Politics / Re: Peter Obi Needs To Withdraw From The Race ....... An Opinion by praxs(m): 9:03am On Nov 15, 2022
Dear Gourdoinc,

First of all, I comment you for stating your opinion clearly. Opinions are personal judgement not necessarily based on fact. To this end, I won’t oppose your opinion but rather state some facts.

Each contestant that has ever contested or is contesting always says that he is or will always be answerable to the masses. Ranging from time immemorial, we saw the promises that came with Buhari presidency. In my opinion, no contesting president has the masses at heart going by their respective past antecedents.
Talking about the past, is there any difference between PO and other governors? Anambra isn’t different from Enugu, Akwaibom, Kano or OyO. it’s just your regular Nigerian state with only pints and drops of achievements here and there. You can go ahead and list PO’s achievement, but remember that Kwankwaso’s achievement can be listed with backing of the facts. You further asserted that if Po eventually wins, he will be opposed and persecuted. He was sitting governor for 8 years, who opposed, persecuted and stopped him from turning Anambra to little cape town? If he couldn’t do it as a sitting governor, all of a sudden he will miraculously turn Nigeria to Dubai. We all can castigate Tinibu for having a drug related past or saying Atiku stole or his region is battling with insecurity or high number of school dropouts but turn a blind eye to the fact the PO’a region is busy destroying the image of the country with drug trafficking all over the world, high number of UGM activities, ritualist killings up and down. So when you state that pO represents everything against the natural order of Nigerian politics, the facts are obviously against your assertion unless you deliberately turned a blind eye to the failings of PO as a governor and the kind of environment and future he created for the SE youths that the became the worlds drug lords, killings, ritual sacrifices. He has nothing to offer more than what TInibu, Atiku or Kwankwasso can offer.

I am for Atiku proudly

Some of your guys here really do not understand this man or lack capacity to read his mind. What’s with the “learn to stay alone, that’s how maturity is blah blah blah”…

Op, you are not alone. I am also married with a kid, but disconnected from lots of friends due to the obvious factors you highlighted. Sometimes, you want to go out, chill and catch fun but you have really limited number of friends that you feel you can easily connect with. Mine is even worse than yours when I factor in the fact that I don’t drink or smoke. So basically going to the bar is out of it for me. Most stiles, the routine is just work and home. I recently started involving myself with my tribal programs that is being done on monthly basis. If you are rhe exercise loving type, you might want to hit the gym or where you can go engage in sport and meet other people. That’s the best advice I can give you

Democracy is a game of numbers, if he has the numbers then he wins. Presidency isnt giving, rather through voting.

We will vote for the right candidate and that candidate is Atiku. I urge you to join the unifying train in rescue the nation called Nigeria. Atiku is calling you, vote Atiku, vote good governance

Jonathan was an accident. He came to power through the doctrine of necessity. Go back to the beginning. The North has dominated power for like 75% of the time. Did Nigeria begin in 1999?
1 Alhaji Tafawa Balewa 1960-1966 North 6 years
2 Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi 1966-1966 South Less than 1 year
3 Gen. Yakubu Gowon 1966-1975 North 9 years
4 Gen. Murtala Mohammed 1975-1976 North Less than 1 year
5 Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo 1976-1979 South 3 years
6 Alhaji Shehu Shagari 1979-1983 North 4 years
7 Gen. Mohammadu Buhari 1983-1985 North 2 years
8 Gen. Ibrahim Babangida 1985-1993 North 8 years
9 Chief Ernest Shonekan 1993-1993 South Less than 1 year
10 Gen. Sani Abacha 1993-1998 North 5years
11 Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar 1998-1999 North 1 year
12 Chief Olusegun Obasanjo 1999-2007 South 8 years
13 Alhaji Musa Yar’Adua 2007-2010 North 3 years
14 Dr. Goodluck Jonathan 2010-2015 South 5 years.
15 Alhaji Mohammadu Buhari 2015-2023 North 8 years
So with this power equation you blindly expected the south to stop GEJ from completing his God-given tenure? Is Power food? Has it benefited the North? Since independence the North has ruled for over 45 out of 62 years. Is that not greed? What kind of creatures are you people?

So with the support SS and SE gave Jonathan in 2011 and 2015, you expect Northerners to support PO. How was Jonathan`s rule benefitted you? has it turn youR region or Nigeria to Dubai? Do you world class health facilities? so at the end, all the leaders have failed the masses both from the North and South. Stop pretending like the South is some sort of Newyork while the North is a cave.

My point to the specific is that: the south knew it was the turn of the north 2011 and 2015 but they supported Jonathan. Dont expect the north to support PO. we will canvass, mobilise, support and vote for our own. HE Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Atleast, he will make the country habitable and give Nigeria a good name as oppose the name your brothers are giving the country in Asia and other parts of the world

Atiku Abubakaaaarrr!! Good of you, but you are going nowhere. We cannot continue to sustain a nonexistent myth of some super race. Buhari is just leaving after 8 complete years and you want to take over? It's not fair. I could have voted you if not that Buhari just ruled. I have nothing against Atiku but the concidence spoiled everything. I am suspicious too of these people who only donate when elections are around. It's like bribing the beautiful bride when the prick is erect, ready to Bleep and disappear. No love. We have passed that level.

You might be right that Upon Buhari`s completion of northern 8 years, Atiku is contesting to win. Lets rewind back to 2007.

