The blockwall started yesterday which is the first of March, and as at this noon we are above the window level already.

This is the foundation floor referred to as the GERMAN FLOORING. This stage concludes the substructure(foundation) works.

The floor was casted in just a day

Total volume of concrete used for the German flooring is 14cubic meter

Unfortunately, I've not been able to give a daily update.
The work is moving at a speedbof light as the client needs this completed as soon as possible

The ground beam has been casted as specified....and the internal formwork loosened.

Following a little delay as a result of the persistence rainfall ...we finally got to the concluding part of the reforcement for the beams and formwork.

The form works used here are combination of steel and marine plywood

Hi everyone ..

I'll be updating this thread on the construction process of a modern security building.

The project is located along Lagos/Ibadan expressway, MOWE, Ogun state

Project is owned by a Nairalander (moniker withheld)

Although, there's a Main contractor on site, we came in as a Nominated Subcontractor.

Project Duration = 3months

As a Qs graduate with good grades, you have a very high chances of securing a good job ASAP after your studies as compared to other discipline.

2. Is the course tough?

No. Issue is, you have to be smart, calculative and be able to imagine.
Mostly, what you're gonna be taught are arithmetics you've came across before but in a different form.

3. Where can i work with a degree in quantity surveying in Nigeria ?

* Qs consulting firms

* Lecturing
* Banks
* Insurance Companies
* Real Estate
e.t.c.....any establishment that have a building/construction department
