYTHING HE TOUCHES PETER IS A PATHWAY TO IP@B. HE WILL DIVIDE NIGERIA AFTER RULING. KWAMKWASO WILL SIMPLY SHARE ATIKUS VOTE. HE DOES NOT STAND A CHANCE ANYWHERE BEYOND THE NORTH. THE NORTH MUST NORTH WASTE THEIR VOTE ON HIM. DONT PLAY WITH THIS INFORMATION. |
SPLIT OPPOSITION VOTE IS A REALITY A VOTE FOR PETER OBI IS A VOTE FOR TINUBU DON’T COME BACK HERE TO CRY!!! VOTING ATIKU MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT CHOOSE BUT IT IS A GOOD CHOICE TO SAVE US FROM DOOM! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UK-based Fitch Solutions Groups says the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the most likely to win the 2023 presidential election. The group, in a report ahead of the election slated for February next year, said many factors pointed towards a Tinubu victory at the polls. “Indeed, we maintain our view that the ruling party’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the candidate most likely to win the presidential election as a split opposition vote will favour the All Progressives Congress,” FSG said. Among what the group said would grant a Tinubu victory is his performance as governor of Lagos State, the choice of his running mate and the party, APC. “We expect that the party, which has nominated a Muslim-Muslim ticket, will repeat its strong performance in the North. Given that Tinubu is a former governor of Lagos, the party is also likely to improve on its performance in the South West. Furthermore, we expect Tinubu to benefit from incumbency advantages, with the APC having been in power since 2015,” the report stated. On recent polls which have been giving victory to Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the group said the polls were overstating his popularity. It further added that the polls were skewed towards the urban few. The report said, “At Fitch Solutions, we believe that recent polls are significantly overstating support for Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate running in Nigeria’s February 2023 presidential election. Surveys showing that Obi is ahead of his opponents Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress; APC) and Atiku Abubakar (People’s Democratic Party; PDP) were mostly based on responses gathered online. Since only 36.0% of Nigerians use the Internet (World Bank, 2020), we believe that these results are skewed towards urban, affluent voters who are most likely to support Obi. We also highlight that these polls suggest that a large share of voters remain undecided.” It further added that it would be difficult for the LP flagbearer to get significant number of votes in the North. “Even if these surveys were accurate at a national level, Obi’s lack of support in Nigeria’s Muslim-majority North would make it difficult for him to win next year’s election. Indeed, the North is home to the majority of all voters and turnout in this part of the country tends to be relatively high, underscoring the importance of the Northern electorate. “According to Nigeria’s 1999 constitution, a candidate can only be elected if they both receive the majority of overall votes and over 25.0% of votes in at least 24 of the country’s 36 states. Given that Obi’s Labour Party has limited infrastructure in the North, he will struggle to meet this second voting requirement. Indeed, the Labour Party is not even running candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives in many northern constituencies. :Furthermore, the northern electorate historically tends to vote for presidential candidates from their region. With Obi being a Christian from the South (Anambra State), increasing his voter share in the North will prove challenging,” the FSG added. The report also stated that PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar would feel the impact of the support wave Obi is getting, which will be an advantage for Tinubu. “While we believe Obi is unlikely to win the election, he will probably do well for a third party candidate. Indeed, a third-party candidate has never reached more than 7.5% of votes in Nigeria. However, due to his frugal reputation and large social media following we expect Obi to get a higher share of the vote than previous third-party candidates. “As such, we believe that Obi’s popularity will most likely split the opposition vote, at the expense of the PDP. The PDP’s candidate (Atiku Abubakar) is a Northerner and we believe that the party’s only route to victory is expanding its vote in the South West and North Central states, while retaining large majorities in the South South and South East. “However, given Obi’s popularity in the south – especially the South South and South East – we believe it is unlikely the main opposition party will be able to gain more votes in these parts of the country,” the report added. |
BluntCrazeMan:ATIKU TOO FINE. |
Gradually, the North is aligning to vote ATIKU because of the humiliation Wike and 6 other governors are giving ATIKU. Kwankwaso is being relegated. The north is taking a full stand. Northern elites have more to gain with ATIKU in place. When ATIKU wins. The biggest loser will be WIKE. The fact that he has been spending state funds radically. I am certain he will rot in jail. |
Isokiscool:Nigerians are poor. This fact will not enable them make logical conclusions. Poor people are vulnerable and susceptible to making wrong decisions. It is a vicious cycle |
Tinubu is a ruthless politician. Yes. Read it again. He is a politicians politician. He will play this game to the end. The cabal in Aso rock did not understand what hit them when he clinched the party ticket by landslide. In his words "I made Buhari president". They thought he was making a jest. he grabbed the APC party ticket and displaced even the party chairman that announced a preferred candidate. You cannot win such a man by mere wishes or expectations. You can only win him with a united front and STRATEGY. TINUBU has proved to be a political genius overtime. He has refused to grant interviews in the face of public outcry because he has a game plan. He does not care. The best politicker will win and others (especially the people) will lick their wounds. Two separate Opposition against Tinubu is the worst opposition ever. |
[quote author=kcnwaigbo post=117921318]Oga there is a new electoral law in place. The era of relying on Governors to rig elections for you is over.Tinubu is not even remotely popular outside his SW region.Even in the SW he does not command an overwhelming lead. You don't have facts. You cannot just make a vague statement without buttressing your resolve with logical points. This is not a beer parlour discussion. |
buckeyemedia:Just like a football match. Politics is not linear. People need to commit to deeper thinking. Emotions and feelings will nit get us there. We must be strategic. Compromise and choose the lesser evil. |
Vulturereloaded:This is not a beer parlour. If you have a contrary opinion. Lay your points on the table for all to see. Who knows, we may learn a thing or two. |
TakeNigeriaBack:Read. Introspect. Learn |
TheSameGuy:You dont need to know me. I may be feeding your family. |
It is becoming clear that 7 PDP governors are working for Tinubu. This includes the presidency that was initially reluctant. The presidency has provided the presidential aircraft to service Tinubu's movements across the country. 22 APC governors have vowed to ensure that TINUBU emerges. Nigeria is the second poorest country in this world. Money will play a huge role. People at the rural areas will succumb to the influence, money and power of the elite because they have weaponised poverty. No form of sensitization against vote buying at this time will eradicate poverty. Obidients (Natural PDP supporters) are enforcing TINUBU's win. How are they doing it? They have focused their clamour around the 2% enlightened youth on social media and urban cities. Their influence is mostly in the South East and South South. They will radically share PDP votes. With almost 32 governors in support of Tinubu. He will get 25% of votes in every states atleast. A VOTE FOR OBI IS A VOTE FOR TINUBU |
muykem:It is wrong for Yoruba to do 8 years as President and is planning to do another 8 years. ATIKU is a better choice. |
Kenneth4u205:You are playing with a governor that has 100,000 foot soldiers for election? I don't know how you people think oo. I don't know your worth but your false awareness has a price and you can be bought. |