The south through OBJ just completed its 8 years rule. Yardua took over but death came calling in 2010. Jonathan completed the term to 2011. I NEVER HEARD THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY PUSHING jONATHAN TO ALLOW THE NORTH COMPLETES ITS TERM. 2015 CAME, JONATHAN also won the PDP primaries. Guess which part of the country supported his ambition more? The SS and SE. The hypocrisy here is you never saw it wrong that the south should rule Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 and 2010 till 2019 (If Jonathan had won). All of a sudden, Atiku is a hypocrite for contesting. What kind of creatures are you people?

Most security incidence in the north, people from other parts of the country starts blaming all northerners, who are victims of the killings. The bandits, BH are northern but not all northeners are bh, bandits. Therefore Nigerians should stop blaming the victims and rather start blaming the failed govt of Jonathan and Buhari.

If you see sense with my asserting and agree to it, then you are right

Hahaha! Who is the PDP woman leader? Zamfara is the least northern state the your Tinibu will get votes. People are tired of your party, you think the massses are enjoying the insecurity and hunger? To cap it off, you even mentioned Zamfara. This is to tell you how disconnected you are to the reality. I sincerely sympathize with you.I urge you not to lower your expectations regarding getting northern votes. Your redemption will not come in 2023. It may come in 2027 or 2031 with a different candidate and under a different party. Definitely not in 2023.

And this not about my wish or yours, it’s the reality of what is on ground. People are tired of the suffering.
Tinibu has perhaps, done well for his people (according to you,I wouldn’t dispute as I am not Yoruba) but he won’t have the numbers to win. The MM killed his chances of getting reasonable votes across the spread of the country.

Who are the "we"?.. You can only speak for yourself. Majority of us in the SW voted for Buhari and we would stand by it forever and we owe nobody an apology. Whether you decided to reciprocate the gesture or not, would be seen come February. However, you are too insignificant to speak on the behalf of the entire North. As was 2019, we expect some SWners vote for Atiku, some for Obi while majority for Tinubu. In SW, we keep our expectations reasonable. Just as it wasn't all Northerners that voted Buhari as well.
I quoted your earlier comment to remind you that Atiku destroyed our Educational system and as such, building AUN with looted public funds was never an achievement of any standards but a man deserving of jail. Tinubu, on the other hand, improved Lagos State Educational system as a Governor.

You attacked me for using “we” positing that I can only speak for the myself and not the entire north. You are right here
Funny enough, you went ahead and assert that “WE I.e majority of Sw standby voting Buhari in 2019 without apology. If Binani was already the coordinator, why then will they still appoint Babale as another coordinator? Abi one coordinator won’t be enough to get Tinibu some votes from Adamawa ni?

Who is Murtala that you quoted? You said you have Aziz and Fintiri is acted of Binani. How? 2019 Binani contested for Senate while Aziz cons tested for governorship. Was it not the same Fintiri that defeated them? How comes they couldn’t clinched the governorship sit since they are that strong even though 2019 was top.

Which people? When and how did he abandoned us or we abandon him?
Faro bottle water, juice and textile industries are produced in Yola and distributed across Nigeria and exported outside. Atiku here isn’t just creating jobs and increasing govt IGR, he is helping Naira gain value. If tinibu can contribute to production and export as oppose importation, we will not be battling inflation

With regards to what his people benefit.
1) AUN employing thousand of citizens including Bat supporters
2) primary and secondary school employing hundred of citizens
3) granting scholarship in his scholarship for the less privileged (case of chibok girls)
4) Adama beverages comprising of table water, natural juice and textile industry. With depots in Kano and Abia and exporting to neighboring countries.
5) Atiku farms producing maize and cotton which is equally exported.
6) chicken cottage: fast food brand
7) Gotel TV and radio station, one if not the most popular station across northern Nigeria
coolrecently commission woven sack plat in Yola that target to inject 50billion Naira by 2023 into Adamawa state.

These are his personal investments in his home state that helps in poverty alleviation, creating jobs and putting money into the masses pocket for them to be able to care for their health when their is health challenge.

How then do you say he has abandoned his people or we abandoned him? Tinubu is rather taking away from the Lagos governor into his pocket through beta consultancy,, lekki toll gates and others. It’s such a shame you are even comparing the two. One gives to his state, while the other is milking his state.

We will mill vote for Atiku.

Meanwhile, below picture is a screen shot of Buhari SA. You Cana go to his Facebook page and check the comments yourself. Bye bye to APC, so can keep on consoling yourself with northern votes that is not coming.

This is true, Hon Namdaz gave out the car.

However, you should have shared and told the whole picture.
Picture 123 is the inauguration of the batshet campaign in ganye. Going by the crowd, you could see clearly that people did not buy into it.

Picture number 4 is just the inauguration of a PDP member in same Adamawa state.

I leave you to compare the APC presidential inauguration vs PDP house of assembly inauguration from the same state.

Even Peter Obi will score more votes than your tinubu in Adamawa.

After obasanjo’s presidency, yaradua was in power for just 3 years when death came calling. Jonathan picked from there. 2011 was supposed to be the turn of the north but Jonathan contested and won, with south east giving him the highest voting percentage. 2015 also came, Jonathan knowing fully well that it should be the turn of the north, contested again (although he lost).guess which region gave him the highest voting percentage again? The south east.
The same region is now screaming, insulting, calling Atiku names when the turned a blind eye in 2011 and 2015. If this isn’t hypocrisy, what don’t know what it is
