Akposy: The truth is that myself and the average Nigerian cannot afford oat talk more of using it as swallow. The least price of 500g pack of Oat is 1000 naira. Now, imagine using 1000 for just two swallows. It will not even be enough to feed a family of 3 per eating (swallow).
IMO, there's nothing bad in eating yam/pounded yam. We should not let this white people deceive us or make our traditional meal look like poison. Yam is a good source of carbohydrate (polysaccharide) and we (Nigerians) need enough energy to survive this era. Also, yam is not eaten alone. We enjoyed our yam with soups which are good source of proteins (meat, fish) and other vital elements.
Like you said, we need to work out. It's very important we work out and take fruits, herbs and other nature's supplements.
Petyprincess: I buy food stuffs every week so I go to the supermarkets almost every week since I cook myself. I don't think things are expensive here compare to the standard of living they are relatively affordable but we have different definitions of affordable according to people. The foodstuffs in this cart is around 2k rupees which is equivalent to 20k naira The tomatoes is 39 rupees that's 390 naira sort depends on one's definition of expensive. When I came here I was converting everything to naira but along the line I stopped doing that because it will make it difficult to buy stuff.
the tomatoes is very cheap, compared to the ones I buy here
Akposy: Recipe Golden penny spaghetti Salt Onion Fresh pepper Soy sauce Curry Carrot Knorr cube Soy or groudnut oil
Using a big pot, add salt to water and boil. Add spaghetti to boiling water (do not break biko ). Don't cover too (my opinion) Remove the spaghetti from heat when it's Al dente (not too strong or too soft, something chewable). Sieve via a colander or our regular filter. In a small pot or pan, heat your oil. Add in onions and fry till translucent. Add in your chopped or roughly blended pepper (be careful here so you'll not choke to death ). Fry for some time. Add in the other things with exception to soy sauce. If the sauce is getting too dry, add in little quantity of the spaghetti water. Add in your soy sauce (it gives it that jollofy dark colour. It should be the last thing you add). Add in your spaghetti. Mix till everything is well coated and combined. Cover and allow to simmer. Stir again and serve!
MrBrownJay1: you dont want people to be slaves abroad but you rather they stay in Nigeria and be slaves to men like you, abi?! narrow minded state of mind from people who only care about their own pockets... whether abroad or in Nigeria, people should look for their happiness wherever they desire, and so long as they aint doing anything wrong/illegal or against the law to care for their family, these fake men of god should be happy for these people instead of looking down on them.
these men always read the bible backwards in order that it fits their deluded agenda!!!
This is one helluva nice bedroom music....Any woman/man who hasn't played this song recently during kpekusiology is wasting away in the land of no fun. .
