These countries already have advanced economies, while Nigeria was still trying to gain independence. Even with that, now getting a job is not as easy a task as it used to be, even in the US. Right now, I know people who have degrees from prestigious institutions struggling to land a job that used to be ready for them before they even graduate. In fact, a lot of people who graduated from Harvard Business School are struggling to get jobs; this used to be automatic.
Back to my main point, the government should not be in the business of starting businesses; the government should create an enabling environment for private individuals like Dangote, Oyenmaand others to start businesses and employ people.

Govt job is to build roads, schools, rail systems, business special areas, electricity, and other factors that will help any business to succeed.
We have ways to go, but we are heading in the right direction.

The govt should not be i the business of dictating the price of currency, let the market determine the value of your currency., It might be hard now, but it will be off in the long run.

Govt-owned enterprises have worked for China, but it has basically failed everywhere else.
